Buddy - You always shut me up....and shut me up well! I am speechless buddy...for it feels like old days again...when we spent hours discussing the show seriously as if our life depended on each others thoughts. I agree with every word you said. Did we get to the bottom of the problem?....that their love is not as unconditional as it used to be!?! I think we did....I can again go on and on and on with what might have happened and it will lead to one conclusion..but I'll spare everyone and let them just enjoy your words. 🤗

Happiness is in your hands...and you choose to be happy or not with your decisions. Those who advocate Geet leaving the house, isn't it a woman's responsibility to keep the housemates knitted together? Isn't that the reason why she is called a woman...isn't that the reason why she is worshiped? If things were left to men, this world would have been a miserable place. But woman make this world a place worth living in...women carry the burden of family honor....the privilege of being mothers, of being the heart and soul of a family. Can you imagine your families without women? I may sound as a 17th or 18th century grandmom...but the fact remains...Women have great power! If Geet had chosen to leave her home after many trials...I could side her. But without giving her marriage another chance, she remains an offender for leaving the home of the family who not only took her in in the worst times, but also treated her like their own when she had no one to look to.

Dols... you make excellent points... about Dharma here..unfortunately many elite minds here see it as man vs woman thing. Being a 21st century woman means we have evolved developed intellectually and socially to override the prejudices we grew up and also apply moral reasoning for the best outcome in our lives and the lives of those we care and love deeply when making life changing decisions.

G walking out on MSK, her marriage and then finally a pleading Dadi and the rest of family that gave her nothing but ample love and respect shows to be a major debacle of epic proportions, hardly sagacious if you look at the consequences since the breakup. The outcome shows that she forsake all of the benevolent Khurana clan members to uphold her pardon for one - the one who used her and left her to die.
Yes MSK said those words about her in anger and she decided to react with hurt by not taking it in the larger context of the extent of enrage MSK felt about D and the reasoning of how and why he wanted to save her from D.. How could she forget the apprehension she felt about telling him and his unpleasant reaction thereafter all the while he was avoiding her on Holi day.
Everyone will attest the fact that MSK has always always accommodated her wishes and whims no matter how silly they were. He sees her in positive light always overlooking his own positive qualities. This is so true of all strong natured man who when influenced submit most unreservedly. I for one am glad that MSK stood his ground this one time and maintained his character integrity by sticking with his feelings whether right or wrong and not giving in just to appease Gith regardless of his inability to express his disgust which turned out to be a deal breaker from G's pov. She reacted to his temperament and not his character.

This is a fiction and entertainment after all...Gets people talking and discussing... Never in my wildest imagination thought that a man (or a woman) would do Agni Pariksha on his/her own volition.!

I searched for it all day....finally found it!!! Sorry for the delay 😳

It is really wonderful to be a woman !
the time the Lord made women, he was into his Sixth day of working overtime.
An Angel appeared and said, "why are you spending so much time on this one?".

And the Lord answered and said, "
Have you seen the specsheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have 200 movable parts, all replaceable,
run on black coffee and leftovers,
havea lap that can hold three children at one time and
that disappears when she stands up,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart,
and have six pairs of hands."

The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one.
"Six pairs of hands! No Way!", said the Angel.
The Lord replied,
"Oh, it's not the hands that are the problem.
It's the three pairs of eyes that women must have!".
"And that's just on the standard model?" the Angel asked.
The Lord nodded in agreement.
"Yep, one pair of eyes are to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing
even though she already knows.
Another pair in the back of her head are to see what she needs to know
even though no one thinks she can.
And the third pair are here in the front of her head.
They are for looking at an errant child and saying that she understands and
loves him or her without even saying a single word."

The Angel tried to stop the Lord.
"This is too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish."

But I can't!", the Lord protested,
"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart."
She already heals herself when she is sick AND
can feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and
can get a nine year old to stand in the shower."

The Angel moved closer and touched the woman,
"but you have made her so soft Lord."
"She is soft", the Lord greed, "but I have also made her tough."
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?", asked the Angel.
The Lord replied,
"not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason, and negotiate."

The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman's cheek.
"Oops, it looks like you have a leak with this model."
I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."
That's not a leak," the Lord objected,
"that's a tear!"
"What's the tear for?" the Angel asked.
The Lord said,
"the tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain,
her disappointment, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride."

The Angel was impressed.
"You are a genius, Lord.
You thought of everything, for women are truly amazing."

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They carry children, they carry hardships,
they carry burdens but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up for injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without new shoes so their children can have them.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They have sorrow at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope.
They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.

@Dolphin: Thanks. I am glad you have started to post again. I remember you used to post in 3 Idiots thread and I really liked your posts.

@ Nandita: Thanks.

@sksg : You have put words to my thoughts "There is no longer any point in fighting whether Maan is better than Geet or vice-versa. The very fact that such fight occurs means that their love got somehow tainted, and their relationship is no longer what it used to be" Bingo👍🏼

@my view: I really like the way you put your thoughts with belief and reason. Balanced and logical.

@Shradha,An,Ria,Pooja,Maandy and all: Excellent analysis by everyone. It was good to read so many different but balanced perspective in one thread without any character bashing.

Thanks a ton guys....EVERYONE...for sharing their POV. Special thanks to nandu for urging me to post this here...I was otherwise hesitant. I've come to the conclusion that one cannot deduce anything from these healthy debates ..but they do help each one of us in seeing things from others perspective....something which we would not have otherwise thought of. So Thanks everyone who took the time to read the post/comments and provided more insight.

Cheers,

Could I agree more?
Yupp...
If you write more.
Know what?
I had decided not to reply her after I had some sad moments here with some other member.
But, must say your reply drove me back to it.
You expressed all that I wanted to say in such a way that none have could.
Anyways, not extending the answer and of course the points, I must end my reply here only.
I am not in the mood of discussing this topic any more. As I have realized that this is of no use.

Once again. Hats off to you for this flawless piece of writing. 👏
Bye.😃

No offence intended to anyone.
