promo mein missed out on one word, it is the voice of a lady that too not a pleasant lady I need her so I can put forth another important point about a genuine/common emotional trauma a family will undergo when a special kid is there which is the main point I wanted to tell when I started the ff . I said in the beginning the ff will have only 2-3 parts since I just wanted to focus on it, but while writing it got beyond 2-3 parts and that point will come towards the end like it was initially supposed to be, wait karna padega I cannot write about it now itself. but the voice had to be mentioned since arohi will encounter her soon.

Part 17.

When they got into the car, still arohi was struggling to get her answer out, she was not able to say anything. Arjun deciding to give some time to her, started driving silently. Whatever he wanted to say , the song playing the car was saying to her 'in dino dil mera , mujhse hai keh raha, tuuu khwaab sajaa, tuuu jee le Zara, hai tujhe bhi izazat, karle tu bhi mohabbat ''' as the song progressed arjun and arohi's silence was speaking volumes. "Berang si hai badi zindagi kuch rang to bharu, main apni tanhaayi ke vaaste ab kuch toh karu..'" He looked at her on this line, and saw her wiping off a tear from the corner of her eyes. she remembered his line from last night, wanting to spray colours on her when she wears white like on a canvas, she never felt her life was empty or colourless till recently, she was happy the way she was in her small world, but lately she wants something more, feels something is missing, were his words her thoughts too?, she who used to like blue doesnot like it now since her mom wore blue when she died, she likes white since she finds peace in it, was she forcefuly disliking things she liked before, is it time to change her priorities and choices, why did bua always wanted her to have a companion. 'arohi don't take too much stress over this' he said, she looked at him teary eyed and smiled. 'I mean it, don't stress over it, I was kidding that I cannot wait, truth is I can wait as long as you want, or if you don't want to say anything on this, it is fine' he said in a resigned tone. He switched the song off. She felt bad that she was the reason for his mood change.

She looked at the roses and smelled them, 'they are really beautiful , thank you' she said. With eyes freshly washed with tears and face as fresh as the roses , arjun could not take his eyes off. Her action gave him a positive vibe and suddenly he felt charged. He whistled 'my selection is always beautiful' he said raising his collar, she laughed loudly now seeing him back in jovial mood made her happy, the anklets still on her foot made a sweet sound when she moved them. 'I like that sound' he said 'of your anklets '. ' he I faintly remembered hearing that sound last night , he tried to remember hard, when the party was over she was taking him down and there was this rhythmic sound when she took the steps down. And then she took him in, and then what happened. Somehow he knew he said things and even arohi confirmed it earlier, he put all concentration to remember. Faintly now he could see what he said, he had cornered her , he had talked to her about his feelings , omg he thot, he had already almost told her last night? And still she came out when he asked her to, she wanted to talk too and she could have easily told whatever she wanted to in their house itself. Instead she had come with him , accepted the roses and denied that he had said anything before. He forgot where he was and suddenly applied the brakes. 'what happened' she asked about to fall fwd. 'nothing' he said 'did I say something about your eyes yesterday?' she immediately turned her blushed face away 'no' 'no?' 'no' 'hmmm' he started driving again. Arohi cursed herself for not able to be point blank in this issue, looks like he knew she knew already.

He was now sure that he had talked to her about how he felt, it was slowly coming back, not clearly though. He remembered he had gone pretty close to her too. By the time they reached home, he had a naughty smile playing on his lips, for him her reaction meant only one thing and he will make her say it. 'you knew it already , didn't you?' he asked her stopping the car, she did not reply, she was not ready with any answer she did not know what to say. She quickly got out and almost ran up the stairs holding the roses. He picked up her bag 'wait.' He said and abt to follow her. he stopped to pick up the bag that fell, by then arohi had gone quite far.

She almost made it to first floor and had to face mrs. Mittal coming out of their door, she gave a curious look to arohi who was holding the roses. She quickly put them behind her back and said a feeble hello to her. Just then she heard the voice of a lady coming from inside 'who is it payal didi?' mrs. Mittal replied 'it's nobody' , arohi thought she had heard that voice before faintly somewhere, it had that grumpy tone to it. She heard arjun's footsteps on the stairs and resumed her flight. Arjun too crossed payal mittal with aro's workshop bag in hand, and raised a 'what's up?' brow to her and leaped up. Mrs. Mittal was green with envy. The Arjun she knew was not like this. If only Rudra and Kumud did not leave the city and stayed here, she could have made Natasha play her charms on them and made them make her their daughter in law and then she would have been lived in peace. Now this girl from nowhere has made arjun dance to her tunes. She has to talk to Kumud before it is too late. She went inside with the same jealous mood.

By the time she reached up arjun caught up with her at the same time. 'wait'. She immediately unlocked the door and went in. Raashi was already home. Arohi was relieved. Arjun followed her and kept her bag on the bfst bar and coughed loudly making arohi see him. He made his index finger move meaning he will make her talk She pretended to ignore him and seeing raashi not in such good mood , talked to her.

Raashi's MIL was doing little better , but raashi had to face some of her father in laws brunt that her family had taken jignesh a hostage, he had to take permission from rudra to come meet his own mother, he had blowed it out of proportion, he was frustrated that his son preferred to stay with raashi's family and he took it out on her. He told if she really cared she would stay back and help them. Raashi had requested two days time, she too was a sensitive girl and could not bear the allegation that she did not care, the troubled time seemed to have made the father in law forget how much involved she had been until jignesh too decided to stay with rudra's firms and stay where rudra's main operation was. If she explained it would look like she was defending her family and herself. She told arohi she will have to go back again and this time may have to stay longer and will come directly to their town with jignesh. She made arohi promise she wont leave because of this, or else she wont go at all. Arohi couldnot possibly say anything now, earlier she was okay with arjun, and now this arjun suddenly from the minute earlier seemed different, he looked mischievous, she gulped. But if she told raashi not to go or if she wanted to leave then raashi will have to face more taane baaane from her sasur, that is not what arohi wanted. She told she will be fine. She had that much faith in arjun to stay alone with him again. 'when do you leave?' she asked raashi, 'after 2 more days'.

She comforted raashi, made her daily call to guddi. she was not upset and guilty like she used to get. Even bua had said her voice was cheerful than before. Raashi then noticed the roses, and gave a queried look to her. Avoiding raashi's smiling face she put them in the vase and kept them on the table just outside her room. If she took it in, it would be obvious. She took one rose with her though.

Arjun came down, he was completely charged , elated , excited. The guilty feeling he had till now that he might have misbehaved or troubled arohi when drunk had vanished and a naughty feeling had creeped in. Her actions from the evening made him more confident. After all what is there not to like in him, patting his own back he walked to where both girls were sitting. Arohi who had not felt awkward even when he said ILU was feeling the opposite. Raashi was oblivious to this, soothing her headache by closing her eyes. He told her to go sleep and not worry so much abt stuff that can be sorted out easily hinting the same to arohi too.

When raashi went upstairs, he sat there with his laptop on the couch. Aro wanted to go in, that is when he blocked her way to her room. 'so?' 'arjun please move' 'I wont until you accept it' 'accept what' 'that you too like me' 'no' 'then accept that you don't like me' she was quiet , 'I said earlier that I can wait for your answer, well I take that back ... because I already know your answer' he smiled not letting her go in 'you like me and still you don't want to say?' 'no, I mean I don't like'.' 'jhooot' 'huh?' 'if you say you don't like me , it will be a lie' 'I don't lie' 'then don't, say the truth' 'truth is'' if only she knew what the truth was or if she had the courage to say the truth. 'truth is?'. He took her hands into his 'say it, why do you hesitate' 'I don't myself know it arjun' she said finally, that was the closest she had answered on this issue. 'I think you do, you just don't want to acknowledge it' 'you know arohi, when I said what I wanted to say to you, how relieved I was, it is an awesome feeling, I want you to go through it too'. 'between, whatever I might have said last night, was all true and I dont regret saying it' he said with the same husky tone as yday. Her cheeks turned warm and pink. He put his index finger on her cheek slightly touching it 'and there it is again' he said looking at her. she pushed him aside hiding her smile and quickly went in closing the door. 'no more escaping from me or my thoughts now' he said as a loving warning and with a singing and dancing heart went upstairs humming 'you are beautiful , you are beautiful , it's true'. Arohi took the single rose and turned it around with her fingers, lying on the bed, still struggling to get her answer out, she knew she liked whatever arjun said and did and still she was not able to label her feelings. She found out her answer the next day in the workshop.
