Mixed feelings...

How promising the start of the episode was! Navya showing a brave front, smiling genuinely, participating in the conversation & joking with her family. It didn't seem AT ALL like she had gone through a major heartbreak. & her thoughts in between were sincere enough to motivate me to watch the rest of the episode. However, although the first 4 minutes were great, we got some real Banaras shit served tonight. 🤢 For a full 5 minutes. & that was followed by Rama bullying Nimisha (the conversation between Nikhil & her was interesting btw). Right now I'm wondering why I even watched the rest of the episode, but I'm glad I did. The reason, later.

I don't know why but the parents are even worse than the Shitsters themselves, for me anyway. Their stupid qualities seem a hundred times magnified. Seriously, I could almost FEEL my IQ drop as the scene progressed. The mummy aur daddy's awkwardness in the presence of the Bajpayees just because of the so-called zameen-asmaan difference in social status is no reason for them to act plain dumb! It would have been comparatively much better if they had been so petrified infront of THE Shankar Neanderthal Bajpayee that they didn't talk.

Unfortunately, they did. & how, they did.

"How can we possiblity sit infront of Bajpayee ji?"
"How can we eat or drink anything from our in-laws' house?"
"How can we stay at our in-laws' house?"

And the response from Bua Daadi really made me wonder from where these people came from. "Just give 501 rupees to your daughter in exchange. That would be proper enough."

At the end of that scene, all I wanted to do was shove propriety down their throats!😡

The only slight saving grace was Anant & Navya's conversation in the car & on the hilltop. Of course we know that A is in love with N but it actually looks like he misses their friendship & the little things they shared. They actually SPOKE tonight. & we were gifted with a very frank admission on Anant's part, thank the good lord. What I'm wondering is whether Anant stopping by her house was by chance or by some plan to speak to her. I'm hoping that this didn't happen by some 'eery coincidence that was decided by the fates'. (How meaningful!) I believe in destiny, yeah, but I also believe in reality.

I wish that Navya would fight a little more. Show some passion. Question things. Doubt things. Her attitude is pretty depressing for both Anant and us. I will give credit to her for this, though. Looks like Miss Mishra has been doing some serious thinking albeit her thoughts being naive.
Just... Somebody save these two. Even if it is with something utterly cliche or corny. Dish out the teen-zindagi-barbaad theory. Anything.

So, basically, the things running through my head:
Send the Banaras parents back to their beloved Banaras ASAP!
Stick Anant & Navya in a car or on a hilltop permanently.

P.S. To the CVs: I would like a new scene for the car driving on the road. Unless you want me to believe that those people have been walking on that very road wearing the same clothes for the last 60 something(?) days.

Sincerly,
Aimin.

Lovely post, Aimin!

I'll post my thoughts in detail after watching the epi but for now, I'll say this much...the problem is not with showing the Benaras family nonsense...the problem is with how nothing moves on the AN front...even if they TALK...it's just stuff everyone already KNOWS...Navya doesn't show more reaction beyond her stance...Anant yearns for her presence...the chance to talk to her...hear her voice...I get that...but to just stand around with a mopey face and listen to Navya's monotone just makes for all round depressive viewing as well.

This is my opinion based on the previous two epis...baaki I'll watch today and then say.

Thanks Anu!😃

You're right. Nothing progressed in terms of the storyline, really. But I'm hoping that they will stay there long enough to actually say something new or just come out with the ell o vee ee already. >_>

Truthfully, this week was just not interesting enough for me. But after tonight's episode, I'm hopeful for tomorrow though my optimism is slightly diminished by the fact that Anant has disappeared. For whatever mysterious reason it may be, we'll see how things play out.

LOL Aimin...Anant disappearing is actually a positive sign...story has to move forward somehow now...won't just be stagnant😆

I'm finding it difficult to enjoy the show as much as I previously did though...I feel some NOTICEABLE reaction needs to be shown from Navya's end...her depressive monotone is getting to me a lot now...😕...

I don't know, Anu... I think Navya's defeatist pessimistic attitude is rubbing off on me. I'm still hesitent to think that this can bring about anything good. From what I've seen, the Bajpayees are pretty ruthless, MEAN people. I could almost see CSB asking, nay, demanding Anant to get married to Sagun even if Anant was on his deathbed.

I can't enjoy Navya these days either & it's not just because of Navya's standstill moments. Rama's family was exactly what I dreaded them to be with their stupid smiles and even stupider thoughts. But, truly Navya's melancholic state could drive anyone into depression.

Thats totally true!!
I do agree with u...it was utterly awful for adults like the Benaras wale to behave in such a way!!
I mean, hello!! We're living in the 21st century, just for the record, not even 18th century where you guys have to talk about the zameen-aasmaan ka fark in social status!!😕
Moreover, I liked your theory of the 3 zindagi barbaad, though its cliche, but it does reflect reality...especially if we have to show the aainaa to Miss Mishra, whose determination seems to have over-powered her feelings and emotions for Anant!!
And yeah...puhleez, "Stick Anant & Navya in a car or on a hilltop permanently"...
It will be a good boost for us, the audience!!!👍🏼

PS: I did notice the people on the road walking down the street, in the same direction, wearing the same clothes, and as a matter of fact I was asking myself the same question!!!🤣

hey amin foa good post😊
what can Navya do now If Anant cant gather the courage to confess his feelings .If i wud have been in Anant's place i wud have confessed to Navya abt my feeling that i love her n also wud said to my family abt it n never in the wild dream would marry a cartoon like saagun even if i wud have to lead a celibate life 😆 .There is no growth In Anya 's love story solely of the fact neither of them have a direct talk all they do is beat around bush .N specially i cant relate with Anant(being a guy) does such boys even exist atleast i dont think so .What has Anant done till now for his love as they say .Pyaar karna assaan hai par nibhana mushkil.Anant neither confess abt love neither spill beans to his family all he do is call Navya n talk some oh ahh nothing worthwhile even tired of his petulant behavior .It was Anant who made his first move n since he is the guy he shud have put a stronger front .A gal can fight from the whole world for her love but for that atleast she needs the guy 's support which is lacking in Anya 's relation .He cant live without Navya but still is marrying the cartoon n when he cudnt find a solution so run away .i have to say this ,this is the first show where the guy does everything that the gals usually do .be a crybaby ,confused abt feelings ,scared of family , petulance n last but not least when not find solution run away 😆

It'a a task de rigeur to write so much for a Navya epi aajkal! Kudos!

Yes, Navya's pessimistic attitude is not making sense any longer. For a girl who's so much in love with this guy, shouldn't his feelings at this point of time matter more than being politically correct?
