Archu tells him not to worry unnecessarily, Rani says there is nothing to worry about, so stop worrying. Sivagami calls Archu to find out what happened about Rani, and Archu tells her there was no problem, Rani is working because she wants to. Sivagami tells her about Kavya and Cherry returning, and tells them to go and hand over the invitations to them also. Archu passes on the good news about their return and the successful treatment and tells selvam to go there to give them the invitation.

Priya tells her father that Jayanthy wants to buy a chain for herself, but said she couldn't buy anything for herself without asking the others in the house, since she hands over all her pay to her MIL.Jayanthy says this is for Archana's gowravam, they must wear lots of jewelry to the grihapravesam. sivagami hands over a list to Mr. Siva, and says they must get a chain for 2 pavun and a lot of seeru. Both Mr. Siva and Priya try to talk her out of this major expense, which will be about Rs. 1 lakh. Jayanthy is shocked, but Sivagami insists and Mr. Siva says he has only 10 or 15 K with him, Vinod says he can get another 10K, then he tells Jayanthy to take off her chain and bangles. She is shocked, and so are Priya and Mr. Siva, but Vinod says she is a member of the family and he will get it back when he gets the money. Jayanthy says why don't you take it out of the 45 pavun gold of Archana's? Priya also agrees, but Sivagami says that is Archana's jewels, nothing should be taken out of that. Vinod insists on Jayanthy giving her bangles and chain, and Priya also sides with him. Jayanthy is furious, and Sivagami is relieved.

Jail - Sindha and Jayanthy show the invitations to Dheena, and goad him by saying how Archana used to be in an old sari and now she is in a silk sari in a car, selvam is wearing new clothes and driving a car and living like a maharaja, all thanks to him. Sindha is furious that Sivagami is so happy about Selvam's and Archana's good luck. Dheena decides that Selvam should never be happy, without nimmadhi, and Jayanthy tells him that she told Selvam about Rani working, but somehow her plan backfires, and they are still happy. Sindha says they should take revenge on all of them, including Nandini, who pretended to help them in stopping the marriage of Selvam and Archana, but has now been responsible for Selvam's success. Dheena tells them to make sure that the grihapravesam does not go smoothly, so Jayanthy says they must do kalagam by inciting Bhagyam.
