Krishna might be illiterate but actor Arhaan Bhel who plays the cool dude in STAR Plus' Pratigyaknows his movies and art. Here is the star talking about his favourite movies and how they stayed with him over the years. In a mix of Bollywood and Hollywood Arhaan displays quite a range.

Inception
Christopher Nolan is mind blowing. To come up with a concept like this where the hero secretly extracts valuable information from the unconscious mind of his targets while they are asleep and dreaming- it was unheard of and the way he has narrated and executed the plot is unbelievable.Inception is too good and too cool. It is out of this world.

Leonardo DiCaprio is totally convincing in his performance and the movie not only has a fabulous concept but science fiction, action, heist all rolled into now. I haven't met a single person who has seen the film and not been impressed with it.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
Like any other Indian and fan of Hindi movies, I loved watching Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Even today, I can see the film for three hours straight. It was an iconic film, though a romantic comedy, the film's story was clich and done to death. Yet the presentation, the locales, fresh and wonderful pairing of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, direction by Aditya Chopra- made all the difference. Today it is hailed as a classic and copied by other filmmakers.

The Fast and the Furious
Cars and bikes spell – it is a guy's film. And The Fast and the Furious and the sequel are totally for the men. Not only is the concept cool but the details shown about cars, make the machine a character in the film. I was discussing the film with a friend who read about it which said, the film is a love story of boys and their cars. I absolutely agree.

The Fast and the Furious is a street racing action film with macho actors like Vin Diesel and Paul Walker making the concept of street car racing alive. I loved watching the American built muscle cars in the movie.

Angoor
About Angoor there is just one word I have - Sanjeev Kumar. What an actor and what a film. The genius of Sanjeev Kumar, director Gulzar and Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors- on which the film was based on- made a concoction for a laugh-a-thon. I can keep watching this laugh riot from any point as Sanjeev Kumar was fantastic in the film. He is a great actor and his acting is outstanding. As a comedy the film was superb. Identical twins separated at birth and how things get jumbled when they land in the same city. Moushmi Chatterjee and Deven Verma too were brilliant in the movie.

Seven Pounds
Though the film is bit dark and heavy, I enjoyed it as it had an engaging story to tell. Will Smith has proved himself time and again in his movies and in this film too he showed his superior acting skills. The film is about a man who sets out to change the lives of seven people, in a bid for redemption after he kills seven people in a car crash. This bittersweet yet fascinating story has Smith in a quiet and rather introverted character which was a total contrast to Smith's previous films.

Peepli Live
I wouldn't say Peepli Live is a favourite film but it is one of the few films I saw recently that I enjoyed watching. Peepli Live was indeed different and engaging. Director Anusha Rizvi and producer Aamir Khan did not only do a fabulous job promoting the film, lest it get lost in the crowd of small budget films but the content was also worth the publicity.

Peepli Live is a comic satire on farmer suicides and the media and political reaction to the same. Not only was Natha the protagonist very talented but Raghubir Yadav too did a commendable job. Of course the song mehangai dyaan was cool too.

Seven
Seven was a thrilling concept with a good though predictable climax but nevertheless it was perfectly done. I loved Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman in the film. Their chemistry as two cops and partners was awesome. They are perhaps the classic example of one mature and one young and headstrong cop jodi in films, we have seen over the years. Kevin Spacey was eerie.

The idea of seven murders corresponding to seven deadly sins: Gluttony, Envy, Lust, Pride, Sloth, Greed and Wrath- was novel too. It was scary, complex and disturbing. The film was super stylish and though there were hardly any scenes with horror or dark elements, the direction and cinematography gave the film the edgy it needed.
