Udne Ki Aasha: Guddi Maruti Opens Up About Playing Mandira, Says "The Audience Must Really Be Hating Mandira"

Reflecting on the audience's response to Mandira, Guddi believes viewers have fully accepted her as the show's villain.

She says, "I think the audience must really be hating Mandira because of all the problems she keeps creating for Sailee. When people react so strongly to a negative character, it means you are doing your job well. I take that as a compliment because it shows they are emotionally invested in the story," she says with a laugh.

For Guddi, such reactions from viewers are a sign that the character has connected with the audience exactly as intended.

The actress is also excited about the upcoming kidnapping track, which she says will bring a major surprise for viewers.

Speaking about the upcoming episodes, Guddi shared, "The kidnapping sequence is really very, very interesting. The audience is going to love it because there is a lovely twist to the whole thing. It's not what people will expect, and that's what makes it even more exciting. I think everyone should watch this track unfold because it has a lot of drama and fun packed into it," she shares.

According to Guddi, the kidnapping sequence has been designed in a way that will keep viewers guessing. She believes the unexpected twist in the storyline is what makes the track even more entertaining.

Apart from the dramatic moments, Guddi also enjoys the unique qualities that Mandira brings to the show. She revealed that the perfect balance between negativity and comedy was what most attracted her to the character.

Talking about Mandira, she said, "What I love about Mandira is that she has negative shades, but at times there's comedy too. It's a lovely combination. Earlier in my career I mostly played comedy roles, and I enjoyed every bit of them. Now I'm equally enjoying playing this negative character because it's so much fun troubling the hero and heroine," she says, bursting into laughter.

Guddi explained that, having previously played several comedy roles, she finds it equally enjoyable to portray a negative character who also has humorous moments.

Looking back on her journey on the show, the actress admitted that choosing a single memorable scene is not easy because she has performed many challenging sequences.

However, if she had to choose one, she said, "There have been so many challenging sequences that it's hard to pick only one. But if I had to, I'd say the scene where Mandira brings the financer to the Deshmukh house and exposes Tejas' fraud in front of everyone. That was a powerful moment and a turning point in the story."

Guddi believes that the particular sequence was one of the biggest turning points in the narrative, as Mandira exposed Tejas' fraud before the entire Deshmukh family.

When asked whether Mandira will finally have to face the consequences of everything she has done, Guddi preferred not to reveal much about the upcoming storyline.

Instead, she hinted that viewers should wait for another major twist in the kidnapping track.

She concluded by saying, "There is a big twist in this entire kidnapping track, and I think the audience should watch it to enjoy the fun. And as for Mandira tasting her own medicine... itni jaldi toh main apni hi dawa nahi chakhne wali. Abhi toh party shuru hui hai," she signs off with her trademark sense of humour.
