Hello guys, Lizzy here...I'm your backup updater for today! Sorry it took so long, comp was going bonkers on me.

So...22nd August was the day Mohan Galla made his entry...and GOSH what a dhamaka of an entry it was! 🥳 Full-on attitude I tell ya!!

So without much ado...I shall move to the update...😃

Recap of Previous Episode:

1. Baapji randomly scolds everyone
2. Kastur sees Champu Mohan everywhere...walking on the road, eating puchkas, speaking Gujarati! 😃
3. We see Sarojben, Mohan's mom, for the very first time at a meeting that's taking place at the same venue where Kastur needs to do Krishna Leela practice
4. The Association takes a looong time because of Saroj's entry, so Kastur protests by practicing outside
5. Saroj hears the music and asks Kastur to postpone it, in the meantime asks after her family in a friendly tone
6. Kastur worries about whether her act of holding the practice might affect her match with Mohan

Short Update:

1. Pradeep tries to convince Jitu to come for the seemant, but Jitu remains firm.
2. Baapji scolds Bhanu and Saroj...actually scold would be an understatement here 🥱
3. Jassuben tries to convince Jitu to go for the seemant as well
4. Saroj reveals to Bhanu that Mohan is coming the next day, not 2-3 days as planned
5. MOHAN ENTERS!!! Just as Kastur is doing the Krishna Leela 😃

Part I

The episode starts with Bhanu and Saroj standing in front of Baapji aka Hitler like errant schoolchildren. Saroj opens her mouth to explain, but Baapji cuts her across saying that if she tries to talk too much he'll chop her tongue off (Urrgh, ab yehi baaki reh gaya...Baapji is such a daraawni figure anyway, do we HAVE to see him come up with these grisly images too? 🤢) and that she should speak only when spoken to (surprisingly, Supriyaji looks cute here, she's kinda pouting 😆)

He then turns his fury to Bhanu, chastising him for leaving the shop without telling the next person in charge what to say to Prakashbhai, who is a very important client. He blames Bhanu for Prakashbhai's switch to another masala-making house. He calls Bhanu names, and tells him that even though he knows that the offer will finally come back to him, but what angers him the most is that the two left without performing the morning aarti and without taking his permission (I SO wish Saroj had said mujhe pasand nahi over here 🤣). The next time they attempt to do such a thing, he will break their bones and leave them unable to stand (Grisly image No. 2 🤢🤢).

Saroj tries again to pacify Baapji but he tells her that he's not interested in listening. Disgusted and angry, she leaves. At this juncture, Baapji turns to Bhanu and orders him to call Prakashbhai and beg forgiveness, and make sure he gets him back to working with them. Bhanu gulps like an errant schoolboy, again, and agrees.

The scene shifts to the Desai household, where Jitu and Shardha are looking at the childhood pictures of their children. He exclaims that Pradeep has only become tall, but not mature yet...and grieves over the fact that Sonal's seemant is taking place in her maayka and not her sasural. Shardha tries to see it from Pradeep's point of view but Jitu does not agree. Pradeep enters, begging forgiveness and tries to get Jitu to come for the seemant, but Jitu tells him not to waste either of their time by trying to convince him, and that he isn't going to come at all. Disappointed, both Pradeep and Sonal leave, as Kastur looks on, worried.

Part II

Jassuben sits with Jitu, who is reading a newspaper, and tells him that he is right in being angry with Pradeep and Sonal, but wrong in not attending the seemant because it will upset Sonal, and affect the child in her womb as well. She explains that his ego will not solve problems, and not giving his blessing to the ceremony, will only have repurcussions on the child, such that maybe in the future, his own grandchild might come to him and ask him why he became a victim to whatever happened (Jassuben's right and all, but her entire explanation was a bit too much...😕). Jassuben then tells him that he shouldn't let their differences affect the relationship, and that eventually it's up to him to decide whether he wants to go for the seemant or not. She leaves him deep in thought.

The scene shifts to Bhanu and Saroj's bedroom, where Saroj is seen giving full vent to her fury at the way Baapji treats them. She rants about how Baapji even after growing so elderly still says whatever he wants without caring about how much he hurts people, and that it's useless even telling Bhanu anything because he's barely able to stand up for himself, let alone for her.

She breaks down when she explains that they are respected so much in public, but lack the same respect in their own home. She blames Bhanu for not even standing up to him once, and that she feels more like an object in the house than a member of the family, and they don't even have the freedom to breathe in their own house.

When Saroj can say no more, Bhanu tries to console her by telling her that while Baapji's words can be cruel his motives are pure, and he scolds for a reason. He adds that he can never go against Baapji again - he's done so once, that too for Mohan, and he is paying for that act of rebellion even now.

Bhanu then switches the topic to Sonal's seemant and tells them they need to get ready for it as well as call Saroj's brother Bharat and his wife Veena. Saroj tells them it isn't possible. Bhanu replies that he's already informed everyone that they're going. At this point, Saroj cuts in and tells him that Mohan is returning the next day, so it's impossible.

As soon as Saroj says this, we hear a shloka heralding the arrival of Shri Krishna, used here to describe Mohan:

Gopi Jan Ras Raas Abhilashi
Kaurav Kaaling Kans Vinasi,
Himkar Bhanuk Saan Prakasi
Sarva Bhut Hi Vas Vaiyaki
Bolo Jai Kanhaiyya Ki!

Part III

Bhanu is shocked and exclaims that Mohan was supposed to come later, and that they might get into trouble for not telling Baapji. Saroj gives him the 'I could care less' look and tells him that she's going to collect Mohan from the airport with Bharat and Veena, and that he will stay with them for a few days. She tells him that after the hullaballoo that Baapji stirred up the last time, getting Mohan in the house won't be an easy task. So saying, she leaves.

The scene shifts to the makeup room of the place where Kastur is to perform, and Jassuben keeps telling her not to be nervous and that she'll perform very well. Kastur tells her that she's the one getting nervous, to while Jassuben replies Aisa toh darr bhi darr darr kar nai bolega! 😆 As she waves Kastur off to the dressing room, she remembers this dialogue, marvels at its originality and contemplates on passing it to Sallu-da 🤣

In the meantime, Bharat, Veena and Saroj are waiting at the airport with an aarti ki thaali (Oh, honestly! ) They're searching for Mohan but cannot find him. Saroj wonders whether Sonal's parents will feel bad for her not attending, and asks Bharat and Veena if they want to go. Bharat and Veena both tell her that nothing could be better for them than the arrival of their nephew and the many things they will treat him to.

On the other hand we are shown Kastur in a lovely red Radha costume, pulling the string of a swing on which a Krishna doll sits, and singing Bansi Baajegi Radha Naachegi from Saudagar. From the look on her face you can tell that she's remembering Mohan. She does aarti of the Krishna doll and while she does so, Jassuben exclaims to the crowd that it's HER poti performing 😆

Kastur dances to her heart's content, and as she does so the plane from London lands (Kinda nice, the plane lands when she's singing Aaj sharam rastaa na rokay)

Sooo...here we are 👏🥳

When she sings Radha Naachegi...we get a peek of Mohan's feet...clad in sports shoes...⭐️

Then a shot to his back...where we see a bag slung over his shoulder...😃

Then a shot of his clothes...a pair of jeans, a white shirt and a green-brown jacket...😎

Then the scene shifts to Kastur, who is now playing Krishna in order to perform the dahi handi...she climbs over the boys who have formed a tower beneath the pot, and JUST as her hand reaches out to the dahi pot, we see a BEAUTIFUL set of hands on an escalator...😳

AND THEN...as Kastur breaks the pot, Mohan's face emerges 🥳🥳

MOHAN GALLA AA GAYAAA!!! 😃😃😃

Precap:

Bharat garlands Mohan, and Mohan laughs awkwardly, but when Veena tries to put a tika on his forehead he stops her and says "The world has changed but you people still stay the same! Can we cut the melodrama please?"

Jhakaas dialogue I say! 😃

Episode Rating: 8/10 for that awesome entry!! Minus two for the melodrama! 🥱

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when Saroj got blasted by Hitler!

She was lording it over everyone else at the Womens Association, but the moment she came home Baapji swiftly brought her crashing down from her pedestal.

Bechari. To the outside world she's no less than a Hitler herself, to Baapji she's vapour!

I don't know whether to applaud the man or smack him! 🤣
