Uff! Gotta say the Bankruptcy track was amazing! And it had a logical and exciting (yet painful) ending resulting in Maan's Memory Loss.
We all had gotten excited to see this memory loss track because it would being a new freshness to the show, to Maaneet's relationship .. and give that whole scope of "falling in love after marriage" ..
So far the memory loss track has been going great. We love how it subtly started off with Maan leaving the hospital with Daadima and Dev and hadn't thought of Geet when he woke up. That was nicely portrayed. Right from there we saw hints of Maan maybe not remembering who Geet is with the way he behaved around her, not acknowledging her etc. And when the bomb exploded that he doesn't know who she is .. not only was Geet shocked but so were the viewers. Because even though we knew it was coming .. the impact was great. DD&GC are doing a fantabulous job!
Then we saw what we wanted to see -- Geet rejoining the office .. we want her to be a career-oriented girl so I was very glad she had joined the office again. Bringing in the factor that she is 51% shares owner in KC was also a very logical touch because we'd seen Maan mention this before the Indian Paints track. We hope this will be implemented sometime later too :)
The episodes have been great so far, they are power-packed .. filled with suspense as to what will happen next, and have us all on the edge of our seats as to what will happen in Maaneet's life.
Today's episode for example was really power-packed from start to finish. We were all cringing with the things Maan said to Geet.. they were painful words for Geet, yes. We all hope to see a strong, Sherni Geet pounce back and not leave her home. She knows Maan isn't at fault .. she was just hurt that while insulting her.. he unintentionally insulted himself and his marriage too. Although Geet is thinking of leaving to give him space and to rethink everything .. I do hope she comes back and doesn't leave and shows that she can face Maan Singh Khurana :) She is a fighter and we know it!
Naintara returning to create havoc in Maaneet's life and taking revenge from Dev is a really good call! She is one antagonist that we all loved to see and loved to hate. Although her plans are always to ruin Geet's life .. she ends up bringing Maaneet closer .. that's the beauty of their relationship. This time too we feel her actions will only result in Maan and Geet coming closer than ever. It may take some time but we know for sure that it will happen :D It'll show just how strong their love is for each other.
We really can't wait to see how Geet tackles this enraged Maan and how she calms him down ..how she asserts the fact that they're married and how Maan refuses to believe it. We all want to see how Geet becomes independent enough to still work at KC .. but keeps a distance from Maan so that he himself feels the urge to come to her and get to know her and more about them :) It'll be intense for sure.
The track is going really great Vinu Ji and we hope the best for the team. And we would like to welcome Maan Singh back .. he is one of the best directors and has been with the show for a long time so he knows the characters inside and out. We can see the quality of the episodes has improved a ton just by his return!
Coming to some issues. We all wanted to see a strong Lucky who was willing to work and earn and to make a name for himself so that when he goes back to Amristar.. he can marry Preeto with dignity. But ever since he came to Delhi his character has been attached to gluttony and nothing else. He's been reduced to stuffing himself with food all day long. This is not how Lucky was in Amritsar so please look into this. We want to see a brother who cares for his sister like we saw today .. but also a man who wants to become independent. Him making Adi jealous was a good touch though .. as we wanted to see Adi/Pinky love track for a long time :)
Secondly, Nandini needs something better to do in life than to always tail Dev around. She is only singing his name wherever she goes .. she basically has no meaty role to play in this track or the show. I hope when Naintara comes into play .. Nandini finds out everything and decides to pursue her education and leaves. Naintara is the best soulmate for Dev I feel! We could see more aspects of Dev and Naintara's relationship that way.
Thirdly and lastly, Jugnu Mama. We all have no idea why he was brought back into the show as he has no role to play other than to act drunk all day long :S .. why was he brought back? Please make his character exit the show as his drunkard acts create a rift within the episode when people are waiting to watch Maaneet and their story.
Other than these three issues the track, it's execution, the way the story has been handled are all amazing! Lost viewers are back .. more people are becoming interested in now watching the show because it focuses on Maan and Geet unlike the Amritsar track where they shifted the focus to side characters. That was the biggest flaw. But with the bankruptcy and memory loss track .. the focus shifted back to the leads of the show -- Maaneet -- just like the viewers wanted.We cannot wait to see what's next in store in their lives! :D
Oh and one major complaint that every viewer is having -- WHY OH WHY are the side characters like Nandini / Lucky / even MAMAJI getting makeovers and not our precious Maaneet? What did they do wrong? Geet has been wearing these frocks for so long and they've become repetitive and boring. Drashti is such a gorgeous lady .. treat her well by pampering her with nice designer clothes like every other girl in every other serial gets to. She's wearing the same five outfits .. her hair is messy .. and those dupattas are freakishly large. I wonder how DD doesn't complain! I'm sweating just looking at her! She doesn't look like a rich man's wife :( Please tell the wardrobe department to look into this and invest in her clothes more than Nandini. Nandini gets a makeover and gets nice clothes and our very own Geet is given this type of treatment why? :(
And Maan. UFF could his clothes get any tighter? The poor man is walking around in such tight pants.. does he not complain? We feel uncomfortable looking at him on screen like that so please loosen those pants :) Let him breathe :) And we would love to see him in more casuals .. and even in business suits other than the ones he's been wearing all this time. Experiement with these two because they are so gorgeous.. we want them to look dashing and beautiful everytime they come on screen! :D
Please please pretty please let them change their wardrobe now.. it's high time :D!
