Epilogue

One Year Later
---------------------

Khurana Mansion
------------------------

He lay there quietly...looking at the gorgeous woman sleeping

peacefully in his arms.

He brushed aside a stray strand of hair from her forehead..

He knew that it was not a great idea to lie there staring at his hot

wife...his wicked mind had already started working over

time and was now showing him recaps of their passionate

night...and his body sure wanted a replay!!

"Nope,not now!!! Maan sudhar jaa..aaj khaas din hai...you have

work to do!"

Giving a gentle peck on her lips,he slowly got out of the bed and

tip toed into the bath room.

She woke up missing his warmth around her...

She pressed her face into his pillow inhaling his scent and lay

there listening to the shower running...

"Hai rabba,aaj meri birth day hai aur Maanji ne abhi tak mujhe

wish nahi kiya...Kal raat I thought he'd wish me at 12 o' clock...par

wish karne ke badle unhone...",she bit down her lip remembering

his passion!!

"Chaddo!! I'm sure he will wish me when he comes out..."

She laid back in anticipation...

He came out in a towel wrapped around his waist..

"Haaye... lagtha hai..subaah subaah meri jaan le lena ka iraada hai inka.."

She sighed...her eyes half closed...

"Mishti ,jaan..are you awake??"

"Yes...abhi wish karenge...I'm sure"

"Mishti,get up,mujhe break fast chahiye..I've to leave early

today...lots of meetings lined up..."

"Yeh lo..meetings...my foot!!!...can' t remember my birthday par

saare stupid 'meetings' yaad hai inko...hmmpph.."

Muttering under her breath she stomped off sulking...

He buried his head in the wardrobe to keep from laughing out loud!

His Mishti was surely the cutest thing alive!!!

She went downstairs still sulking...

"Maybe he is planning a surprise party for me...that's why!!!

haa...that's it!! ab dekho,neeche sab log bhi yehi pretend

karenge...but sorry folks...Geet Khurana is way too smart for

you!!"

Mentally patting herself on the back,she walked towards the dining room..

"Mishti beta...Happy Birthday darling!!"

"Poof...there goes my theory of a 'surprise' party down the drain!"

Daadi hugged and kissed her, so did Annie and Arjun...

They had flown down to Mumbai a week back to spend their

vacation with the family.

Tia had declared herself the official care taker of Annie's little

daughter Amrita..

"Mamma happy birthday!!"

Tia came running towards her with arms outstretched...

After hugs and kisses,she gave Geet two red roses...

"Mamma..these are from Ammu and I!"..she said pointing to

baby Amrita who gave a tooth less smile to her Di..

Pinky and Adi also walked in at that time...They too wished her...

By now Geet was seriously annoyed...

Every body had remembered her birthday except for the most

important person in her life!!

She stomped into the bed room with a scowl..

"I won't forgive him...(sniff))...I'll punish him...(sniff)...(sniff)...

every time I try to be annoyed with him ,he will do 'all that' and

distract me...but no!!...not this time!!!!(sniff)...I won't let him touch

me till my next Birthday, that too only if he remembers next time ...

or else... not until he learns to remember...(sniff)...(sniff)..."

The birthday party was in full swing at the Khurana mansion.

Still Maan was no where in sight!

Geet moved around greeting guests with a fake smile plastered on

her face...

In her mind,she was planning and plotting different methods to

murder her husband...

Suddenly,the lights in the hall dimmed dramatically!

A spot light blazed blinding her momentarily!!...and then... she

heard the rich,vibrant voice of her husband...

"Happy Birthday Mishti!!! Today, I'm going to do something,which

you have always been asking me to do ... something which I

couldn't bring myself to do till now...but... anything for you Mishti...

I love you!"

She looked at him with mixed emotions...Seeing him had

transported her to a different world all together...she didn't

remember her anger or annoyance any more...she just wanted to

run into his arms...lose herself in his embrace...she just wanted to

tell him not to force himself to do anything against his wishes,even

if it is for her happiness...

But before she could react...he started singing...

She was in tears by the time he finished singing...

He hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead..

The men cheered and congratulated them while the ladies wiped

their tears and beamed at the adorable couple...

Maan pulled her to the dance floor..

Geet kept looking at her dashing husband...immensely happy and

proud...little jealous too seeing how the women in the party were

drooling over him...but he was hers and only hers..

She will never forget this wonderful gift for the rest of her life...she

too had a return gift for him...she smiled shyly...

She was pregnant again...and... tonight after the party,she was

going to tell him..She hugged him tight... He looked at her his

eyes full of tenderness and love...

They felt two little arms hugging them and looked down...

Tia wanted to join them...Maan laughed and scooped her up...

He threw her in the air and caught her...Daddy and Tia's special

game...she squealed in delight and planted a big kiss on her

Daddy's cheeks.

Daadi looked at them ,her eyes brimming with tears of joy...her

Maan had found his Sangini...his complete happiness!!!

Me back again 😈 ; yet again 1st

Ok 1stly again the line that cracked me " I try to be annoyed with him ,he does 'all that' and

distracts me...no...not this time...(sniff)...I won't let him touch me

till my next Birthday, " 😲 Seriously Tanya u should know... Maan won't touch Geet till her next birthday ... 🤣

Loved how u twisted the cliche plot of surprise B'day morning of Geet where no family member is supposed to wish her 👏

Lastly , how the entire family celebrated their Geet's B'day . Perfect ending , could not have been better 👍🏼

In the entire FF my most memorable part was when Geet confronted Maan about his deeds & its impact on her . Whenever u wrote such scenes I had a lump in my throat 👏

Loved the strong characterization of Geet ; a woman of strong will & dignity 👏

All the supporting cast were also good ... Adi , Pinky , Tia , Daadi ⭐️

Truly this was 1 of the Best FFs I read 👏 ; Good concept & Excellent writing
