Sonam Kapoor gets a pen worth Rs 27 Lakh

While shooting for the film Mausam, Pankaj Kapoor banned Shahid and Sonam from using phone, sms or email to communicate with each other. Instead, he made them write each other letters to help spark a better chemistry between his lead couple.

The two actors reportedly didn't take to this diktat very nicely at first. Nevertheless, in order to encourage Sonam and to show his appreciation, Pankaj gifted her a limited edition 24 carat gold plated Cartier pen studded with diamonds worth Rs 27 lakh recently.

The debutant director discovered Sonam's love for writing and also found her flair very fresh, thus deciding to gift her a pen.

encourage sonam with a 27 lakh pen! 😆 Sonam's a really good writer... during saawariya time in an interview sonam-ranbir made a deal that sonam would write the script of the first movie Ranbir directs!! i doubt that now... 😔

Yup with the LV logo and all. I think it goes out for $70 or something. No self respecting man would buy it I tell ya...😆
