I am happy that you reminded me of the one person that eluded my mind JZee ,while I view this whole debacle.Regarding Talli,I feel JK's premonition about Talli becoming a very big problem in everyone of the motabha house (what is it called?)resident' life , is about to come true very soon.Probably by Friday.

Regarding Talli I feel that her "Love" for Kesar can be explained as a result of the loneliness she feels at the hands of the rest of the family. The whole sense of belonging is missing in her.Despite her being adopted by sudha her feeling of desolation from her parents death hasn't evaded her.If she would have felt like she belongs then she wouldn't have sought for comfort in her old house.
She acts just like a desperate orphan who is immensely grateful at the woman who finally adopted her.Talli in my eyes is a girl who just wants to belong and live happily a life she can call her own,on which she has a right. And she, thanks to gulaal(without sarcasm, really) believes that she has a chance to live that life with kesar.

Enter gulaal,in our resident tyaag ki murti(for all the respect i have for this character i cant stop the kes-gul fangirl in me from baring my pearly whites at her.) and talli has found her own warped version of her knight in shining armour.when she was orphaned, gulaal took her under her wings and since then our amazingly oblivious talli (what is her real name?šŸ˜•) has not gotten out of her gulaal heroine-worshiping role. She feels that gulaal would certainly always be there for her and idolises her.She too wants to be like the much loved and respected person in the village(after vasant).

The above in my opinion is the reason she follows Gulaal like a lost puppy.

Why the heck is she after gulaal's man(that is who kesar is really)?

Well gulaal saw two little fledglings under her wings playing radha kishan and a little lightbulb went off in her head(ding!),and she thought wouldn't they make a cute little couple ,and decided to play cupid.Well you see in her world kesu was an obedient little boy who would always answer in affirmative to any of her requests but in reality (of which the whole household seems to be oblivious) our little kesu grew up into a man obsessed with the mystery surrounding vasant(which i see is comfortably forgotten by kesar, well no prob gul is more important for his sanity.let him first overcome her then he can happily send dushyant to jail.) and possessive of and in love with "patni".

That is all the explanation i can give at the moment. This serial is really well written and the plot is soon turning out to be a Shakespearean drama with all the twists and foreboding.you somehow get a sense of what is going to happen beforehand or you later think " acha!,that is why he had said so!".Amazing characterisations.Love it!

Well i feel that we wont be getting rid of talli soon. She is here to consume some more footage along with her first love- (insert drumroll) the bhajiyas! (yes they are that special)

ok now,bye guys,take care.

P.S. I'll reply to all of you later on the other post and thanks everybody for sharing your opinion.Lennie,I apologise if I came out as rude/headstrong,but I misunderstood your meaning.Hope you didn't mind.Good Night/Morning/Afternoon!😊

to me gulaal and talli are more like stupid character of novel emma by jane austen ...emma aka gulaal who overestimates her match making abilities adopts talli aka harriet...talli indulges gulaal worst qualities, giving her opportunity to meddle and serving only to flatter her. gulaal in turn fills talli with grand pretensions that do not suit her low situation in society ...and then gulaal decides to marry her to her very own husband and thus running into complication confusion and utter mess

Beautifully explained. I totally agree with you, she just wants to be loved. And whats wrong with that? And how can you not fall inlove with Kesar? Doubt Gulaal can keep his hands off him, she just needs a reason to touch him, though in the form of a slap but still. Poor Taali, dont worry. I love you.

Vidya - pretty much sum up anything I'd have said, or would want to say.

Arti - I'm afraid I disagree, while the comparison is uncannily plausible, it has a major fallout - Gulaal is a mother hen by compulsion and circumstance, a lot more than Emma ever was. While Emma was just another female whose vanity lay purely in her wisdom than her exceptional looks, Gulaal for all her taking over the responsibility of the big kunba, has never actually grown into half the confidence that defines Emma. A basic but major difference is the way she falls back, at the end and beginning of each crucial juncture, to sharing with a mere photograph of her husband. Somewhere in her psyche, she has some divine guidelines from her man in heaven, which serve as her lamp in the bush! Emma on the other hand was far to sure of herself, and the only times she was challenged about it - by Knightley - she put it all down to his need to boss around her and assert himself. It wasn't until much towards the end, that consequences of her folly bring her down to reality. Gulaal on the other hand - if you presume Kesar is playing her Knightley in wanting to show her sense - still remains oblivious of where exactly she went wrong. Her sole concern, and reason to plead with Kesar, accept mistake, and expect him to punish her, not Talli lies purely in wanting to save the situation and salvage it best. In her heart of hearts, she still has no clue where Kesar comes from, or why his wedding with Talli is so wrong in his mind. She only understands that her decision making has offended him, and that her only mistake was to try and dictate the life of a now grown up man - which btw was never her intention! For her Kesar was, and is the kid, and she, his guardian. She hasn't taken upon this role because she's trying to be socially important or establish her forte in matchmaking, but because Kesar was always top of her list as a 'task' assigned by Vasant.

As for Talli - she was a kid when she came under the tutelage of the mother hen, not a grown up teen. She has seen, and learned what her formative years taught her - and unlike Emma's protege, she never had her own separate thoughts, likes/dislikes etc. which she would disregard for Emma's superior teaching. She came to Gulaal at too raw an age to have any mind of her at all... and in the given over protection of Gulaal, ceased to ever have the opportunity to see things objectively in her own perspective!

Sorry for the excruciatingly long comment here - but I really did see much to debate about that comparison, and had to say my bit! No offense to your opinion of course (:
