She went back to the sofa with a dejected sigh, and stared sadly at the flames arising from the fire. When the telephone rang, she jerked in surprise as she was startled by the sudden sound which made her come out of trance. She snatched the receiver of the telephone from the table.

"Hello?"

"Hello'.Geet? Hi, it's Pari. I've been trying to call you the whole day, but it was so busy at the store, I didn't have a chance. Mujhe tujhse kuch important baat karni hai. I'd rather do that in person, but'do you have time to talk?"

"Sure. What's on your mind?"

"First of all, I wanted to thank you for doing the book signing yesterday. I know how tired you were, and I appreciate you taking the time, that too at the end of your tour for this."

"No problem. I always enjoy doing book-signings at your store. Your customers are so sweet. Now, what's this 'important' thing that you wanted to talk about?"

"Oh, well, you see --" Pari paused. "Since you're speaking to me at the moment, I assume Maan Singh Khurana carried out his mission of delivering you safely home. Did you manage to get home without threatening to murder him or inking him to death?"😆

"Ha'ha'very funny. Actually I slept all the way home."

"Oh, you're such a dud. Maan Singh Khurana, one of the sexiest men in Delhi, and on top of it he was nice too😳, and you just slept all the way. You are just hopeless."

"Me? Look who's talking. You're cruel to the male population."

"I'm not.😲 I'm dating three different men at the moment. It's just that agar unme se koi serious ho jaata hai to, I just show them the way out."😉

"You're so bad Pari. Not bad actually mean. 😆Is this the 'important' topic?"

"No. Well, yes, sort of. Mera matlab hai ki --"

"Pari!"

"Okay, okay, I'm getting to it." She cleared her throat. "Geet I want you to keep an open mind while I explain the 'important' topic. Have you decided on THE PROJECT yet?"

"No.😔 Mera to dimaag hi nahi chal raha. I have already wasted one day.😔 Why?"

"Well, you see, Anvesha is very concerned about Maan. He works extremely hard, especially worked harder when he was in London, with very little time off. He says he'll not go back to work for few days, but Anvesha says he'll never do it. He'll end up in office somehow."

"Wo bahut pareshan ho rahi thi, I mean really getting stressed, when we were talking about him. She is really worried about Maan. To calm her down, I suggested we try to think of a way to get him to relax, enjoy his time off. So we came up with a plan."

"Ye to bahut acchi baat hai," Geet said. "However, mujhe ye samajh nahi aa raha ye 'important' baat jo ki Maan se related hai, has anything to do with me?"😕

"Because you are the solution, the answer. Are you ready? Maan Singh Khurana will be THE PROJECT you'll take on during your vacation."

"What?"😡 Geet shouted.
