Chapter 19
Maan kept close eye on Geet...he made sure that she was eating well and the doctor comes regularly to check up on her...he wanted to be near her and hug her but he knew that he cannot ruin her happiness by showing his face to her...why would she want to see me? Do I deserve happiness? He couldn't live or die...he didn't belong to either worlds...he couldn't end his life because that was the easy way out instead of suffering...he wanted to suffer and go through the same pain as Geet...it still hurt him to see her with Suraj...even though he is happy that she found someone...he can't stand anyone being so close to her...he felt relieved when doctor told him she is better now...a smile crept up on his face...after many years he smiled..."thank god you are fine Geet...even though I can't come near you..I will make sure you are safe as long as you are here..." Maan hides behind pillars when he spotted Geet and Suraj coming...he watched her every move making sure she is fine...Geet smiles as the sun hits her face when she exited the hotel...
Geet: Suraj I am sorry because of me you had to worry so much...
Suraj: Geet its not a problem..come on you are my friend..and for now you are my responsibility..and I didn't worry about anything...the hotel took take of the doctor...
Geet (shocked); what? Why did they do that?
Suraj: I don't know...I was just told that they always do that for their customers...
Geet: Ohh that's nice..so where are we going today? Any news?
Suraj: umm (just then his phone rang) hold on I will be right back..stay here...(Geet stays behind waiting for Suraj...she goes near a flower plant and smiles when she touches it...suddenly she turned around looking everywhere frantically... "why did it feel like someone was behind me? It seems familiar..." she walks and starts searching for the unknown source..not even knowing what she is looking for...she comes back dejected when she couldn't find anything...Suraj comes back and taps her on the shoulder...) is everything alright...you seem disturbed?
Geet: I don't know why but it felt like someone is watching me
Suraj (looked around): Geet no one is here...come let's go...
Geet: Where are we going?
Suraj: I will tell you...
Maan comes out from hiding..."where are they going? I don't know if I should follow them? Do I have the right?" he stood there alone confused of what he should do...

Suraj: What happened Geet? why do you look confused?
Geet: umm why are we here at the resturant?
Suraj: Actually you know the call I had recieved..it was from a detective...he wanted to meet in person...he said that he has something to show us...
Geet ("babaji I hope he found maan...I can't stay away from him anymore..the only reason I am alive is because of him...if I don't find here then I won't go back home alive...for two years I have visited so many cities hoping that i find maan...I am losing my patience Babaji...please let this be good news..." she cries and quickly wipes her tears away...) let's go..I want to see (Suraj holds her hand...and leads her inside the restaurant...he leads them to a table where a guy was sitting...he stands up seeing Suraj...
Detective Mehra: Hello my name is Yash...am your detective
Suraj: This is Geet..I told you about...so you said that you have something to show us?
Yash: Please sit down so you guys can check peacefully (both sits down..Geet plays with her duputta in nervousness...Yash takes out the photos and places it on the table...Geet looks at Suraj with tears...she holds the photo in her hand and touches Maan's face with happiness..."he seems so lost...he is not the same Maan I knew of...there is no happiness in his eyes anymore...or any emotions...Maan what have you done to yourself..." her heart pains as she looks at the photo..."Babaji please let me meet him again..please...") My men took some of these photos of him here...they believe that he lives here somewhere
Suraj: do you know his address? or what he does?
Yash (sighs): Unfortunately, no they haven't come up with any information about his whereabouts...but we are working on it...this is a good start...
Suraj: good isn't good enough...I pay you guys for your services..and so far all you guys have come up with his pictures? We need more (He gets mad but Geet holds his hand and shakes her head no)
Geet: Suraj don't get mad...I am happy with the pictures...they were able to give us what other detectives couldn't...I am at peace now to know that he is alive and well...(to Yash) please find out more information about him as soon as possible...I waited two years for this and you have no idea how happy you made me today by showing me my Maan's picture
Yash: Don't worry Geet...we are doing whatever we can...I can assure you that we will find him and reunite you guys (he smiles at her...)
Suraj: I hope so...and i hope as soon as possible...(Geet ignores everything...and keeps looking at Maan's picture...Suraj shakes her) Geet come on let's go...Mr. Mehra..I hope I hear from you soon
Yash: You sure will...(All gets up and leaves...)
Suraj: Geet what do you want to do? We have the whole day ahead of us...
Geet: I just want to go back to the hotel...
Suraj: Alright...well you go ahead to the hotel I have to do something else...I will meet you soon (he smiles at her...Geet nodes her head...)
Geet was walking on the road looking at Maan's picture with tears of happniess...she didn't look where she was going...a car was speeding toward Geet..she didn't the car honking at her..she stopped walking when she heard her name..before she could turn around...someone came from
her behind and pulled her towards him...Suraj came near her...
Suraj: Geet are you ok? You should pay attention to where you are going...
Geet: Maan...(she began looking around frantically)
Suraj: Geet Maan is not here...
Geet: No Suraj...i just felt him...he was the one that pulled me away from the road...I even heard him calling my name...he is here somewhere...why isn't he coming in front of me? (She holds Suraj's color and hugs him)
Suraj: Geet...its going to be ok..I think you need some rest...if Maan was here right now I am sure he would've come in fornt of you...
Geet: You don't believe me? I know he was here..i felt him..
Suraj: Geet..ok...maybe he was here..but don't worry we will find him...come let's go..I shouldn't have left you alone...(he puts his arm around her shoulders and gently puts her in the taxi...)

Both Geet and Suraj reached the hotel...Suraj helped Geet get out of the taxi...who was sitll dazed and looking at Maan's picture..."I know Maan that was you...I know...I know your touch...where are you Maan? I won't leave until I find you...I will keep searching for you until I die...I love you..."
Suraj: Geet stay here I will go to the reception and thank them for their hospitality (she nods her head and sits on the sofa in the lobby) Excuse me (he goes to the receptionist) I wanted to say thank you for paying for the doctor bills...
Rec.: i don't understand what you are saying sir
Suraj: I am talking about the doctor that the hotel provided for free
Rec. (confused): There must be some confusion sir but out hotel does not have this policy
Suraj: what! Just yesturday when I called for a doctor..the doctor told us that the hotel paid for all the bills and medicine..and now you are saying that you guys don't do that?
Rec.: I am sorry sir but we did not say that...customers are responsibile for any extra charges incurred such as doctor fees...you might want to speak with the doctor
Suraj (confused): Alright..thanks...(he goes up to Geet...she stands up seeing him in that state)
Geet: What happened?
Suraj: I just spoke with the receptionist and they told me that the hotel does not take care of doctor fees...Then who did?
Geet (confused..then smiles with tears) Maan...
