You misunderstand my comments. It is not okay for Kesar to yell at her, I mentioned that I hate Kesar's tantrums. However, Gulaal herself yelled at Kesar and even SLAPPED him several times, not once did Kesar slap her, so if you want to talk about violence, Gulaal is more violent than Kesar. Gulaal doesn't need to obey him but she can respect him as a human being - she treats him harshly as if punishing him for loving her.
Gulaal CHOSE TO MARRY KESAR, it was all Gulaal's choice, she is in this unwanted marriage through her choice alone, not Kesar's. In fact she chose to marry Kesar to Talli and despite his saying that he doesn't love her she kept insisting that he should marry her. So far, Gulaal has been using Kesar and Talli to fulfill her choices. Now that Kesar is rebelling she is holding on to her stubbornness. I watched old episodes recently and Gulaal could have refused to marry anyone, she didn't want to be treated badly or live like a widow or deal with Dushyant hence her decision to marry Kesar.
