Love your take on them!Originally posted by: pigbelly4myfeet
You guys said it all man! 😆 Totally agree, word for word. Especially all the bolded bits. 👍🏼Mayuresh was SOO freakin' awesome!! The song, the concept, the choreography, the emotions, and of course his AWESOME dance skills just made this such a memorable performance! 👏Man, I don't even know HOW he did that! I'm just going to sit and appreciate how AWESOME this guy is again and again! Speechless. 👏And Siddesh too...I had my mouth wide open when the whole story of the dance suddenly switched from this nice love story to something totally opposite: hatred and violence!! 😲 The choreography and Siddesh both were just SO damn awesome that I didn't even notice when this HUGE transition happened! I mean two such extreme emotions shown so well...that too performed on lyrics, and together with that rope wala prop! 👏 What an artist this guy is man! Again I was left speechless. And Jai too, even though his performance didn't go as great as planned...he STILL made his impact! He still showed how awesome he is! And that hanging upside down on that ladder with just your toes! Speechless yet again. 😆THIS is the impact these guys have on me! Leaving me speechless and just in so much awe. Even though I love and respect a lot of the dancers from Season 2 as well...honestly none of them have had THIS kind of an impact on me ever! The season 1 people are just too good man! They go above and beyond every time!Word about Punit's solo as well. There is just something amiss about Punit's dancing that I can't quite put to words. I think it's because he restricts himself. He doesn't put in that heart and soul fully. Doesn't go all out. Hence, even though his technique and his moves are all fine...I still don't connect to his dancing. 😕 I think Punit is better with lighthearted, slightly comedic stuff. Not super intense stuff that really requires you giving it your all into the performance.Oh and WORD about DID 1 TOTALLY and COMPLETELY outshining DID 2 in Saturday's episode! 👏The dance ki takkar was awesome to watch too! 👏 I love both Vrushali and Kruti. I personally preferred Vrushali's dancing because I think Vrushali has that poise and patience. I thought Vrushali had that gentleness to her performance. The sweetness required for a style like Bharatnatyam which is a God's dance. It's a prayer. I thought Kruti's performance indicated more competitiveness from her side. And classical dance forms aren't exactly competitive dances. Like for hip-hop and stuff you have dance battles and all that. Classical dances require that sweetness because you are showing devotion. I thought Kruti missed a few beats and lost her balance with a few poses as well which I am surprised the judges did not notice. And this was because she was way too excited while dancing. She needed more control. Which Kruti usually has because we have seen that Mahabharata performance of her's on DID 2...which was just splendid. I think Kruti was not in full control of her nerves in this performance. But she was awesome in the sense that she covered up her mistakes really well. And Kruti has greater speed and flexibility than Vrushali so that's also just as commendable.Objectively speaking, I thought both the girls had their plus points so I think they were pretty much equal. Personally and subjectively speaking, I enjoyed Vrushali's dancing more. 😛😆 I think Vrushali was a more mature performer in this takkar. 😊

Those are interesting points about the takkar, Pallo...well said👏👏...I have to agree about that poise, patience and sweetness to Vrushali's dance...that's the sense I got when I was watching it too...that she did it with this thehraav and gentle sort of sweetness...not missing out on the faster beats ofcourse...but just this thehraav that I usually expect to see in a Bharatnatyam act too (not that I'm an expert of any sort...lol)...I remember reading somewhere that she's trained at Hema Malini's dance academy, correct? Cuz that reallly showed in her dancing...it has that stamp of Hema Malini's style in a sense...that's the sense I got.
Kruti has just such a different style...I'm in awe of the sheer speed, sharpness and CLARITY in her movements👏👏...that is what ended up really standing out in this takkar to me...it kinda just took over...you know I didn't even notice where all she slipped😆...I guess I need to go back and watch it more carefully...but agree with you on that she was deffo doing it all more aggressively and that competitiveness was muchhh more obvious in her dancing...while maybe Vrushali was going with more traditional Bharatynatyam softer style. Overall to me also I got that sense of maturity in Vrushali's performance like you're saying...honestly I found it hard to choose and I felt bad for Vrushali in the end...I really enjoy watching both of them as classical dancers a lot so this was a tough one for sure...I think it just comes down to the fact that they both have markedly different styles of doing classical Bharatnatyam...I wish Geeta had been here to judge this...I am intrigued to see what she would have said about the technicalities.

@ Bold: Word.Yes Prince and Siddesh are not the greatest personalities in terms of being humble and diplomatic. And we've seen that since DID 1 so I really don't see any change in these guys. So why is this bugging people NOW all of a sudden? 😕 Because God forbid they formed an opinion against DID 2? And the oh so great D "Sir"?I have seen Siddesh acting really fake in DID 1 and put on an act to like people. 😆 But his emotions on Saturday after his performance were truly genuine. I have never seen Siddesh so humble. I think this guy has seen a lot of struggle and on Saturday he seemed genuinely humble to receive those compliments, especially from Remo. Totally agree! With Prince and Jai too, I see confidence more than anything else. I will never in a million years understand on what basis people pick on Jai's character actually. This guy has received a LOT of criticism and he really has taken that criticism to heart many times. Yet he has worked SO hard and proved himself time and again. I see no arrogance in Jai whatsoever. It is all hard work and pure love for his profession. It's pure dedication. I think what irks others about Jai is his saying things like "I am the best." I have seen that generally people consider that an arrogant statement. People like those who don't tout themselves much. On the other hand, a lot of people think that is confidence. I see it as confidence :) Anyways, Jai has proved again and again that he is a FANTASTIC dancer. What I find funny is people saying Jai has no passion for dance 😆
I actually only see good qualities in these guys emerging from such a show. These qualities of loyalty and humility which we never saw in contestants like Siddesh and Prince earlier. I fail to see how people on this forum can see so much negativity and so decidedly deem these guys as "BAD". I only see positive traits and maturity in these contestants from when we saw them last. I really wish people on the forum would stop spoiling this show for me, because I think this is such a fun and positive concept. The negativity around them on this forum is so OTT. It has reached a point where anything they do or don't do is considered bad. Like I said earlier, it seems as if they can do NO right 😆@ Blue: Dude, Alisha was TOTALLY right! 😆 Her loyalty for Vrushali aside, Alisha was totally correct that Kruti slipped. She lost balance not once but twice in the performance! She had to cover it up with another step hence it was hard to notice. But the whole point of those stationary postures is to hold them for a few seconds whereas Kruti could hardly stay still during that dance. 😆 She was way too excited. I didn't notice Kruti slipping so I have to go back and see it but yes Kruti certainly seemed very excited during the performance and more into the competitveness than Vrushali was😆 Apparently, they showed a video of Kruti slipping when Alisha said that..so come on it's not like Alisha is making things up to make Vrushali look better..usko bhi todhi bohaut knowledge hai dance ki. Aisi hi runners-up nahi bangayi 😆These guys are dancers themselves...so do they not have any right to express their opinions about the performances now? 😕 Especially since with the dance ki takkar on Saturday, the judging was totally subjective. It was NOT objective by any means. The judges gave Kruti a higher score simply because of their own personal preference and liking. Word! Since when are the contestants not allowed to have opinions on the performances? Why does Manish ask them how the other team did then?😆
Oh and I saw that post about Siddesh too. 😆 Seriously a major case of overreacting, that one is. 😕😆 Truly people will look for ANYTHING...even make up their own imaginary conversations to declare these guys as "bad". Amazing. 👏😆If Siddesh had said anything really bad, Remo and Shiamak would have given him an earful..Remo's done it before so why wouldn't he now? 😆
