Hello guys. I hope this is the third update for this week. I will try to be regular in my updates. Those who need pm please add "appyshenoy" to the buddy list.

DOSTI K LIYE

Part 10

The bright sun glowed inside the room. Geet entered maan's room with a coffee. She moved towards him. " hi maanu wake up' "

"geet don't call me like that. Leave me. Let me sleep for a while" geet was in no mood to give up. It was already 8'o'clock. He had to take his medicines too.

"ok then " she took the coffee cup in her hand. She tiotoed towards his feet. She silently placed the hot cup on his feet. She made sure it won't hurt him. He woke up with a jerk.

"geeet" he was furious.

" accha baba gussa chodo aur coffee pelo." She brought the coffee cup before him. He silently gulped down the coffee.

"geet I have decided something" she silently listened to what he is going to say. She is ready to accept whatever his decision was.

"you are listening me right?? " she nodded her head to indicate yes.

" I can understand a bit whats going around us. we should definitely take adecision. I know dev cheated you. This oesn't mean you should just sit and think about him throughtout the life. You have to move on your life too. I know it needs time. I know we have never seen each other as lovers. Our friendship was above all that. I think we can give a chance to our relationship. May be time may change everything. I think you won't misunderstand me. I don't know why I just feel an emptiness now. May be you can make my life complete. Though it will be hard for both of us, I know my dadi and your parents already have a high hope on us. I don't want to break their trust." Maan constantly looked at her to read her eyes.

" but maan, I can't bother you. You helped me a lot. I have just ruined everything believing gin that dev. For that how can I marry you??? You haven't made any mistake to marry me. The only mistake you made was helping me to escape on my marriage day. It lead to all misunderstandings"

"who said I am marrying you out of compulsion. Geet you are always my best friend. I just felt that you understand me better than anyone. You can be the best life partner for me??? Geet I know everything takes time."

" okay maan. as you said lets give a chance. If I felt that I could move on . I would marry you. But maan I have a request. I think we should say the entire truth to dadi"

"but geet"

"no buts. You know she truss me a lot. I don't want to say the truth to everyone. But dadi she has the right to know the truth. I will definitely accept her decision"

"ok geet, if you want to speak to dadi, its fine then. I hope she understands."

Maan rose from bed. He decided to freshen up. Geet helped him to get up. Then all gathered in the breakfast table. Everyone waited for maan and geet. Then all their eyes went in the direction of the stairs. Maaan's hand was resting on geet's shoulder. She was carefully holding his hand so that he will not fall.

"savithriji, I know we can't choose a better partner to geeet than maan. i think we can keep their marriage once maan recovers fully" darji had a huge smile on his face.

" haan geet ki darji, I have talked to pandit he told to keep the mattiage after three months." By now geet and maan reached the table. They heard dadi's words they were more than happy because they will take a decision by then.

"savithriji, I am so happy. I think we should leave to hoshiarpur now. We will take geet also with us." maan and geet were shoched.

" nahi ji," savithri understood maans uncomfortableness from his face " I want geet to stay here. I will take care of her. If geet is there it will be a moral support to maan. she would help me in office too. Before marriage I will teach her to manage office too" darji couldn't refuse savithri devi's request. He accepted atlast.

In the evening

Geet entered her mothers room . she saw her packing her bags. She was in a hurry. Everyone was waiting for her downstairs. They have toleave from there in half an hour to catch the train.

"geet tum yahan.. you come and sit here beta. I want to say a few things to you."geet silently followed her mother's words.

"geet I don't know why you fought on that day for a simple thing" geet opened her mouth to explain. But her mother interrupted.

"I just want to say you certain things before I leave. This marriage means a lot for our family's respect and honour. You should learn to adjust to your sasural. Maan ek acche ladka hai. I don't want you to hurt him in any manner. We wouldn't have choosen a nice boy on our own. We appreciate your choice. I hope you understand beta??" tears formed in her eyes. Geet simply nodded her head. Her mother gave a hug to her. Then they went downstairs. Everyone left bidding good bye to maan and geet.

At night

Everyone sat for dinner. Geet frequently looked at maan to start. Annie went to party. "maan bete, you want to talk about something to me. After dinner, come to the garded where we have arranged tables."

"ok dadima we need to talk on something important." Dadima completed her dinner and went to have her medicines. Geet squezzed maan's hand assuring him that everything will be fine. "maan I have made a lot of mistakes. Ab nahi, we should say the truth to her. "

Dadima was present before them reading some papers. "maan bete yahan beitieye na???" she indicated to sit beside him. Geet sat next to him. Hse was the first to start " dadima we thought its important for you know all these things. Sorry for hiding these things to you. Now time had come. Please don't stress yourself"

"geet beta?? kya bath hai?? Why you are looking so tensed.????"she couldn't make head or tail of what they are going to say. Maan " don't be afraid dadi, just listen to me completely." He explained her about how she misunderstood when he brought geet to the house and how dev cheated geet. Dadim was patient all the while. She didn't interrupt. "so you guys are going to break up??? Maan bete,,,,,,",

" dadima nai, actually me and geet has never felt love between us. we have never seen each other in that way. But I don't know why!! We will lke giving this relationship a chance. We know it takes time. Before anything geet want to say the whole truth to you??" dadi immediately called geet to come near her. She hugged her.

"maan bete, i love geet a lot. I am so happy that you told the truth. I will be so contented to get geet as my bahu. Okay'geet bete, I know what you are going through. But you should move on??? I don't know why dev did such a thing to you.. if he can live without , you should pove that you can too. As far as I know you people understand each other better."

"I too feel the same dadi ma. I am ready to marry her. But gives us a little time dadima. " maan knew that geet needs a little time to adjust.

" theek hai beta. you have still 3 months time for your wedding. Tell me your decision before that? I won't do anything against your wish?? Whatever might be your decision I will support you always.." maan too hugged his dadima. That day was like heaven for geet. She felt like she has removed the burden she was carrying all these days. A tear escaped her eyes.
