Written Update: 23rd August

A new morning in Purohit house… They are getting ready to celebrate Janmashtami & Uttang has an earthern pot in his hand. Shobna & Dadaji are standing with Uttang & Dadi, who is having her rant as usual that they got a pot but don't even know what all to add to it.. Minu comes there too & huh?? Is it Tej in the background decorating the house???😲(Finally…kuch kaam toh kiya!!!) Dadi tells Raandal to be quick as well. Laxmi rushes & bumps into Shobna. She seeks her blessings. Shobna pretends to sympathise with Laxmi & offers to try to appease Angad on her behalf. Laxmi smiles & lets her know that Angad is no longer mad at her. Shobna is shocked. Laxmi informs her of her promise to study further & expresses her happiness at getting Angad & her(Shobna's) support. (Ok…the way Laxmi held onto Shobna's hand & Shobna squirming….gosh!! I squirmed too!!! A quick hug is fine by me…but this touchy feely thing…so not my scene!!🤔) Shobna sends her off to help with the preparations.

Laxmi rushes to the kitchen where Kaaveri worries about the tense situation between AnXmi. Laxmi happily chirps that AnXmi are back to being friends(waiting…waiting…they will soon be more!!!be patient my heart!!) Kaaveri then asks whether they are just friends or something more. Laxmi's face falls. Kaaveri consoles her that things will work out.

Minu goes to Shobna's room, reading a magazine & throwing it on bed furiously. Shobna snaps at her, demanding to know the reason for her frustration. Minu says that the magazine had some horror saas-bahu tales wherein the DIL has tortured the MIL. She then says that she is worried as now Shobna is a MIL too. 😆😆 Shobna shuts her up & asks her to concentrate on makeup instead of such stories!!! However, she is perturbed & decides that she wont let Laxmi win over Angad.🤢

Uttang asks Mahen to tighten flower decorations. Mahen asks him to get the ghoda (gosh…I didn't know ladders were called ghodas!!!😲Mahen's classes are so apt for me too!!!😆) But Mahen is really cute at rebuking Uttang(called him a gadha-donkey!!)🤣 Uttang gets it & complains about its weight. Mahen says it still weighs less than you😉 😆 Then Uttang asks Mahen to quickly get up & fix the decoration. Mahen says that he wont do it, Uttang will. Uttang falters & is nervous. He tries to talk out of it, but Mahen doesn't let him. Laxmi is smiling at the duo from the kitchen. Uttang somehow climbs up the ladder when Raandal comes & says the ladder will break. She teases Uttang about his weight & then challenges him to catch her, while shaking the ladder. He starts coming down to chase her.

Laxmi is busy observing them & accidentally cuts her thumb. However, just as she is about to continue chopping the veggies, Angad comes there & tells her that he will put ointment over it. (Hm…he looks good in the purple shirt!!!😳) She politely tells him off as there is a lot of work left. However, he insists that the wound will hurt so the meds are important. He drags her & makes her sit on a chair. Kaaveri is pleased to see this. Angad then admonishes her for her inability to take care of herself. Laxmi then comments that it's a small wound, then why is he so troubled by it. He states simply that he cares for her, just like she cares for him.😳 She smiles while Angad bandages her wound (hmm…don't know why he didn't just use a band aid??!!!!🤪 These ppl are so Over The Top..😆) & we hear Reshmi kyu ho gayi after so many days!!!!!

Wuhooo…Harsukh ka paycheck days coming up soon!!!🥳He is back as Kaaveri's sound board! She sits next to him & prays for his quick recovery.Hila hilaa…Harsukh's fingers are moving….but Kaaveri doesn't see it as Uttang just then calls out for her!!!!

Everyone is downstairs & Laxmi who looks v pretty in a peach-white net sari & open hair, touches Kaaveri's feet. Its 12 at night & dadi asks Laxmi to unveil God. She obliges & they all celebrate Janmashtami! Haathi ghoda paalki jay kanhaiya laal ki!! Angad looks smoking hot in a kurta & with his new haircut!!! Me swooning…bachao koi!!😍 Vijay sneaks a peak at his sapoot too, but Angad catches the glance & Vijay looks away. Shobna now sneaks a peak at her hubby. 😆 Everyone takes turns at swinging the swing. AnXmi do it hand in hand.Wuhoo!! Dadaji then announces that they will perform the 'breaking of pot suspended high in the air' tradition this year too but it will be broken by Angad as he has been away for so many years. Uttang is asked to help Angad, but Uttang cant lift Angad properly. Dadaji then asks Vijay to help Angad. Tension crackles as Vijay tries to hedge the request. Dadaji coerces him that between Dadaji & him, if Dadaji does it, he will end up in the hospital with broken back. When Vijay doesn't respond, Dadaji pretends to go & lift Angad, but Vijay stops him just in time. Everyone is secretly happy & Angad cant contain his joy. Vijay finally lifts Angad who breaks the pot. Everyone is cheering & Angad tries to say something when Vijay walks away. Dadaji then suggests they all do garba & everyone obliges.🥱

In the night, Laxmi is sitting in front of Lord Krishna's idol & expresses her heart's desires. She says that any married girl doesn't only want a complete family, but also wishes to get her hubby's love. She admits that Angad is a good being & cares for her, but prays that he soon realises that she is not just a friend to him but also his wife. She cries & yearns for his love. 😭 Then she wipes her tears & is about to get up when she sees Angad who has heard all this & is looking at her sternly. She quietly gets up & walks past him. A sad Reshmi bg score plays as Laxmi closes her room's door & sits in front of the mirror. Angad comes & opens the door while noticing tears in Laxmi's eyes.

Precap: Angad is walking away when Kaaveri stops him & asks him why is he so disturbed. He says Laxmi…who comes to the inner balcony upstairs & observes the exchange quietly. Kaaveri tells Angad how come he is so impatiently looking for Laxmi? He just denies it & goes away, while Laxmi smiles.
