Thank you buddies so much for your love and support. Because of this only today I am updating on my second thread. When I started I just thought that I will happy even if 10-15 people like my work. But I was overwhelmed with your affection and encouragement. I had started only with a basic idea but your words made me put an extra effort and add the details.

Thanks a lot. I hope you enjoy the rest of this journey as much.

Chapter 33 – Plans Plans Plans

A week later

Maan could not wait any longer to express his love. He had noticed the affect he had on Geet. Both Adi and Pinky had decided to not share their talk with their friends during their honeymoon period but rather let Maan and Geet find their way. But they did try to strengthen Maan's belief that Geet harbors similar feelings for him.

After a long thought Maan decided – "Kuch bhi ho jaye, I have to tell her how I feel. If she doesn't agree then I will spend whatever time it takes to persuade her. Main use apne se door nahin jaane doonga. Mana lunga kisi bhi tarah se. I have to believe in my love. If she says no I will convince her. If she says yes then I will celebrate with her."

Maan decided to propose to her on his birthday which was two days away. I will ask her love as a gift for my entire life. He decided that like last few years he will not have a party and if somebody dared to suggest, he will show his anger and not have it. Later he made plans to take Geet outside and tell her how he feels.

Meanwhile Geet's life was getting more and more miserable by the day. She knew now that what it feels like being in love especially when it was one sided. She had fallen really hard for the charming elusive doctor and her life was becoming more and more difficult. She will get restless when she didn't see him to the point that she didn't even enjoy her second love – her work also any more. Her focus was wavering and she spent more time daydreaming than actually working.

To top it all, she got really tongue tied and conscious whenever she saw him. At that moment there was nothing more she wanted than to hide herself from him. His mere gaze was enough to melt her and she felt like loosing all semblances of any sanity and control in her.

Next day

Maan enthusiastically made plans for his proposal. He booked a cottage in the resort near banks of Suraj Kund. He meticulously worked out everything from food to fireworks, from flowers to champagne. He went to a jewelry store and bought a beautiful bracelet with engraving "forever there with you"

Geet planned a surprise party for Maan's Birthday. To make it successful, entire family was roped in.

Juhi was little apprehensive – "Beta, you know him na…usne saaf saaf mana kar diya hai kisi bhi party se…dekh lena who time se ghar hi nahin aayega…mujhe to bahut dar lag raha hai"

Geet – "uf oh Beeji…aap bhi naa…who kya sach much ka sher hai jo humein kha jayega…kuch nahin hona hai…aur jab ek baar party mein aa jayega na to apne aap mood thik ho jana hai uska. Aur hum to sirf family hain aur bas Adi and Pinky. Humein kya kehna hai usne. Aur agar phir bhi apna dusht danav roop dikhaya na to dad ne sambhal lena hai…hai na dad"

Raj – "Haan Haan…bilkul"

Geet – "To thik hai jaisa decide hua hai…aunty aap aaj sham use Ram Tekri (courtesy Hum Aapke Hai Kaun) ke liye mana lena. Isse use bilkul bhi shak nahi hoga. Raaste mein when you are near the hotel, just tell him that you need a break. Take him to the hotel and wahan surprise!!! Baki sab main Annie or Pari ke saath milkar plan kar loongi and we all will be there waiting for you and Maan"

Same Day Evening, KM

Juhi – "Maan beta maine manat mangi thi that after we shift to Delhi I will go to Ram Tekri for puja. Tomorrow is an auspicious day and if you don' plan to celebrate to kal mandir chalein"

Maan – "What!!! Mom bhi na!!! Oh god, mere proposal ka kya hoga"

"Nahin Nahin mom, kal mujhe thoda kam hai, kisi aur din chalenge please"

Geet motioned to Juhi encouraging her.

Juhi – "Kya beta tujhe to meri koi fikar hi nahin hai…main hi pagal hoon jo khud hi soch liya…I should have known that you are a busy person who doesn't have time for his mom's stupid whims"

Annie giggled at her mom's filmy antics but was silenced by one look from Geet.

Maan rolled his eyes "Mom!!! Stop your emotional atyachaar! Thik hai but can we go in the afternoon so that we are back by 8:00. I have a late night appointment to keep"

Maan's st – "I will have to shift everything but I guess this is the best option right now"

Juhi glanced at Geet who nodded her head slightly.

Juhi – "Thik hai…ok…you come home by 4:00 PM"

Same Day 11:55 PM KH

Annie – "Di aap mar waoge…aapne bhai ka gussa nahin dekha hai"

Rishab – "Haan Geet, aise mein to usne meri bhi nahin sunni hai"

Geet – "Mujhe pata hai tumare dusht danav bhai ke bare mein…ab chalo"

Maan is in his bedroom almost in deep sleep. He is hugging the pillow while sucking on the corner of the lace (Guys feel free what he is dreaming about…ahem ahem…and btw it is not the same pillow cover. He has a stack now just incase he rips it in his dreams…I just wonder what is gonna happen to poor Geet…bechari soyegi kaise)

Suddenly he feels something cold and watery trickling down his head and face. He wakes up with a jerk to find water trickling down him. He is going to growl when he sees Geet holding a jug of water. Suddenly there is a smile on his face "wow, I wonder how she will look all wet". He turns his head and suddenly jumps up. Entire family is standing in front of him with Annie holding a huge cake "Happy Birthday!!!!!"

They all laughed at his surprise rather shock. Geet jumped onto the bed "Happy Birthday DD". That was it. Maan's anger melted like soft butter.

All pounced on him to wish him. Maan shouts - "Hmmm…you guys are wishing me or bashing me?"

Everybody hugged him together and made him cut the cake. All were feeding each other when Geet held one big piece and came close to Maan to give him a bite. "You know Maan always remember that you have to bear this only once but you get to do this minimum 8 times a year". Before Maan could understand what she meant, Geet gave a big grin and smeared the cake on his entire face with everybody hooting and clapping.

Maan wiped his face now completely covered in white cream with his one hand and ran after Geet. He caught her and caressed her face with the same hand smearing the cake on her face as well.

"Oye!!!!" is all everybody could say.

It was 1:00 AM by the time all the spilled cake and water was cleaned and last good nights were said. Maan had a huge smile…it was the beginning of his best birthday ever!!!
