And I really hate it. This is all GOD's gift and we have no right to comment on that. I say the same to my daughter Aditi. She sometimes says, mummy why is my skin dark and not white like Samantha... I feel bad and then I explain her that skin color does not make a difference. What makes a difference is our heart, our brain, our intelligence. Skin, beauty they all fade with age. So, do not worry about it. But always make sure that you are not intentionally doing anything wrong and not hurting anyone.
its common that people get attracted to what they dont have...most of the south asians are brown or dark as our roots date back to those of the dravidians,...the true inheritants of the indian peninsula.... now coming to the preference of the fair skin tone over the dusky skin....people crave for what they dont have, instead of thanking the lord for what they have....just like how it happens with height....the ones who are short feel that it would be nice if they are tall....but more than a certain aspect like height or skintone, its the overall personality that matters....give it a thought...would a man like to date an obese fair(lets say ghostly white) below average looking girl or a tall, slender above average looking dusly girl(like bips).....same applies to the women too...would a girl like to marry a pint sized, out of shape, fair, mediocre looking man(like the unclejis we get to see on television) or a tall, sleek , dark, good looking man(like abhi).......in the above statement, any of the 4 adjectives can be replaced, the resulting outcome would be the same....
and the explanation you gave your kid couldnt have been any more appropriate 👏👏 .....even the most good looking person on earth looks bad when she/he ages.....looks and skin tone are helpful to cast a first impression.....later, maNY other important factors come into play....why is it that so many people despise the "relatively fair", tall, slender, drop dead gorgeous ash but love the short, dusky, mediocre looking rani(or lets say why do many here like the not so perfect looking, not so perfectly inshape and relatively less fair mona compared to the string bean, fair, pretty Shilpa😉)..... the obvious answer to this very simple question would be the best snub to all those who proclaim the supremacy of non-perennial aspects like skin tone, height and looks
