It was odd and almost seemed funny in a serious setup when Talli asked Gulaal why she was leaving when Kesar was never going to love Talli. Here Gulaal was in pain recollecting all the memories of her life in the house. It was such a beautiful scene, I was almost in tears watching her and in comes who? None other than Ms. self-centered Talli who thinks that everything happens to serve her and her needs only and with her infinite wisdom, if she doesn't see herself gaining anything from it, then that act is meaningless. What does she really think of herself, has she gotten dumber since the dump? Is it even possible?

In fact when I heard her saying at the panchayat that she does not want them punishing him, I had really thought she loves him deeply. This episode changed my opinion. Like you mentioned, Gulaal was nostalgic when she was leaving behind her 10 years of memories in this house. I felt she did all the household chores as if this is the last day of her life in this small world; the Talsagra household
And Talli walks in to ask why she is leaving when actually her absence would in no way help her in GETTING KESAR. So why bother? And she repeated she would be left alone if Gulaal left. Agian, SELFISH
When I think back at the her dialogues at the panchayat, I feel that she only said she does not want them to punish Kesar. She never mentioned that Kesar was innocent or that the accusations are false. She very much believed that Kesar did a mistake, when not once had he given her a chance to think that he was in any way interested in her. So she gained more sympathy in saying that he should not be punished.

@Meysimi - That's right, I forgot about her "generosity" at the panchayet. LOL, who does she think she is? I so wish this character ceased to be :) but I know it is wishful thinking on my part.
