Thank you for saying this...this also crossed my mind, but I guess it's better if it's gonna avoid useless fights...b/c some ppl jsut don't know how to respect the opinions of others! But I agree...it should be open for ALL and people should learn to respect differing opinions!

I guess, we both have different views and are going to stick to them. 😊 I do not prefer such disclaimers as I cannot read anything with my hands tied (Read Disclaimer). My reading or not reading a post won't make a difference for sure, but I find that quite offending and since this thread is Disclaimer Free, I am posting my views. 😊

exactly...u named it mate...u said it from ur point of view and am telling the same thing from my point of view..
if some may find wat i say or my point of view unreasonable...it may be full of reason to me na...its vice versa for me too..just like for u and others all.
but as u and me too said...language should not slip...but alas..it did slip in some cases...so we tried this method of disclaimer as a precaution...not to degrade any member..

u have ur answer in wat u said only mate..."most of the topic makers" ..i can assure u..iam not a part of those "most" here..we can handle a different opinion...but not outright calling names n bashing..we try our level best to prevent that :)

😊 no problem with having a different view..atleast u heard me and gave back a reply without bashing..and thats wat we want too.

@Lily: My last reply in this post and I am out of here.

True, it may be reasonable to you, and unreasonable to me, but since it's an open forum, and you decided to post that opinion here and not in a closed group, one should be open to what you may consider as unreasonable thoughts because they are often not nonsense.

Report abusive posts but Disclaimer, according to me, is not the right way to deal with the situation. It looks like, We here is building small-small Wells to share a thought with like-minded group and that does not look right in an open forum, again according to me. 😊

Thank you for your patient replies.

I am going to put in a disclaimer very soon- Penguins not allowed😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

I guess as Kuls said- we will continue to go in circles till everyone gets tired or real life intrudes and takes us away😛.

This thread really seems to have taken on a life of its own...and I must thank everyone for making the debate richer- both the agreers and the dissenters- I for one would not have had it any other way 😃

If you don't do that anyway, you will be warned/banned..simple as that really. Disclaimers of that sort won't make a difference to a rule that is already in place and is already being enforced.😕

That my dear is called a compromise- An agreement where both parties agree to something which neither of them wanted😆. I doubt Jyo could have done anything better. Since the disclaimer yayers and naysayers both did make some valid and some not so valid points. Lets take her judgment as final till we hear from the GMs😊

Silver Poise: 😡 I do not like you ... 😆😆😆 Anyway, gotta go now, and do some work. Looks like me love to go round and round in circles 😆. But, it amazes me, how the same view can be expressed in so many different ways. Love the beauty of expression. 😊

The fact that you are making them on a public forum, tells me that you would like other people to comment on your post. Now why would the TM restrict their disclaimers only to members who agree?

i dont agree how some bash my "point of view on a subject" not "my post"...there is a difference to both na..
sorry...discuss is not the word...i openly welcome those whose opinions r quite opposite to mine...it should be "bashing or degrading keeping in mind my point of view which is not similar to urs"...not discussion..

i welcome discussion..

just wanted to clear the difference here..hence mentioned

now for the disclaimer part..
it mainly said "pls refrain from commenting if u dont agree with us (like not ready to hear my point of view in the first place as it doesnt match ur view on a subject) " hoping to remind others that i too can voice my opinion like everyone else ..it dint say "do not post if u dont agree with us"...there is a difference in both.. we pleaded n hoped that how ever different of opinion may be there..it would not be degradary or out right bashing...
that was the inner meaning to that discliminair...u just took the face value or upper meaning to the words or misunderstood i think.

i dint restrict the posts only to members who agree ...we were trying to restrict and prevent from unnecessary bashing which could have arised owning to the currect atmosphere of the forum at that time..

I didn't think that stating the obvious would be considered a fair compromise but as long as I no longer have to see a post saying 'don't dare post if you disagree with my views' I'll be a happy person and I'll be more than happy to press the report button if I do see such disclaimers.😊

I hope we hear back from the GM's soon..I'd love to hear their POV on it all.

You hit the bulls eye dear!👏
