di .... CGM ... er birth niye dere is lot of confusion... some say he is of sakya clan .. some say brought up by peacock tamers thats why "maurya"..(near nepal) some say he is son of nanda king & a servant.

time period is nearly 300bc ,chanakya trained him to take revenge from last nanda king dhananand.

CGM was married to durdhara.. & may be Seleucas's daughter helena. It was just matrimonial alliance. He destroyed the nanda dynasty . & CGM's period economy boomed. I guess at that time dere were 16 mahajanapad. he took over all . His kingdom stretched from Deccan in the south to asssam & afghanistan. Except Ashoka .. no one had so vast empire.😊
