Delhi Belly' may be talked about for various reasons, including the colorful language used by the characters in this film, but television viewers will see a diluted version of the film, when it premieres on TV in the near future. In fact, the actors of the film, including the principal cast, have already dubbed their lines for the TV version of the film.
"That's true. You can keep a check on audiences when they visit theatres. But can you hold back kids from watching a film when it's aired on TV? That's why we decided to go easy on the dialogue of the film and get them dubbed all over again," said 'Delhi Belly' director Abhinay Deo.
Incidentally, not many are aware that Aamir was keen on dubbing this Hinglish film in four Indian languages -- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bhojpuri. While the film was dubbed in Hindi, the plans to dub in Tamil and Telugu were aborted subsequently, since Aamir's friends associated with the South industry informed him that the Hinglish version would suffice. "But the plans of not dubbing the film in Bhojpuri remains a mystery," said Abhinay Deo.

Aamir to make cuss-free 'Delhi Belly' for small screen!
After raking huge moolah at Box Office, Aamir Khan's adult comedy is all set to make its debut on small screen but not before tweaking its latest youth anthem 'Bhaag DK Bose.'Apparently, 'Delhi Belly' will be mellowed down to suit the national television. Talking to a daily, director Abhinay Deo said, "Besides redubbing a lot of parts, we are also rewriting certain sequences and jokes from the original. There's a considerable amount of work. It feels like I'm making it all over again."
It is believed that Aamir has instructed Abhinay to rework 'Delhi Belly' and cut down its brazen and irreverent avatar sans any abuses, even as it will retain its funniness.
When enquired, Aamir confirmed the news and said, "Akshat (Verma) and Abhinay have rewritten the dialogues of 'Delhi Belly's' fresh version and the humour is working extremely well. I'm sure it will bring in the new audiences for the film."
Meanwhile, Abhinay is visibly excited about 'Delhi Belly's' TV debut as he said, "It will have its own charm. Even if we are changing the jokes, new jokes will have their own appeal and standing. And I'm sure the difference – for those who have seen the original – will be welcomed."
Amusingly, Imran Khan, Kunal Roy Kapoor and Vir Das use colourful language in 'Delhi Belly' and have to re-dub their parts.
"A lot of work is still left. But I think we should be ready by mid-next month," added Abhinay.
