I just said can someone slap him for the way he treats his wife I just can't tolerate his nonsense I feel for tat poor lady who alwayz took such abusive lanuguage from her husband Thats y just demande slap to damodar from savita. I too don't like all this stuff but i m helpless there is no option to give him his dues for that kind of behaviour !

Yes i suggested needle poking for sulo, whats harm in that? I hated the way she talked to savita Who is she to tell tat savita is not an aurat ?Who gave her the regards to tell so? Is this d way to talk wid an mentally ill patient ? Had she suffered what savita had suffered due to her devi daughter ? She was way out of her line that day to savita!

There are many abusive, disgusting comments made on savita in SOTD y don't u stop them Each & every single day tat poor lady is bashed. Arent we feeling bad for her. So can't we stand for her? n what physical abuse did i demanded for damo ? just a slap that too its our frustration tat we write all this stuffs Even i don't support domestic voilence bt d way damo treats his wife has provoked me to write this post!

Actually Shrads, i have no idea who started the needle posts on EDT because i stopped looking at it after seeing several similar posts.
You see, i think any kind of abusive language is inappropriate...in life and in this forum. Any thing that suggests physical harm or violence, name calling of negative types, swearing. Now i swear - in private and amongst my friends, so i am not a goody two shoes. But in public? and on a forum? and to call someone the swear word? no, that is not appropriate. I went back and looked at your damo thread. If you were angry at him waving a stick, why couldn't you just state that without resorting to a description using foul language and physical violence. The thread's violence escalated to wishing him dead and way more.

I am opposed to this language on ANY AND ALL THREADS, period. If any character is threatened in such ways, that person should be warned, if it happens again they should be removed from posting...and if the thread gets out of line, it should be closed.

You see violence begets violence.. the show itself shows violence in ways that seem to say it is acceptable and that in my opinion is wrong. All that slapping. If violence is to be shown on an epi it should be very clear it's not acceptable and it should be very limited - only to portray a point.

I don't know what more to say..

Pallai, I am responding to the posts who replied to my post. It seems there are two issues.

1) The show itself seems to perpetrate violence...continual slapping, threatening. I didn't like it at all that they showed Damo threatening Savita, though i happen to like the character of Damo. If violence must be occasionally shown to make a point, it should be shown that it is unacceptable. But quite frankly it seems to be the opposite.

2)But the more important point for the forum is that so many many posting seems not to be able to control their own anger and violent thoughts. If one finds the violence of a character inappropriate, why on earth do they resort to even worse violent language and thoughts to express their unhappiness at the script? It is so unnecessary. the English language has many words, and there is absolutely no need to resort to abusive violent language to express feelings. Especially wrong is to direct it to the characters or others in the threads.

I totally agree, and have always said - and posted...that offending posters should be warned once, and if they repeat, should be removed from posting. The problem is without that , the entire thread gets out of control and eventually needs to be shut down.

Sowmya- I have repeated over and over that i am opposed to violent and abusive language in ANY AND ALL THREADS. Not only violent language but picking pet names that are derogatory - it's all inappropriate. I have always stated - from way back - that the offending person should be warned once, and if they do it again, be removed from posting. End of story. You are right that it is because it is allowed to continue...and then the thread gets out of control and needs to be shut down...like the three mentioned in this thread. But at that point the thread does need to be shut down...no matter what thread it is.

There is a lot of anger on some of these forums. There are ways to express displeasure at the story line without resorting to violent and abusive language, name calling and swearing at the characters or other forum members... There are also some who challenge and bait, trying to get people to react. Why? What's the point and purpose in all of that.

It just may be if members can't be respectful and use respectful language that the forum will have to close. I certainly don't enjoy this any more.

Lots of stuff going on here but let me add my two cents. Guys, when discussing issues here, let's only focus on this forum that we are all part of. No need to discuss other forums and no need to mention other members (some of whom may have left) by name. I think that's against IF COC but I am not sure. Anyway, let's focus on IF only. :)

i agree,dis is a public forum where every1 an give their pov,people in the forum used to abuse shravani as well as pooja pihal but nobody close the post that time,but now wen sum members want to discuss about armaan behaviour as well as damodar moderators are closing the topic.i just want to know from the moderator is this forum only for armaan lovers where people shld talk how good they look together etc,if it is so people like me who is just here to discuss the show from practical point of view wont be part of it,i too have wen i was new to forum had written some post on armaan behaviour wid shravani and i dint had any idea y is it locked,and so many other post were closed cause only it was sumting against armaan

Isnt enough bashing done in all the threads here...every now and then people are opening up the thread and creating unrest while talking about the characters...dont you guys that we are not giving justice to the threads properly...and using it as an opportunity to degrade the characters or the members...

This is getting out of hands..and if the topic is closed it wont be closed down without any purpose...

And so this is also closed...we genuinely understand your concerns but there is a way of reporting too...
