Nupur was roaming around in her garden since the past an hour. As usual she was lost in thought but her eyes were searchingā¦. Waiting.. for a single glimpse of himā¦

Mayank Sharma was working with Mr. Bushan in his office. They were trying to sort out the finantial crisis Mr Bushan was in. Mayank had worked with him for 5 years as a partner and even though they were no longer partners and were busy running their different businesses , Mr Bushan and Mayank were still friends and Mayank was always whole heartedly there to help Mr Bushan whenever he required it.
However today , just one glimpse at the documents have told him that Mr. Bushan's business was in need of some crucial changes , otherwise it will collapse completely.
They were discussing this when they heard a soft knock on the door and Nupur Bushan entered the room.

Nupur had waited too much and so she finally decided to go to the office herself. as soon as she entered , she was granted with a complete view of Mayank who was sitting right in front on the door. As usual she felt her heart skip a beat at seeing him. He was so handsome. Tall, dark, with those penetrating eyes. he was all she had ever wanted her dream man to be and even more. She was already staring at him since a whole minute like a besotted fool.

Mayank groaned inwardly. At the age of 21 Nupur was far younger then Mayank who was turning 32 this month and so Mayank was all set to treat her like a childish girl that she was but the problem was this crush she had developed on him recently. Mayank called it crush only as he believed she was too young and innocent to develop any stronger feelings. However he was unable to ignore the stares, the glances when she was sure he wasn't seeing her. She was too innocent to monitor her face expressions and so as usual the excitement in her eyes betrayed her feelings for him. The thing Mayank found most annoying was her constant blushing whenever she was around him.
Nupur was beautiful too. With her shoulder length hair falling freely, with her almond shaped eyes, and with that innocent , bewitching face , it was obvious that she was highly sought after girl of the town but for Mayank she was still a girl too young for him. above all she was Mr. Bushan's onlu daughter and he had no intension of ruining his relationship with his friend by encouraging Nupur when he knew she wasn't his type.
Her innocence may attract him but he preferred older, more mature women who knew where they stand with him and were easy to dispose of whenever he got bored. He wasn't the one woman sort of man . after looking at the disastrous marriage of his mother and father he had promised himself to stay away from complications of marriage and he has succeeded so far well without a wife so he had no intension of taking a risk in future.
Ofcourse his younger brother Samrat and his sister in law Gunjan were a completely different case. They both loved each other so much that they knew how to sought happiness in their lives.
His heart warmed at the thought of them. They were his only relatives alive now and he loved them both very much.. he was glad at his brother's decision to marry Gunjan who was like a sister to him. She loved him too and was very sweet and caring but unfortunately she was Nupur's best friend and so was constantly after him.
Gunjan: " you don't give a damn about her feelings."
Mayank: " its just a crush. She will get over it as soon as she meet the right man."
Gunjan: " whats wrong with you? cant you see she loves you?"
As soon as argument got heated Samrat intruded in. Gunjna was pregnant in in her last stage. They were expecting a good news very soon and so Mayank hated arguing with her and upsetting her but he couldn't risk encouraging Nupur in any way. She was already getting very obvious.

Nupur saw him looking at her and blushed.
Nupur: " hello Mayank."
Mayank: " hello Nupur."
He was looking at the documents in his hand.
Nupur: " so how are you?"
Mayank: " how do I look?"
Nupur: " magnificent as usual."
She said this and blushed which made Mayank scowl.
Mr Bushan who was too engrossed in documents to listen to them said: " koi kam tha beta?"
Nupur: " naheā¦ ermm.. jee .. ermmā¦ baba mein Gunjna se mil aon?"
Mr. Bushan: " yeah sure. But beat driver nahe hai. Mayank tum le jao gay Nupur ko? I will pick her up in the evening. That is to say if you intent to go to your home."
Mayank was trapped. He had promised Gunjan to have lunch with them today and so he had to go home. For a moment he thought maybe it was pre planned between the best friends but then he pushed the thought away.
Mayank: " yeah okay."
Nupur: " ok great. Then I will go get ready."
She left with a grin on her face which made Mayank wonder if had made the right decision and is the lunch at home will cost him too much.
