FilmTrac Index (FTI) of films is a weighted average of the four key parameters tracked in the weekly FilmTrac carried out by Foresight Analytics.
Films scheduled for release on August 5
This week's releases are small films. Chala Mussaddi Office Office is the large screen version of the small screen television serial, Office Office. The show was quite popular with Pankaj Kapoor as Mussaddi Lal. The FTI of this film is around 2.0. Of the other films released this week, I am Kalam has the best FTI. It is around 3.4.
The low FTI of these films and the films released in the last few weeks will continue to pull the audience. Singham will gain the maximum.
Films scheduled for release in August
Aarakshan has improved its FTI from the previous week and its time adjusted FTI is around 26. Hence this film will also make a significant mark at the box office. The FTI of this film is slightly less than that of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD).
Bodyguard continues its upward mobility with the FTI at 57.6. Compare this with Ready, which had an FTI over 40 at the time of release. With the current traction, Bodyguard, will set another record at the box office.
Apart from these two films only Phhir and Yeh Dooriyan have an FTI that signifies an opening weekend of Rs 1-3 crore.
