Radhika and Suchi were fighting with the vessels and gas flames in the kitchen. Lechu came in, and sitting on the counter top, she watched the tension filled face of Radhika and Suchi.

Lechu: Actually why you two are getting this tensed, Bro only is coming , right?

Suchi looked at her and then went on stirring the curry that was boiling inside the hot pot.

Lechu: I can understand poor babhi's situation, she was actually missing Bro so much and i can see that clearly on her face listeing to Bro's voice, talks, and all, and what about you mom, I never seen you like this!.

Radhika went on hiding her face, from Lechu and pulled on her duppatta casually.

Suchi: can you please sit quiet for sometime.

Lechu: but tell me why you all are so tensed?

Suchi: Beta, he will be here at any minute, and I just want to finish all these, we thought of coming early, but nothing went as we planned, and everything got delayed and now he will be here at any minute, and it is not tension, I just want to finish it off,and when he comes, I just want to sit and talk to him., that's all.

Lechu: mom, now Bro is going to be here only, that you don't know.

Suchi: ha, I know, and I also knows that he is going to join your papa's company. Atleast I was able to see him after two years when he was in U.S., but after joining your dad's company, I don't know when I will be able to see my son. She pause for a second and took a deep breath and then went back to stirring.

Radhika paused listening to Suchi's comment and she stood shocked.

Lechu noticed that.

Lehcu: don't worry babhi, mom is like that, when it comes to dad's business, mom act like that only.

Lechu: ha, I forgot to tell you, dad just called, and dad is little late because of his meeting. Suddenly Lechu noticed the shade change on Suchi's face, she said to self : dad told me not to tell this to mom, uff, why did I tell this to mom, then suddenly as if remembering: mom, ha dad also said that Bro's flight is late .

Suchi: Lechu don't try to cover your dad ok, I knew it, didn't he mention how late is the flight. Lechu chuckled hearing that question, Suchi continued : his flight is late because of your dad's meeting, I told your dad in the morning itself that I can send Chander, and he didn't let me, and now see, let me check it out, poor Dev, he maybe waiting at the airport.

Saying that Suchi went and dialed the number. Radhika's ears just followed her. And in trance she continued her kitchen work. As she lost her patience she went to check with Suchi and Lechu followed her too.

Suchi: they put me on hold, why they are taking this long, I should have checked online only.

Lechu's exciting voice came out: HAI BROoo, um,... mom is getting all tensed, um, ok,... will tell her, ...we all are waiting, ...ok. See you soon.

Suchi hang up the receiver and looked at Lechu, Lechu coming near with a tease smile: aap ka beta tha, vo tho aa chuka hei, aur aap ka pathi dev usko laa reha hei, aur kuch sunna hei.

Suchi shooed off her hand that was coming to pinch her cheek. And then she went to kitchen.

Radhika's heart started beating faster that she also unknowingly followed Suchi.

Suchi turned off the stove: Radhika, we will make the rest of it later, let him come, my brain is not working, or we will manage with whatever is ready , ok..

Radhika was thinking how to say it, as she was doing everything mechanically.

The ladies went and sat on the sofa first, then they went out and waited outside.

Lechu: Finally your precious son is here, OMG! What all drama you made mom.

Suchi just looked at Lechu once and then smiled looking at the stopping car.

Lechu: look at that, what a smile, now I know, everything will be back to old days,... mom and son will join together and eat my head, for few years I had some peace, even though I liked Bro's idea, now I have to think it again.

Surrender coming out from the car: what is that Lechu?

Radhika's eyes fell on Dev., who was coming out from the other side, having the light leather jacket loosely over his shoulder, his eyes just brushed over her once and then fell on his mom, coming near he hugged his mom, and resting his face on her shoulder, he looked at his wife, and just winked once. Radhika suddenly blushed and her mouth went dry, and she lowered her gaze.

Dev with a happy smile pulled back his face, while listening to Lechu' s talk : Oh dad, this mom, she was making all the dramas here.

Dev and Surrender went to get the luggage out

Surrender: what 's new in that, she always does that , right?

Suchi helping to get the bag down: I knew it, then looking at Dev: your flight was on time, right?

Dev quickly: ha mom

Suchi looking at Lechu: see , I knew it, it is you dad, he forgot the time, and how nicely you were trying to cover it.

Surrender looked at Lehcu as if 'did you say it' and Lechu tried to give childish smile.

Radhika came to hold one of the bag. Dev pulled it back, and just looked at her, she looked at him back.

Cough cough , suddenly Radhika moved her gaze away and stepped back.

Dev with a smile : what?

Lechu with a tease face: um... um, let me see what you have brought for me, I will tell you after that.

Dev: Sorry my sister, I didn't buy anything new, I just packed everyhitng from there, and for that itself I paid extra.

Suchi to surrender: call chandenpur, Mohan bhayya called earlier too.

Dev keeping the luggage on the floor, went to get the last bag and he came and sat on the sofa. Radhika brought water glasses and Dev smiled as he took the glass from her.

The minute they entered the room, Lechu throwing the bag on the floor, jumped onto the bed.

Dev just looked around in their room, and found Radhika changed everything in, and arranged it more beautiful. His heart skipped a beat and he again looked at her. Radhika showed busy as if arranging the bags to the corner.

Lechu: Bro, do you know what I was talking about earlier?

Dev went and sat next to his sister, holding her shoulder : what is it Lechu?

Lechu looked at Radhika with her corner eye and started talking: that when you called from there na, deedi was blushing like anything, and whenever we used to talk about you, deedi was hiding her face shyly.

Radhika looked at Lechu shockingly and then feeling frustrated to stand there: I need to go down, have some work in kitchen.

Dev smiled seeing her frustration.

Lechu: that's true bro, and now too, before your arrival, both of their hands were shivering , I felt so bad for that potato which was smiling inside babhi's hold, the smile disappered and it almost was ready to cry loud, and the poor spatula in mom's hand, looked at me many times to save it from mom's hold, somehow I manged both of them .

As their talk continued, Radhika disappeared from the site.

Listening to Lehcu's talk

Lechu, getting up from the bed and giving him a hug: um, Thank you so much, and I love you so much.

Dev felt the coldness as the water drops started rolling down his skin. He brushed on his short hair to feel more cold, and soon he came out from the shower wearing a towel around his waist.

Dev came out from his room, with the towel around his waist, holding onto the railing he called out: Radhikaaa

Lechu whose eyes were glued watching her fav TV show, was enjoying the chocolate melting taste inside her cheek , looked up at Dev .

Dev: LEchu, tell Radhika to come up, I couldn't find my dress.

Lechu: BABHIII...

Radhika came to the hall within fraction of second , and looked at lechu surprisingly

Lechu in a very calm voice : Bro is looking for his dress.

Radhika felt a big relief listening to her calm voice, adjusting her duppatta, Radhika took the stairs up, thinking, I set that out for him, then , didn't he see it ?

She felt a current passing thru her, and she softly said: aap!!!

Dev putting the latch on, walked near to her: um, mei, didn't you see me earlier?

Radhika lowered her gaze. She felt her cheeks burning, her throat getting dry.

Nearing her, he lifted her chin up, and slowly she looked into his eyes, and as their eyes met , he said: I missed you so much.

Suddenly Radhika wrapping her arms around his wet skin: me too.

Dev with the happiest smile, took her in his arms, and tried to hold her so close, but then he felt her stomach on him. Losening his grip on her, Dev looked at her eyes again.

Radhika looked at him puzzled, as she wanted hold onto him more.

Dev: Radhika, our angel!!!.

Radhika suddenly looked down.

Dev: how is she?

Radhika just moved her chin in saying "she is alright"

Suddenly Dev kneeled down to see his little one, and he pulled down her duppatta and throw that on the floor.

Radhika felt his arms wrapping around her waist line and soon his lips fell over her tummy: hello beta, did you miss me, papa missed you so much, sooo much.

She heard his wet voice,... just to support him.. she strolled her hand over his head, but then she felt his wet hair, with still dripping water.

Radhika coming to reality: didn't you dry your hair!!.

Dev looking up: shhh, I am talking to my angel.

Radhika: um, but after drying your hair only.

Dev held on tight and said: no

Radhika: yes, get up, I can help you

Dev like a child: umhum

Radhika: ok then, I am going to go, mom needs me.

Dev: no

Radhika: then you better listen o me.

Dev standing on his feet: ok baba, now what you want?

Radhika pulling on his arm, made him to sit on the bed and then picking a towel from the rack, she came and stood in front of him and then looked at his wet shoulders, she started drying his hair. He held her flanks, for support, and then just looked up her serious face.

Dev: why you look so serious.

Radhika: just came, and see , you may get sick.

Dev: sick, or me!!!, I was dying to see you so close, so nothing will happen , ok.

Radhika: if you come out from shower like this then you will surely feel ill soon.

Dev: that's because I wanted to see you close, don't know how much I missed you.

Radhika pausing herself, looked down at his face and said: if you get sick na, then no one will let you come near me.

Dev puzzling his look: why?

Radhika; because they may say, I also will get it from you.

Dev: so?

Radhika: it will be bad for your princess , right?

Suddenly he held her tight and moved her closer and resting his face near her tummy: no way.

Radhika gaining her voice back : I need to go down, to help mom, she is alone in kitchen.

Dev: I don't want anything

Radhika with a smile: but others are hungry.

Dev with a smile: um, and my little princess too.

Radhika: um

Dev: so you did take care of her well. I am impressed.

Radhika: now leave me, let me go down. Ok.

She was about to get up, Dev pulled on her and she sat back on his thigh.

She heard his passionate voice, as he wrapped his arms around her waist line.: how can you go like that, I have something for you.

Radhika in a lowered voice: I will take it later.

Dev: for later I have something else, but for now, I cannot hold it back for now. his voice trailed off, Radhika looked at him passinately, and her soft lips shivered with a tuck of smile on that corner. and her fingers that was resting over his upper shoulder, curled down, telling him that she is ready to take it form him.

Dev's hand went behind her neck and he pulled her closer, her hand went behind his upper torso, letting him to feel her more.

Time ticked by.

They heard a knock at the door, brought them back to reality. Radhika pulled her face back, and looked at him stunningly, and then tried to get up from his lap quickly.

Dev holding her back: no

Radhika tried to convince him , but then noticed his eyes checking on her cheeks, and then down to her lips. Her eyes droopped down, taking a gasp.

Dev: I love to see the color of your cheek, I want to feel this buring skin. as he stroked his fingers over her cheek.

Radhika looking up into his eyes: somebody is at the door, and it is not good.

Dev: what is not good, it is my room, and I am sitting with my wife, and ..

As she felt his losening grip, Radhika got up quickly, and said softly: and this is not the time, ok, I already told you.

Dev: told what?

Radhika: aap bhi na. now what I will do?

Dev: what?

Radhika: you get up and go change

Lechu glueing her eyes on TV: di, you have a phone call, I think it is Buva.

Radhika hiding her embarrassment, taking a deep sigh went and answered the phone, and soon Dev came down and Radhika signaled out to give the receiver, Dev looking at Lechu's posture, passed her and went near Radhika and took the receiver, looking at her, giving a lovely smile. she blushed and tried to walk away, but then he held her hand. She struggled to get it out and then suddenly he released her as he heard Surrender's voice. Radhika disappeared into the kitchen, and Dev continued his talk with Buva.

As they settled everything in kitchen, all sat and was having dinner, and Dev was mainly discussing about his final pack up and lagguage issues, and all.

Surrender: Dev, so you will be joining from Monday, right.

Dev: yes dad

Surrender: good. So you will get four days of rest, do you have anything to settle here or...

Dev: No I am fine dad, there is nothing specific, unless, I may need a room for my homework,... that's not needed immediately , depending on the nature of work. Otherwise I will be fine.

Surrender: um. Let me know, or maybe we can share my office room, maybe another table, you can use the cupboard there, or there is enough space, you can settle in one corner, however you like it.

Dev: no dad, its not urgent, I am fine for now.

Suchi: um, now both can sit and discuss in one room, maybe soon we can move our dining table also into that.

Surrender: Suchi, why you always scratch on our work, you are also doing the same thing, right.

Lechu: Dad, don't be so selfish, ok. babhi can attend the meeting at any time, but that's not the case of my practical book, that lecturer gave me final warning, so what do I do.

Suchi: did you hear that Dev, with you, I never had any issue, with her, I don't know, as she step into next class, she is becoming more childish.

Radhika was sitiing next to Dev, and was serving him some curry., listening to Lechu's talk.

Suddenly Radhika felt a kick on her right side of her abdomen. She paused eating and as a reflex looked at Dev, along with touching his thigh.

Dev suddenly looked at her in question, but Radhika just looked at him blindly as she was not knowing what to say, she just nodded nothing and tried to slide her hand away, suddenly he held on her hand and looked at her again, asking what.

Radhika just generally looked at Lechu who was continuing her talk, and tried to pull away her hand.

Lechu: mom, was telling when Bro was in U.S atleast she was able to see him in 2 years, and after joining dad's company'!!

Suchi: say it completely, why did you stop?

Lechu just moved her lips in a disagreement sign and said : nothing.

In between Dev's eyes were falling on Radhika to know what is it? but she kept quiet, taking her eyes away.

Radhika was putting the towel over the rack, She saw Dev coming in.

Radhika with a smile: aren't you tired?

Dev: um, I am.

Radhika with a smile, spreaded the towel nicely over the rack and was about to turn. He came near and just lifted her up in his arms.

Radhika with a frightened face: what are you doing? Put me down, scaring me. Holding him tight by wrapping her arms around his neck for safety.

Dev: Don't be panick Radhika, I was just checking

Radhika: checking what?

Dev: that , how much weight you gained?

Radhika with a smile: as if you know?

Dev: ha, I know well, I don't need any special scale for this, ok.

Radhika: aap bhi na, then looking at his face : ok then tell me, did I gain weight?.

Dev with another smile: not that much, but still I can feel the difference, so um, you gained weight, and I can easily make it out.

Radhika: ok then, now you put me down, otherwise.

Dev: no, no otherwise, you two will be safe in my arms, don't you trust me.

Radhika with a smile, just cling more onto his neck.

Dev: ye hui na bath...

He slowly placed her over the bed safetly and Radhika slide back to sit properly at the header.

Dev came and sat next to her , turned the night lamp on too.

Dev: now tell me about everything.

Radhika: what everything!

Dev: that how much you missed me.

Radhika: I know, it is not me, more than me you missed us.

Dev with a smile: ha Radhika, I missed you so much, & my little princess, and then with a smile: how is she doing?

Radhika: Why you are asking me, ask her only.

Dev: um...My little princess, suddenly as if remembering somehting looking at her tummy, he said one minute, let me go grab your gift ok, and tell me how you like it. OK.

Dev: you just sit like that, I can put it over her.

Radhika: sitting comfortably back

Dev spread the dress over her tummy and then placed the booties on lower side. And put the bow over the top portion, and then admiried his little one in that dress. She saw his eyes dreaming

Radhika drying her eyes: so, now you are also back of this colors.

Dev: no Radhika, this was looking so cute , and see the baby picture on this, so cute na, so I am sure, our angel will look just perfect wearing this.

Radhika seeing his excited tone: are you sure?

Suddenly tighetening her forehead she smiled.

Dev: what happened?

Dev's smile disappeared and he said: no way, its my little princess, I told you. Not a boy,... boy, next time, this time it is my princess, Ok and no doubt about it. Final

Radhika smiling; ok baba, it is your princess.

Dev: um, now keep this as a secret only, we will take it out when our baby come into my hands , ok.

Radhika nodded her head in agrement.

She watched him carefully folding the dress back into the packet and he placed that inside the cupboard, and came back,turning the room light off, and sat on the bed.

Dev, touching on her tummy: ha, but then as if remembering some thing : Radhika what you tried to tell me ?

Radhika: when?

Dev: when we had dinner

Radhika: nothing, I forgot.

Dev : ummm

She saw him kissing over her tummy and she tried to control her smile, she touched her tummy sideways, to make sure, that angel knows her papa is here now, closer to her.

"hai my little princess, did you miss me?" he waited for an answer, and then looked at her pink color soft overlap.

"something not right?" he said softly

Radhika: what?

Dev: I want to be closer to her, and something is hiding her away from me and she connot hear me.

Radhika tightened her forehead. But then the lines disappeard as she realized the meaning of his words, and she lowered her gaze, and sat there like a doll, whose cheeks has been colored with dark pink paint. Unable to resist, he just placed a soft kiss over that shade, and said: did my princess give you hard time.

Radhika with a dried throat just nodded her head disagreeing

Dev: um, so she did behave well , as his hand just lifted up the hem of that tee she is wearing.

He clearly saw the changes on her tummy, became more prominent and taut, he softly tried to feel his baby, Radhika held her breath, and wanted to remind her angel about to kick him, but then she felt his hand moving away and his face came more closer and he started talking to his baby.

Dev tightening his forehead , looked up at : Radhika, why you want to intrude into our private time. He tried to move her hand away.

Radhika suddenly jerked.

Dev tightening his forehead; what happened?

Radhika tried to relax: ji, nothing.

Dev : you ok

Radhika: um

Dev seeing the pale color on her face: no something is wrong, you ok.

Radhika tried to relax and said: um

Dev bringing his head at her level and lifting her chin up: what happened Radhika?

Radhika: can you just sit with me like this for few minutes.

Dev tried to take his hand away form her stomach , But Radhika held his on her stomach

Dev: kya huva?

Radhika softly requested : just like this, please.

He rested his face near her shoulder space, and let his hand rest over her tummy. Radhika closed her eyes and she kept her hand on the other side of her tummy and tried hard to call her baby : wake up beta, just let your papa know that you missed him, wake up beta, don't sleep now, I want to you to move, I want to feel, you are mostly awake at this time, right?and we used to talk, remember, her inner voice was trying hard to wake her baby. Then she thought, Do you want me to call you loud, no beta, I am calling you loud only, you can hear my inner voice , right?, wake up beta,

Dev was sitting still in same position, soon she felt another one, followed by next.

Radhika with a smile wiped it off and moved her jaw down signaling him to look at his princess.

Dev softly asked: Is it true? is she really !!! he was unable to continue

Radhika moved her jaw agreeing with his statement.

Facing her tummy, his wet excited voice said: are you awake beta, did you say that you missed me, me too beta, I missed you too. Did you see what I brought for you?

Radhika held his back of neck , to bring him back to reality. He lifted up his face to look at her

Radhika with a smile: bas

Dev: no, this is for my princess, so it is not enough

Radhika: she is back to sleep

Dev: what? no

Radhika moved her jaw to tell him yes she is

He started moving his hand all over her stomach to feel that kick, and few minutes passed, and then he lifted up his face and looked at her and sitting up: um, you are right, I think now she is sleeping. And then with exclamatory eyes he asked: so now you know her better.

Radhika just smiled

Dev: see, earlier it was me who was knowing her better, but now you got to know her better, um, no problem, don't worry by tomorrow evening, we will get back to our friendship mode, with the new changes.ok.

Radhika just listened.

He sat back in relaxed posture and took her in his arms, Radhika rested her face near his chest.

Dev: Radhika I was waiting for this moment

Dev: I was waiting impatiently to take you in my arms, to listen to your heartbeat, to feel your breath, and now you are in my arms, and your heart is beating next to mine , and I can feel your breath falling onto me. I miss you so much Radhika.

She turned to her side to see him clearly and so did he facing her. His hand went on stroking her upper arm. He just looked at her lovingly.

Few minutes ticked by and he said: I love you Radhika.

Radhika suddenly with a smile, turned to the other side.

Dev moving closer: kya huva?

Radhika just nodded her head, saying nothing.

Dev slide his arm around her upper chest and brought his face over her neck to look at her face profile.

And said softly: tell me, what is it.

Radhika just smiled looking straight.

Dev resting his face on her side face: please

Radhika still didn't say anything, but just pulled on his arm to hold her tight in his embrace.

He placed a soft kiss over her cheek and then held her more closer. His leg just rested over hers. She felt the tickling as his breath fell in her.

Radhika shyly: so why did you bring back that jacket?

Dev digging his face back in her neck space: you know that well.

Radhika: you remember everything?

Dev: how can I forget? And his voice trailed off.

Radhika: everything!

Dev: um, because I want to love you more, and all those memories let it give me pain or happiness, that brought you more closer to me, that made me to know how much my Radhika loves me? How much I need you, how important it is for me to see this smile on your lips, see the shade of your cheeks, and i don't want this smile to disappear from your lips, and i don't want this shade to fade away from your face.
