Sorry about the typo. It was a typo, I swear.😃 I've corrected it now. Going a little off topic, my one gripe about the film was the hand holding scene. And sure enough when I read about the film, I found out that the actors were not happy with it either. It was shot using "hand doubles" and added in after the test screening audience wanted a clear implication of a romance. 🤢
Really?! Wow! That's news to me...! Interesting, I need to go back watch the stuff to notice the doubles... I'm personally always the one for books over movies, but there are exceptions. Gulaal is making that exception HUGE!
As for the lehenge repetition discussion her 😆 I'm going to be the killjoy and try to rationalize this! Maybe, they've actually saved money while staying true to character? Gulaal has not lived a widow life in white, but really her ten years have been quite distasteful and colorless in concept... so maybe the repetition is just a visual means of showing how the character is oblivious or not bothered by the idea of 'looking attractive/dressing up/changing colors and combinations' ..?! I think it sort of fits. It even fits the idea that the one day when she was truly truly happy - actually looking forward to a change in her life - the day Kesar had to return, she was given that awesome bottle green maroon brown lehenga which I absolutely loved and Mansi looked gorgeous in it! It was almost like they wanted to show -extra effort! So while we got explicit scenes of Talli creating chaos over what she should wear - and still looking her ordinary self - Gulaal was truly shining!
Again - when she got the silk zarri pale pink gold border saree for Kesar Talli wedding, that was her first time wearing it, right?! Almost like something special to wear, but nothing bright, cause she was obviously stressed - like she was obligated to dress up, but her mood for it was damp from the stress of Kesar's threat...?!
This is just me reading too much into what is more likely budget coordination from the team 😆
Btw - There should be some law to ban Mansi from wearing the purple blue uniform, even if its her absolute favorite. Not even funny! 😳 To quote Nur, its like she's always waiting to get back into it 😆 If I was her real life, or onscreen husband - I would ban its existence in her wardrobe 😆
Oh as for Kesar's repeat outfits - maybe that's just happening from 'color coordination' 😆 They need to coordinate, and so when she's always repeating, he's compelled to! Maybe that's why we got those bunch of bright shirts, to sort of create a variation in his color matching too 😆 It's cute though - the way their colors go, aww, day after day! For a love story as profound, how fickle is it to give something so trivial such a damn - but aww, aww, aww ☺️
Not to miss your main point Nur - yes isn't that the beauty of the show?! How easily we can look beyond 'wardrobes' to the story itself, because not good looks, but sound plot is the USP of this show?!
Anyway - I'll be packing off now! I have a long Monday tomorrow *groans* I shall try to plead my case for next time delay with your catalyst argument Nur - but I'm not sure it will sell once I get into describing my current catalyst... 😆
