I don't think Tamil's kovam's going to go down for a very long time. But Thulasi didn't know it was Chaaru's dad that stabbed him. If Tamil had told Thulasi in the first place about how he was planning the wedding to happen between Laavanya and Nithish then Thulasi wouldn't have filed a complaint against the guy. She tried everything she could to stop the police going to the mandabam and she even phones Tamil to do something. I blame Tamil because he should really stop hiding things from his wife because in the end something like will happen and the bad name goes to Thulasi.
