Gaurav Khanna's wife Akanksha opens up about shooting intimate scenes: 'Humare jo laws hai wo bahut strict...'

Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna’s wife Akanksha Chamola has been in the spotlight over the past few weeks. From cryptic social media posts to discussions around her professional choices, the actor has found herself at the centre of online chatter, which she later dismissed.

Akanksha is currently focused on promoting her upcoming web show Dil Dhokha aur Desire. The series features an ensemble cast including Ali Hasan, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Kriti Garg, Mahi Khan, and others. Recently, the makers released the trailer, prompting conversations around the show’s bold themes and intimate scenes.

In a recent interview with FilmyGyan, Akanksha addressed how such scenes were filmed. Speaking about the process, she stressed that censorship norms are stricter today and that the team followed all existing guidelines. She explained that scenes were shot strictly within agreed boundaries and comfort levels. She said, “Jaahan pe aapne censorship ki baat ki hai, abhi humare jo laws hai wo bahut strict ho gaye hain. So humne wo saare censorship ke guidelines ko hi follow kiya hai. Hum humare comfort zone me hi the.”

Akanksha also credited the director and crew for maintaining a supportive environment on set. She noted that without proper guidance, performing such scenes would not have been possible. She added that the supporting team remained attentive throughout the shoot, especially from a female actor’s point of view.

Elaborating further, Akanksha spoke about the presence of an intimacy coordinator during close scenes. She explained that workshops are conducted before filming to ensure clarity, trust, and comfort between co actors. According to her, preparation is treated as seriously as performance. She shared, “Everyone on the set, sabki priority hoti hai ki ladki ko comfortable rkhna hai including the male actor. Humare floor pe jab aise scene shoot hote the we were provided with an intimacy co-ordinator.”

Describing the process, she added, “There is a lot of process before going into such kind of stuff… sirf acting nahi, intimacy workshops bhi hoti hain… to line bhi cross hoti hai, intimacy coordinator hoti hai wahan pe jo aapko protect krne ke liye hoti.”
