I'm going to make an 'R' post today - and the title falls in line with the same (: [Secret confession: I've always had a thing for alliteration 😆 ] I personally think that the rift between these two leads has finally found the first hint of a cue to its rosy one way. Hence, a rosy rift!

Raven Reflections

The opening scene, was a the making of reflections.
For the first time, Kesar looked into a mirror (read: Talli) and saw the reflection of another (read: Gulaal). As was concluded by the snippet of beginning to this scene in the Friday finale, Talli did manage to work her wand with reverse therapy. He'd been told before to try and step into Gulaal's shoes and see what he was doing to her, how wrong his means were and how unaccomplished his ends would always be, no matter how long he persisted. But for the first time, courtesy Talli, Kesar really did know Gulaal's heart. He'd been closing in on the truth - especially from the time of his monologue with God - but he'd still been far from clinching the point. Gulaal had told him that she could be his wife for the world and for show - but in her heart and mind she would never be - and today he realized exactly what about those claims he could not change. We all like to believe, what Kesar liked to believe as well - that there would be a point she would step out of her dark colorless past into a welcoming warm future. In a way, Kesar still believes it, but he has come to realize that the distance stands between them, renting them asunder, is in fact the distance between her own real person from the past, and the ghost of it which lives in the present. He has realized that the agenda here, foremost at least, is not to show her who he is, but to make her see who she is, or was, or has ceased to be. In an interesting chronology of events, Talli shows Kesar a reflection of himself; and Kesar bids to show Gulaal a reflection of her.

Rainy Revelations:

This is all about Kesar's character growth. In the span of a single dark revelation, Kesar begins to see everything in a brand new light. [On a completely unrelated side note, what part of the desert Rajasthan is this show based in? By my average knowledge meter, it seems to rain a little too much, too frequently 😆 ] Anyway. Kesar has grown up with the dawning of that one realization - that Gulaal's heart can never accept him. Yes, I believe at this point, he truly believes as much. His consequent actions - telling Gulaal that this is not about him and her, or their relation, but simply about the apraadh she is committing against the woman inside her emphasizes as much... that even as Kesar resigns to admitting his love shall remain unrequited, he wants direly to see her happy. It was an ironic double angled nuance to Kesar's character - this side of him she could no longer shun because he had finally quit clinging. He begun with telling her it wasn't about them, or him, and she couldn't counter that start. Then he told her he wouldn't leave without saying his bit, that she would have to listen, and I'm happiest of all that he got the last word telling her not to threaten him - it could almost be completed to, You can't threaten me now, I finally know there's nothing more to lose!... He proves that beyond all his seemingly selfish ways, is the sole desire to protect her, and revive in her the person he once knew. He is broken finally coming to believe that he can never be the one to bring that happiness back in her life - but he still wants her to seek it all over again, to find the Gulaal she lost along the way. In accordance with the same, he is willing to give her up, and set her free - but not before he has given her food for thought that can set her off on the path to self discovery. In that one scene (which as many others on the forum mentioned was also extremely well filmed and edited) Kesar grows to new heights of mature, selfless love. I had wondered in my post on Friday (and even Thursday) of how Gulaal would realize when Kesar lets her go that she has no clue of what next in her life. In his own way, Kesar assures he has given her a goal - because doubtlessly, if the deeyarvattu was to have been revoked, Gulaal's thinking cells would have returned to his words, sooner than later. I'm not sure if its not going to be later than sooner now, but that's another thing.

Relinquished Relation

In completion of what he deems best, and right, after his night of greatest revelation, thus far, Kesar publicly seeks to relinquish his official 'relation' with Gulaal. He cannot stop loving her, and he neither claims nor bids to relinquish on the 'emotion' that ties him to her; but he figures the situation is not vice versa, much less willingly. Consequently he concludes that the only thing tying her to him now is plainly his 'zidd' and her 'majburi'. And so in word, he sets her free. On this note, I thought it was very interesting (and hopefully worthy of observation) that Gulaal when asked about her wish, says that she would never accept him as a husband. That the deeyarvattu would best be broken. She doesn't say she would never accept Kesar. She says nothing about his love. She just cannot relinquish her relationship with her late husband and give Kesar that place. I'm not trying to accuse Gulaal of hidden meanings here - I'm only saying that in my opinion, these words will be revisited. Because inadvertently, and unassumingly, they do hold double meaning. Btw, Kesar's reaction to her confirmation, that she can never take him to be her husband, was a spitting image of Talli, when he tells her over and over, how much he loves Gulaal. An irony that spins around the fates of this trio.

Rescue Rejection

Of course, in the prime event of the episode (although I still deem the conversation between GK preceding this as the prime 'consequential' event today) Dushyant comes to rescue, and rejects the appeal from GK. Not unforeseen, because many of us on the forum were predicting an uphold on this verdict, this way or that. I'm glad Dushyant specifies that they must 'live together' and not 'exist together'. I could also barely keep myself from dissolving inside of the screen to give him a thumping pat for saying that both Kesar and Gulaal were dishonoring a grave and solemn custom like deeyarvattu. In fact between this scene of Panchayat's decision, and that of Kesar's candid berating of Gulaal's self-destructive ways - I have to rate this episode as one of the most powerfully written episodes, yet! I'm always in awe of how precise, and wholesome the dialog writing of this show is - how no character beats around the bush, and a point to be made, is always made. I felt more than a little pity for Dushyant's paradox much existence, as a member of the family affected, and as the adjudicating Sarpanch - because while one reproached GK to mock the sanctity of a custom, the other verbally approved of Kesar's decision. With a turban he tells them to think it over, and not make a game of the ritual; without the turban he admits there is nothing to think over, and that separation for GK is the right call. Given even the difference of his position while making those opinions, I wonder if Dushyant (neither Sarpanch nor a family member but just a third person) deems either of them fully right. Anyway. Gulaal was in for more than a single surprise - with Kesar announcing his brand new wish (or wish not, well!) and Dushyant turning down her big chance to escape - after apologizing to her for having done it once!

Redeeming 'Refresh'!

I like to think of today as synonymous to the pressing of 'refresh' key on a web page. The groundwork of the website remains the same, it's only a brand new attempt! Between the the two of them, both Gulaal and Kesar have had more than their fair share of mistakes. Each has wronged the other - but worse, with each wrong, they have affected the lives of many around. While Kesar today took his greatest first leap on the path to redemption - we're yet to see how Gulaal will follow the cue. I thought it was a good projection on the CVs part, the way both GK rushed to MB and sat on either side of him. As people on this forum had predicted, these two have inevitably (and against their own will atm) landed on the same side, and will end up soon enough in the same team. They have not only their personal demons to fight, a mutual gap to bridge, but will soon enough be burdened with a task of greater good - of bringing back together a family and home that has been rent farthest apart ever, in the wake of their whims and fancies. Redemption much, and about time.

Notes:
Personally I think Gulaal was still doing what she has done best for quite a while now - trying to pry away Kesar and his questions and dig herself that hole where she hides her ostrich head. I've said more than a few times, how I did not wish to see GK get back, only when Kesar the knight came to the rescue of Gulaal the distressed damsel. I'm very satisfied, between the confronting and thought provoking matter Kesar dishes out to Gulaal, and his voluntary initiation of setting her free - to know that now, whenever he does side up with her in the biggest showdown over Vasant's murder mystery, she will be forced to see how he is not doing as much to score on her and gain her love... how his shield for her in the way of any harm is irrespective and independent of whether or not she loves him back like him, or never/ever can. I was truly hoping for a turn of events that it would be this way, and it makes me happy to see it unfolding hence. Also, on that note, MB's quietening of Gulaal, and his evident displeasure at that I suppose is only the beginning of opposition and lack of understanding that Gulaal will be meted out with, in the coming days. Not all undeserved either, come to think of it. With the way this stage has now been set - Kesar freed of his 'still a child' stigma, and Gulaal only further stuck into the mire she has willingly accepted to be sucked in by - I think the whole murder mystery unfolding will be very exciting to watch. Perhaps I'm going to be the only saying this (like I was at one point last week) but I'm doubtful of Talli messing again. When she tells Kesar in the precap that by setting Gulaal free, he has opened the path to getting her back again - it worried me very much, as a philosophy coming from Talli! 😳 But perhaps that's just me. As for the rest, I want to see how they work out the room arrangement now, these two; I really want to see this newly acquired maturity in Kesar evolve, I want to see the last of the awkwardness he holds around Gulaal which is purely guilt ridden, and I wont mind seeing the same adding up to Gulaal's own dilemma and predicament of (wrong) choices, (prejudiced) conclusions, (make believe) accusations. I suppose the side of Kesar we wanted to Gulaal to see starting last week, when she was forced to come back home, shall begin here on. At least, try as she might, she can no longer hate his guts. And she can certainly not pretend to push him away with her you're forcing me to be your wife defense.

Phew - long post! And a delayed one, than usual - but tonight could not be given a pass! 😳

Oh did I forget to say my usual? I love these CVs. The drama in this show never ends! 😆

Hey JZee, well said - we both are on the same lines as always lol
Firsly i like your R syndrome lol
You know KG love to show each other mirrors - last week on monday it was Gulaal and today Monday its Kesar...
I wont say much on the bedroom convo, coz its been said its an powerful scene, that said alot, held alot not just for Gulaal but i guess for women in general - and its only Kesar who can give her this reality in a way, and Kesar does affect her, even if she doesnt outrightly emotes it like Kesar does, its there - but she has been putting a wall against it ever since she has come back, and i agree with JZee that like you i also wanted to see KG come together in a way like they have together, then the kinght and damsel thing you said (honestly even though i discussed that in your thread last week, i knew somewhere along the line more will happen to get KG back in track, back in balance, without being that knight/damsel thing)
At last, its been so long - i missed this Kesar the mature Kesar i know, the depthful Kesar, the Kesar who has growth to be so much more, and those eyes of Kesar that held sense, and pain, whilst the last two weeks its been zidd and hurt
Love is selfless, love has no conditions, love isnt about a person being near or far - Kesar today in his own way made this come alight well to me it did, his love in his own way was selfless before - but his zidd overshadowed that...
You know this murder mystery thing, i think (or might) what is gonna come first is - and which i forgot to write in my post (funny thing is i remembered when i was writing the post, but forgot to put it down lol) what Raman says today... that Gulaal herself chose Kesar in the deeyarvatu, it was her choice... and maybe just maybe the deeyarvatu truth will come out, coz no one knows why exactly Gulaal choice Kesar in a way (one of her main reasons was not to be away from D but yes he was involved) and MB to this day doesnt even know the truth nor does Kesar fully or other members, the whole truth Gulaal knows, and also some things Gulaal has told Revji baapji, why this DV took place, and D loving her, and what they were all doing to Kesar back then etc
JK is the one who forced this deeyarvatu on her in front of everyone with the evil gang of R, S, D, JK looking on and in it
Yes, even i see that Gulaal's one notion has been, for years is that she doesnt see Kesar as her pati, will not give him that place and even now, coz thats Vasant's (because she believed she would live like this and carry on like Vasant's widow and so on), but as you said it doesnt mean she cant accept Kesar as HER Kesar (all the things Kesar mentioned in their convo earlier has to play a part here somehow), the one who has always been hers and so on... each other's support, each other's kavach, each other's world... even now i havent heard Gulaal say she will not get any feelings for him, or she will love him how he does to her... its always been i wont give you that place of a hubby...
Bedroom convo and DV talks, have to inter-link somehow... its Gulaal's joruney i see somewhat here, esp if this is the foundation they are setting in place right now...
Another thing is as most mentioned the camera angle showed up on the same single shot for a few times, esp in the DV and the coming together in the house and towards MB - to me it hints that hopefully we will see this togetherness, even though they are near yet so distant
As for MB, alot of decision esp the DV and back then, those decisions where taken without him, which he has always not liked esp why she had to do the deeyarvatu, when she could of stayed in the house as Vasant's widow, these things MB doesnt know fully why, thats why i connected the scene with what Raman said and maybe that truth will be out, and also if MB has a thinking cap on, then i am wondering whether he will come with the conclusion on why Gulaal choice Kesar, when D was there as he was older and single

Awesome use of alliteration, Jzee...You must be a literature student...lol

Ahhh where do I begin about today's epi...you've said it all...all the turning points, the significant moments in the epi...there was just so much today that I feel like I need to rewatch it a few times to truly get a full sense...lol

The Kesar-Gulaal night scene was obviously the highlight as everyone's mentioned in other posts too...what really struck me about this scene was how it surprised me...given all that we'd seen of Kesar's largely ziddy and many times childish behavior over the past 2 weeks, I was expecting something similar or maybe some kind of admission of defeat based on what we'd seen of the precap from last week but boy was I surprised and in such an AWESOME way...haha...the writing in this show once again proving that there is a reason why we've come to expect quality from the writers...anyways getting back to the scene...I'd thought there would be some admission of guilt, regret...etc...but no, instead even after all that Talli said to Kesar to make him realize that his methods were wrong in a sense...even after all that he went and said THIS to Gulaal...which proved his evolution as a character, as a mature man! Every single point was SO awesome and there were just SO many nuances in that scene that it's hard to really get down to cataloguing them...dialogues were superb! The back and forth...Kesar's PERCEPTIVENESS...Gulaal can deny this till kingdom come but the way KESAR knows her, NO ONE does...he KNOWS what she's hiding behind...I especially loved his point that it's not a matter of PRIDE that she's a widow...she seems to wear it as if it's some kind of badge of honor...he so shattered that illusion of hers...she's marked herself as some kind of mahaan martyr over this...second awesome point...that would she expect VASANT to spend the rest of his life crying in front of her portrait like this?? The fact that she's killed the WOMAN inside her...REFUSING to allow that woman to even SMILE...to laugh...to LIVE...as if it's a SIN to do any of these things...and for a change he threw Gulaal off-balance...especially with the APRADH line...

I could go on and on about this scene...lol...Neil was awesome in this scene...so was Manasi...but I think Neil stole the show in this one...oh and I have to say I LOVED the end...when Gulaal says, "bas kar nahin toh..." and Kesar interrupts explosively..."nahin toh KYA?"...Man, the emotion in his eyes...the voice modulation...superb! And I love his "dhamki dene ki koi zaroorat nahin hai" line...LOLLL

Now coming to the rest of the epi...significant moments...

I loved the way the panchayat scene was handled...once again the sanctity of the system maintained...all that Dushyant said was so valid...that both K and G had made a joke out of this system as well as their deeyarvattu...and I loved his ruling...first PROVE that THIS time your decision is FINAL...given that both of them have previously demonstrated evidence of going back and forth on this issue...ANYONE will ask...can we REALLY trust your decision at THIS point? Do you REALLY know what you WANT? Your deeyavattu is not a joke...and that is precisely why Dushyant gave them this trial period...to give them time to dwell on this relationship, their decision...

What really excites me ofcourse is that this has shifted the dynamic...NOW as they co-habit that house (or maybe that room) for 3 months, Gulaal can't have the same cold mutinous lockdown attitude towards Kesar...yes she won't mellow overnight but a MAJOR wall DID come down...it was evident throughout the rest of the epi...first their shared glances during the panchayat...everything form the ruling onwards...they SHARED that shock...they SHARED that protest that was verbalized by Kesar...lol...I found it so amazing how their body language became in tune...you see it in the subtleties.

This continued on to the end scene with Motabha...the camera angles are highlighting this too as Lennie pointed out above...putting them both in the same frame...the way they look at each other now...especially the ending shot...as Kesar watches Motabha walk away and turns to Gulaal with almost this 'what do we do now?' expression and for a change her eyes aren't cold...they share a long look...SOMETHING will bind them now...they are already on that path...

I'm so intrigued to see the next KG convo...lol...hopefully they get a chance to talk in tomorrow's epi.

Re: Talli...you know I have to agree with you...I can see that as of now she's all like encouraging Kesar and stuff but I feel this won't last long term...eventually they will turn her grey for sure.

Amazing analysis, Jzee! And I really did enjoy your alliterations too! 😆 I hope you don't mind me posting an analysis of sort in your thread instead of making a new one - I've just been under an absolute wave of laziness today.. 😳

The one thing that really stood out to me in the intial (two) scenes where Kesar's shown the mirror so to speak by Taali and when he later mulls over his new found clarity, is the fact that even though Kesar looked surprised, stunned, a little hurt and just on the whole exhausted, he never really did look GUILT-RIDDEN to me.. I don't know what a guilty person should look like, but I know if I look at one I'd be able to feel or just KNOW that they feel guilty.. But Kesar didn't look the part.. And I'm not saying that that's bad thing at all.. I think, in Kesar's mind he'd always wanted what was best for Gulaal - what HE thought was best for her and the happiness he thought she was standing in the way off. In fact, he was so consumed by his need to bring happiness to Gulaal k I don't think that he'd realized just how questionable (if not entirely wrong!) his methods were. And when Taali is finally able to get through to him.. When she's finally able to make him realize (in through his OWN words and sentiments) that no matter how noble his reasons, the methods that he's choosing will always stand in his way.. I think that's when he feels shocked at his own ignorance of the fact. And you can see the wheels in his head turning as he realizes the parallels between what he's said and what Gulaal meant and just how RIGHT she'd been in saying what she had. She may still be denying herself the right to be happy (more on that later) but the way he was trying to convince her otherwise was not a good approach either. And really, in that moment he just looks exhausted - like he's tried SO HARD for something, only to just now realize k his methods were off.. That he was indeed hammering the nail in the coffin himself, even though he really intended to break Gulaal free of that metaphorical coffin.. So yeah, he was sad and exhausted, but I didn't see that guilt.. And maybe that really is just me.. 😆 But to me it seemed like he had no reason to be guilty because he hadn't actually done anything INTENTIONALLY. He hadn't realized or understood just how much it would hurt her and he has really just wanted to make her happy without any selfish gain (even though he ended up seeming selfish in the process).. And now that he knows better, his intentions are still the same - he STILL just wants for her to be happy. It's just that earlier his approach was different (which he now knows to be wrong) and now his approach will be different.. You know..? *wonders if she makes any sense*

Coming to the main scene in today's episode (in my opinion.. 😳), the conversation that KG have in their room.. It starts off with that intial diya bit and I've been divided on what that little hint could mean - does it mean that Kesar is now going to be the "gust of wind" who's going to shake Gulaal out of her ignorant (and stubborn) desire to live her life SOLELY with Vasant's memories and denying herself any happiness in the process..? OR does it mean that Gulaal will now come to realize that Kesar is also just as important to her (and maybe to the same extent if not more) as Vasant was, even though she fails to recognize it at the moment..? I mean, if I had to pick between the two, I'd really go with the former - with Kesar being the mirror (as you said) that shows Gulaal the truth! 🤔

The whole scene was absolutely brilliant - the way it was shot, the lighting and camera work, the dialogues (my personal favorite!😍).. Everything was really a class act! And Kesar.. He absolutely, DEFINITELY stole the show in this scene! The way he walks in - the "thehrav" in his voice, like he was finally at peace with himself after being tormented by Gulaal's reproach for him for weeks.. And the way he silences any protests from her right from the start by clarifying that this wasn't about them - it wasn't to discuss THEIR relationship, thus leaving NO reason for Gulaal to be mutinous in her behavior or words.. He threw her off right then, because really I think she'd just expected him to show up and throw some more tantrums - you could see it in her face when she just saw him, how she was silently putting up that wall again.. But he just walks up to her and simply tells her to listen to his words with an open mind - without bias.. Which really is not something Gulaal likes to do, she does not like to be ambushed or be told what to do and how to do it.. She really does just like to be left apney haal pe, living whatever meager existence she's selected for herself (as penance or pride, I know not) without ANY interference from anyone else.. So of course, she goes ahead and tries to brush him aside (again!) but this time he is determined! He doesn't raise his voice or flails around dramatically, but he SIMPLY and FORCEFULLY tells her that he WILL have his say this time. And she WILL listen..

But really, it is when he actually starts talking - when he breaks right through her facade, right from the first word.. That she starts to realize that she cannot ignore his words by dismissive them as "childish" or "selfish".. He's seen through to her, through her own stubborn decision to put up this WALL between the girl/woman that she was and the outside world. That she CHOOSES to live her life as a skeleton of who she really used to be.. And that she feels that it's a matter of pride - that it highlights her LOVE for Vasant when really it insults the WOMAN Vasant did love to begin with! And with EVERY passing statement you can just see the restlessness (that has now gone missing from Kesar) present itself in Gulaal.. In the way she grits her teeth as she watches and hears every word out of his mouth, wide eyed and defiant! How she struggles against his claims, refusing to let the wisdom of those words seep in.. Or how she turns away from him, as if physically (and unsuccessfully) trying to prevent him from seeing through to her.. And finally, how she tries to silence him through threats - threats that she now knows hold no bearing on him because he's realized that he HAD nothing he could loose to begin with.. Gulaal had seemed so vulnerable in that scene - so bare and unprotected.. While simultaneously, Kesar has seemed so shattered FOR her - the way he beseeched her initially to realize just WHO she had been PUNISHING.. It's like he feels this immense pain for HER - for the Gulaal who has been held captive under the pretext of being a "happy widow".. by CHOICE.. *sigh* Kesar really did break all illusions about his "maturity" or "selfishness" today - if either of those were being questioned due to his methods in the past and if ever his priorities were being doubted in light of how he was behaving, then this conversation of his puts all that to REST in one swift blow. He has ALWAYS placed Gulaal's happiness above EVERYTHING else and that is ALL he has ever desired - and though his questionable methods overshadowed these intentions of his in the past, the truth that they were in fact the ONLY reasons/motivations for his actions cannot be refuted from here on out. *awed muh*

The panchayat scene was another well handled scene.. How Kesar initially (and indirectly) apologized to Gulaal for forcing her into a relationship she did not accept in his own ignorance.. And how Gulaal looks genuinely surprised/caught off guard at his decision - it's like she'd NEVER expected such maturity from him.. That she'd always dismissed everything he did as the rampant doings of a tantrum-prone child.. And with this one decision, he has reminded Gulaal that he is NOT a child and even though she chooses to ignore his comments with prejudice, it does not invalidate the LOGIC that they hold.. I really do think that she had absolutely NOT expected such a display of reason and sincerity from Kesar. But then Kesar toh aisa hi hai - he never does anything for pretense.. Jab ghussa ata hai, toh bol deta hai.. Jab bura lagta hai, toh bol deta hai.. Jab pyaar hua, tab bhi bol diya.. Jab shaadi ko ley k confuse tha, tab bhi bata diya.. And now when he realizes k he is WRONG, toh bhi he has no qualms about owning up to his mistake and apologizing.. Which in my opinion makes him a bigger man than he's given credit for, due to his age.

And it really touched my heart when Kesar is standing there, his head bowed, as the panchayat asks Gulaal for her decision.. It's like he KNOWS her answer and he KNOWS it's going to hurt.. And he's just preparing for it. But even then, when Gulaal does actually give consent to the breaking of the deeyarvatu, you can see the pain on his face.. Not because GULAAL said that the deeyarvatu should break (he had no illusions about that.. he KNEW that's what would happen).. I think it was just because having to hear yourself being rejected over and over again, does not in anyway make the ordeal any less painful.. You can prepare for it all you want, but in the end, whether you show it or now, it STILL hurts. Just like it does Taali.. And just like it did him..

Oh and I am completely in support of panchayat's decision, especially how BOTH Gulaal and Kesar were reproached for their irresponsible behavior in handling this matter.. Ghari ghari pe panchayat bula k poorey ghar ka tamasha banatey rahey hain ye donon.. Kabhi torna hai, phir nahi torna hai phir doobara torna hai - this (seemingly) whimsical attitude would seriously undermine the institution of marriage if it was entertained. No one is refusing them the right to choose not to live with each other, but after having abused their right to such a decision twice in the past, they now have to PROVE their faithfulness to THIS decision. What makes THIS one the FINAL decision, as Anu said! Pehley bhi itni hi "finality" sey decisions liye gaye thay.. and they were treated in such a nonchalant manner.. Toh really, why should the panchayat grant them this request - what if they come back in two days wanting to renew their deyarvatu.. Aisa thori hota hai! They have to PROVE that they are serious this time and that they really mean it - which can really happen if they put some thought into the decision instead of flipping coins on it each day (so to speak)..

And the one last thing that I really liked (and one that everyone else has noticed too) is how as SOON as Kesar said that he wanted to break the deeyarvatu, right from that MOMENT, you could see the wall between him and Gulaal starting to crumble.. And with every passing minute you can see Gulaal starting to view Kesar as an ally (finally!) instead of an adversary.. And I feel that this was in fact compounded by the fact that whenever any decision or anger was metted out to them from then on, it was given to the BOTH of them as a unit.. Panchayat ka decision was for the BOTH of them, ghar pe sab ka ghussa was for the BOTH of them! Everyone else had put them in the same team now - they weren't picking sided in their loyalty between the two but were rather universally "upset" or reproachful towards them. And that really just left them to turn to each other - which they did! I mean did you SEE the number of times they looked at each other..?! Everytime something happened or someone said something, they both found solace in each other - in the fact k even if everyone else (EVEN Motabha.. I mean, that's one person that we and Gulaal would have thought would support her decision entirely!) is against them at the moment, they at least have each other! And of course the camera angles played a big part to bring that across - how they were shot together in almost all the scene there after - in the same frame - really brought them across as a unit again.. Now I just hope k we get to see a final "clearing of the air" sort of conversation in today's episode.. To set the stage for a new dynamic between them!

*phew* Alright, I totally did not realize how long this had gotten.. 😳 I hope you didn't pass out due to brain numbing exhausting in the process.. *embarassed muh some more*

I was really amazed at Talli rani's wits🤢...who we all called bird brained,,,terrorist and what not.😆.Finally CV's gave her some meaningful role and not just mere daydreaming👏 .That reflection comparison was bang on.👏..actually again as you've already said Kesar has this impulsive nature and never has any thinking about long term goals or repercussions of his actions.Thankfully he is back into his senses. Also would like to point out some interesting observations about This whole blackmailing, zid bw Kesar and GULAAL...it has been there in their relationship since beginning...for instance..whenever kesar refused to do any work or listen to Gulaal she gave the dhamki of leaving the house..like when he refused to go to school and when he refused to dress up...and after this dhamki ..he used to bow down to her wishes...similarly Kesar wanted this exclusive treatment from Gulaal and if refused so would throw tantrums and resort to bhuk hartaals and eventually Gulaal would melt.So interestingly while Gulaal has become more ziddi..but Kesar seems to be stuck up in his childhood where he threw tantrums and eventually she gave up...God this couple is killing me with their unique chemistry😆Also this blackmailing and dhamki is carried on in the GUL kes COVO which is again brilliantly done.👏

Rainy Revelations:

[On a completely unrelated side note, what part of the desert Rajasthan is this show based in? By my average knowledge meter, it seems to rain a little too much, too frequently 😆]
I was also laughing Wasn't talsagra supposed to be in Rann of Kutch in Gujrat...

Anyway. Kesar has grown up with the dawning of that one realization - that Gulaal's heart can never accept him. . He begun with telling her it wasn't about them, or him, and she couldn't counter that start. Then he told her he wouldn't leave without saying his bit, that she would have to listen, and I'm happiest of all that he got the last word telling her not to threaten him - it could almost be completed to,You can't threaten me now, I finally know there's nothing more to lose!...He proves that beyond all his seemingly selfish ways, is the sole desire to protect her, and revive in her the person he once knew.
Beautifully written .👏...Love how their whole dhamki relation was carried on..but today Kesar actually has transcended the narrow boundaries of his eternal fear of loosing his gulaal..and the questions he raises that...vidhwa hona koi khushi ya garv ki baat nahi hai...that was exactly bang on⭐️

Relinquished Relation

She doesn't say she would never accept Kesar. She says nothing about his love. She just cannot relinquish her relationship with her late husband and give Kesar that place. Btw, Kesar's reaction to her confirmation, that she can never take him to be her husband.
Also would like to say that Kesar was anticipating this but he was still hurt by her statement and the tears in his eyes said it all😭

Rescue Rejection

You've said everything marvellously⭐️...Would like to add that I loved the characterization of Dushy...the actor has so much talent..the drawl in his speech, the air with which he sits..the remarkable stopping of Kesar's arguements by his hand gesture suggest nothing but his authority as a sarpanch...Also the way he addresses Kes-gUL as "aap"...that suggests his sincerity and respect for his position..which is in complete contrast to his role in the family..where he calls Gulaal "tum" and Kesar "tu"
Brilliant work Cv's👏

When she tells Kesar in the precap that by setting Gulaal free, he has opened the path to getting her back again - it worried me very much, as a philosophy coming from Talli!😳But perhaps that's just me.

And a delayed one, than usual - but tonight could not be given a pass!😳

Oh did I forget to say my usual? I love these CVs. The drama in this show never ends!😆

xx

This is when I say hats off to the writers, the director and cinematographer. Till Gulaal and Kesar were on different wavelengths, they usually had their own single frame but yesterday as many of us noticed, they were shown in one frame a lot of times and in sync with each other.

The writers have really set up a platform for Gulaal's journey towards Kesar now. I had always said that her feelings had to be handled with utmost care because if they rushed her side of the story then you would have fingers pointing towards her i.e. She saw him as a child etc. But the person she will fall in love with now is the mature and calm-headed Kesar.

What can I say about the bedroom scene which hasn't already been said already? It was one of their best scenes yet. Kesar tried to get THE Gulaal out of this shell. The Gulaal who once lived, smiled and laughed genuinely. His words really got to her because no-one else had dared to go that far with her. Maybe it shocked her even more that Kesar saw that side to her which no-one else ever has. The one she accused of being childish and pagal, turned around to give the biggest truth of her life. I don't think she ever stopped to wonder if Vasant would have moved on or not if she had died but Kesar's question really shook something inside her. Vasant wasn't the kind of person who would have close his options, he would have eventually moved on. I think she suddenly realized that Vasant wouldn't have reacted in the same way. Did anyone notice how her hand was shaking, she needed the support of the cabinet :(

JZee,
Beautifully written and absolutely no words to say how I feel reading this. And I too am a lover of alliteration in a script.Never bother about the length of your write ups. It is because there is so much to absorb and convey from a single sentence of the scene. The interpretation is always lengthy.
Piu,
The threatening from her end has always been that she would leave him or the house if he does not listen to her. But today, Kesar had nothing to lose since he feels he has already lost her. He has absolutely resolved to the truth that Gulaal will not love him like he does. So her threats did not matter to him.
Reema,
Kesar shook her from the roots (of her belief about her chosen path in life). When no one has tried to look into the actual Gulaal, though she pretends she is happy with her life, it is only him who has been able to know her heart which DOES yearn for love( I am talking about true love in all its sanctity and not specifically about a hubby wifey love alone). Yes, we did see a shaken Gulaal who had to avoid his gaze and had to look for support by holding the table.
Lennie, Anu and Fivr,
Excellent observations

^I said this in your topic Ganga and I think for me it sums up Gulaal. To love Kesar would mean she would have to love herself and that is something she is not 'allowed' to do.
