Part 18

Arohi had made a couple of friends during past week at the workshop. Today there was a lecture on what activities the teachers can make the kids do in the schools and how it can help them express their moods. Some of them were as simple as coloring a pattern and some were as deep as drawing a past present and future self portrait depending on events happened and events foreseen or like drawing the portrait of a person that influences the most etc. They were asked to try out the first three activities in the list as an example.

The first one was very simple , filling out a heart shape with colors suiting the emotions of the heart. It was fun doing it. Second too was simple using color patches and blocks to finish into a collage. Arohi felt like a kid herself. The third one was to draw a portrait of a person who influenced them the most, while music played in the background, it depended on who crossed their minds during that time. When arohi started she was startled that she had started to draw a picture of arjun that was rooted in the mind, she could not stop and when she was done the portrait resembled much like arjun with the intense eyes she had always felt pierced through her. When they were done they were supposed to analyze their own work. And the lady next to arohi who had been a good friend by now exclaimed, 'that is one good looking gentleman, who is he?' then she took the other two papers arohi had painted in and said 'you painted blue shades in a heart ? that is interesting' not believing her own work arohi took it and saw that in both the other activities she had used bright colours and most importantly various shades of blue, the very color she avoided and had not liked much till now , the very color that was arjun's favorite, the very colour that he had asked if she would wear. She felt a rush of emotions sweep through her, with tears of happiness forming in the eyes, she placed the papers carefully back on the table and looked at her portrait of him with a smile, as one tear dropped on his portrait on his eye. She laughed now when she wiped the drop. It still made a water impression on the paper. She was love struck. A wave of love had hit her and she realized it in the form of disclosing emotions through the colors of mind. She just wanted to leave, she wanted to go to him and hold him and tell him she loves him too. How would it feel? How will he react? She saw arjun everywhere.

She wanted to call him and dialed his number, but when she heard his 'hello' she was tounge tied again, a choked voice wont be a good idea to say ILU and that too over phone 'arohi?' he said again 'yeah arjun it is me, oh just wanted to call raashi and called you by mistake' she said gathering her words 'so what, you can talk to me too , how is it going?' '' arjun I will talk to you soon' she said as she ended the call, he smiled as he hung up too. She was more excited now, that too after hearing his voice. Rest of the day was like a never ending melodious song.

Raashi came to pick her up and arohi felt sudden sadness, why did not arjun come, when they reached home she could not find arjun, he was not back yet, and he had called raashi he will be late and will have dinner at office. Arohi felt like crying. The day she wants to tell him how much he means to her, he is not near her. she had carefully wrapped her work from earlier and put them in the wardrobe, for her they were very precious and fragile. She was hardly listening to raashi's talks, she was saying how Natasha had come back and suddenly mrs. Mittal is also back from her tour few days back and is trying to talk to her too much . Arohi was nodding for everything. After dinner Raashi had to take jignesh's call and she excused herself upstairs saying good night to arohi.

Arjun was not back yet. Arohi went to the door twice when she thought she heard some noise. It was noone. She was disappointed, it was late and he had not called also. She walked restlessly towards her room and saw the roses still fresh standing on the table that had pictures of the family. She remembered his line 'keep them close you will remember me' . She stopped and picked them up. She did not hear the soft click of the main door. Caressing the roses once and smelling them she gently kissed them and put them back, while doing that she knocked off a show piece, she picked it up and when she kept it back on the table she saw arjun's solo picture in a frame. He had the same charming smile. She picked up the frame and brought it closer, she let her other hand slide on his face slowly , she smiled at her own act and was about to put it back when she heard a whisper next to her ears, 'like what you see?'. She was too startled to move and almost left the frame down, he put both his arms from behind and held the frame so it did not fall down.

She could feel him close behind her back and her breathing changed from mild to fast, dhak dhak. He effortlessly put the frame back on the table and holding her hands and crossing them with his, pulled her slowly back so she rested against him. Arohi closed her eyes when she felt him kiss on the side, on her hair. He could feel her shiver against him and slowly turned her around . 'I love you ' he said resting his hand on her waist. 'me too' she whispered as a tear flowed from her eyes. He took her even more close now. He bent down to wipe off those tears with his lips, She pulled back at this sensitive touch, he wouldnot let her go. He held her more tight. 'I wont leave you now' he said still as a whisper, and kissed her cheek lightly. It was firm and soft and he lingered the kiss a second more before moving to her other cheek. This action made her hands move from his chest to his back holding him very lightly, she was too shy to touch him properly. He was hardly thinking, all he knew was his love was in his arms and he tightened those arms around her taking her in a hug. Now arohi was forced to hold him and she too tightened her grip around him. She looked at him and tried to say something. He ran his thumb along her lips and she brought her hand to stop him. He made her hand rest on his arm and holding the back of her head slowly brought his lips on hers. She had no time to oppose and once they touched she had no will to oppose.

It was beyond her imagination and she could feel the intensity of his love in the soft kiss that turned wilder. Still kissing he moved her more close holding her waist. Arohi was completely taken by that. He was not even stopping to breathe and she did not mind either. He had now tilted her head a little so he can accommodate a better kiss. It had been 5 long minutes and they weren't done. Finally arohi slowly came back to her senses, this reaction of his had bowled her over and taken off her sanity completely. She rested her head on his chest, while he walked them to the couch.

He held her in his arms and kissed her cheeks again. She was like that red rose, delicate and red all over her face. 'isnt it an awesome feeling, to be in love' he asked her, she did not have to answer that, it was the same what he was feeling. 'I am so happy today' he said trying to hold her again, 'me too' 'is me too your favourite line of today?' 'yes' 'okay, I want to make out again' 'me t... yooou , you have no shame' 'nope I don't and I expect not to have any, especially when I am with you' 'I am sorry to say , I wont allow it' she got up to move away 'make me stop' he caught her and brought her back to the couch and holding her face 'your lips are like those rose petals' it was the same line he had said earlier, that time she had felt dizzy this time too it was the same with increased effect. She thought she cannot handle it anymore, the more she is in his presence the more he will make her loose control. She forcefully got up 'good night arjun' she said pleading him to let go. He found her cute, he picked her up to her room and put her down inside near the door, 'okay, I will bear with this heartache till tomorrow'. He tried to plant a goodnight kiss on her lips, she quickly kissed his forehead and pushed his head back to close the door. 'haaayeee' he held a hand on his heart and leaned on the closed door. 'is it final good night?' 'yes it is' 'are you sure' 'yes' 'don't you want any water or drink' 'no' . he had no choice but to go up to sleep. Both were in dreamland , awake and asleep.
