You know, i think he himself realized how much damage that did a bit too late.

When he got recognized for Padma Shree, the only thing ppl had to say was, "for what? Tattooing kareena's name on his arm?"

Like you said, the damage is done. Bebo has always been vocal about her relatoinship, but ppl dont really hold that against her coz...well...not like she has high standards offscreen taht ppl would expect more. Bebo is bebo and ppl sorta take her for what she is.

Saif on the other hand is an intelligent man, who shoudl have bene a lot more careful about his perception in public. But he also recently confessed that he sometimes had a hard time balancing how much energy he puts into his relationships initially, that he goes overboard to begin with. Its only later he calms down and learns how to balance each aspect of his life.
