The new character in 'Kyunkii' will be introduced on June 7.



With Balaji's 'Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' geared up for another 20-year leap, producer Ektaa Kapoor has launched a talent-hunt for Krishnatulsi - the new Tulsi.

Shivangi Singh Chauhan, creative head of Balaji Telefilms, reveals, "Although we have yet to zero in on the new characters, the special episode which introduces Krishnatulsi will be telecast on June 7, Ektaa's birthday," reveals. The episode will feature Tulsi (Smriti Z Irani) finding an abandoned baby on the banks of the river Ganga.

Smriti shares, "It's a pleasant coincidence that it happens to be Ektaa's birthday and also the 'punar-janam' of the serial." Veteran Sudha Shivpuri states sentimentally, "I wish Tulsi and her new family the best. If audiences will miss me, I will miss them too. But then the show must go on!"
