I totally loved Vrushali and Siddesh's performance on Friday's episode so just wanted to make a post to appreciate. :)

I just have so much respect for these two as dancers...and as overall artists. I've seen lot's of dancers perform and be really awesome and stuff, but there's very few who really make a mark. Really touch you and inspire you in some way. For me personally, there's very few dancers whom I can actually call artists. Just for their ability to express themselves SO well and really touch you on a deeper level somewhere. And their ability to really feel the music.

I've always wanted to see Siddesh and Vrushali perform together because both of these guys are just SO expressive while dancing! I've seen these guys together on Nachle Ve and stuff...but their performance today was just such a treat to watch! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Basically, these two just have SO much personality while dancing. Even when they screw up...and they do screw up lot's of times (especially Vrushali)...๐Ÿ˜†...they still entertain. They still make you want to watch them perform. And I just love the way they can hold these little moments through their dance. Like these clear, distinct moments. I find that SO genius. They are such intelligent, mature performers. Freakin' brilliant artists I think!

This was such a refreshing performance to watch. Full of confidence and personality. I don't think we've seen the Rumba style of dance before on DID...I might be mistaken here. But nevertheless...to me this was a very refreshing performance. Loved it!

So much respect for these guys as artists. ๐Ÿ˜Š Confession: I want to BE Vrushali. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜† As in, I want to be able to dance like this girl.

Sorry if I went a little over the top and carried away with my appreciation here. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜† But I can't help it. These guys are too awesome. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜†

dont know about season 1, but season two had rumba, shakti did it, doubles might also have rumba, have to check back

agree very much to you.
siddesh i first saw in zara nachke dikha on star plus, and truly speaking i didnt think of him as a very special dancer, and then i saw him in nachle ve, and then later in DID doubles audition, and went back to check him in DID2 epi, he is really really good.

and vrushali, words fail to express how much i like her. as it is i am aa sucker for classical dancers, vrush, amrita, kruti are my favorite dancers( even vaishnavi does bharatnatyam).

i always feel, if u r trained in Indian classical dance, u can carry off any dance form in the world and Vrushali just proved it.
she is so poised, and graceful when she dances, the small short moves she does, like remo said
and her face, she gives expressions so well. I loved her dancing.

Thanks for the reply. ๐Ÿ˜Š Oh yes, I do remember Shakti's rumba now...with Sushant right? I liked this one better though. These guys totally nailed that poise, posture, grace, AND expressions! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

I've always found Siddesh awesome! Ever since DID 1. I mean it goes to show how awesome he is when he can give Prince a takkar with his locking and popping style even! Something many dancers have failed to do! He has an edge as an overall performer because of his ability to express.

I don't think that if you're trained in classical dance you can carry off any style particularly. I think what makes a dancer versatile is their natural ability to feel the music and express themselves. But usually classical dancers find it hard to do western styles like hip-hop for example. But anyways, dancers like Kruti, Amrita and Vrushali have proven themselves to be really versatile despite their classical background so that's really commendable for sure.

Agree with you about the little moments. I think that's exactly why I find dancers like Vrushali and Siddesh so intelligent as performers. These guys have that knack of holding in their audience with these moments. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

My pleasure.๐Ÿ˜ƒ
yes, shakti did it with sushant, but i always felt it lacked something, i am not a trained ballroom dancer, so couldnt figure it out, now i know, what rumba really looks like

although today i am supremely disappointed at vrushali and kruti, i opened a thread, sadly , no one seems to notice it.๐Ÿ˜•

lol i always say i am a sucker for classical dance and classical dancers, so thats why i give it so much importance. classical Indian dance teaches u nritya, which not only includes dance beats but also natya or acting. anyways I am not what u call a real dancer, but i learned bits of bharatnatyam and manipuri as a kid, and i find no problem doing hip hops or street dancing( although not in a real dancer way, just frnds party)
but u r so right, they r such intelligent performers, dancers will come and go but these two seasons will always be a pioneer
btw: i think amit falon did a rumba, have to check the videos, they were always jumping over each other so much.

I had actually foun him better than Prince when he they both did L n P...
Siddhesh is a brilliant dancer but sometimes I do feel he needs a bit of humble pie.

They're brilliant dancers, and what sets the two apart is that they have a lot of stage presence! I noticed that about Vrushali when she dances with Daya in JDJ as well as with Siddhesh in ZND. (I didn't watch DID 1, hence the non-DID comparisions!) They complemented each other well in the rumba, and what I loved is that they complemented each other really well without overshadowing each other's performance. Although the performance was not perfect, it was hard to take your eyes off the pair in that performance!

Pallo, lovely post๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ...a rare "non season 1 contestants hating" post in here so that's always refreshing๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

Otherwise all I see overflowing in this forum are posts about how "arrogant" the season 1 contestants are and how they all suck๐Ÿ˜†...it seems this forum has transformed during season 2 and ppl only watched season 2 of DID...I personally having watched both seasons still feel there's an edge to the season 1 performers...also I don't find them to be "arrogant" like many in here deem them to be just cuz they happened to tout themselves more as a team...I like their honesty :P...and more importantly their abilities as performers๐Ÿ‘...maybe they should have been observed more in context of season 1 to fully understand them before passing sweeping judgments on them :-)

Actually, no one here is undermining Season 1 contestants' talent, however, the attitude they carry on that stage is not appealing or attractive. It is fine to say things in all fun and games, but disrespecting or being rude to other contestants is uncalled for. I've seen Siddhesh on ZND, and his attitude really turns me off. Prince's comment to Dharmesh was a little shocking as well. On the other hand, for example, Amrita's words were Jai today seemed so genuine and sweet-natured. To give Prince some credit, he also gave Kunwar semi-encouragement although he could have said that he liked the performance instead of going off of what the judges said. As far as team spirit is concerned, I feel that Season 2 promotes themselves more than Season 1 does. In fact, I'm starting to think Season 2 has all the josh and the jalwa! ๐Ÿ˜› Although, individually dancers like Mayuresh, Siddhesh, Jai, Vrushali are all fantastic. :)

My comments weren't directed at you...I was speaking about the general tone of the forum which is only about "Dharmesh sir is GOD" and "season two contestants are the only ones with team spirit"๐Ÿ˜†...I think Dharmesh is a fab dancer but I don't think the sun rises and sets with him either๐Ÿ˜›

Firstly I don't understand how ppl who haven't followed season 1 closely can suddenly become experts on how much team spirit season 1 has/doesn't have๐Ÿ˜•...I've followed both seasons and I think both teams have good team spirit...why season 1 is constantly undermined in this way is beyond me. I don't find any of their comments oh so offensive and rude.

I think as individual performers as well as a group, DID-1 are superb together...I don't see any "attitude" problem to them...there's the usual competitive banter going on, that's it...why is it being taken so personally by DID- 2 fans?๐Ÿค”

I am right there with you regarding Dharmesh. There is more to Season 2 than just Dharmesh and his dancing! Team spirit regarding DKS ... obviously there was no team spirit in the original DID format since they were all competing with each other. I am referring to their team spirits on this show. I don't think it's the problem of being taken personally, it's just that watching it on TV ... it doesn't seem like it's said in a light way. You like Season 1, so perhaps you're just as biased as a Season 2 fan and fails to see what he or she would see.

I know you weren't directing your post at my reply, however, I chose to address the issue anyway. Also, I love this show because there is one great performance after another ... it doesn't bother me if it's from a season 1 or 2 contestant(s). In the end, it is a treat to watch either way. The constant back and forth teasing is all for fun on the forum - at least from my end.
