Great article! đđź I totally agree. This season of KWK seems like it's specially
designed to create controversies. The whole concept/point of the show seems malicious in its intent. It totally feels like Karan especially calls all the stars to talk this kind of malicious crap about other stars. That's what he expects and that's what the stars give him. And apparently that's what 'entertainment' is these days. đ¤
The only episode I actually liked this season was the Ajay Devgan one...and maybe the Amitabh one a little as well. Since the intent of those episodes seemed more towards getting to know the stars instead of the usual creating controversies and badmouthing other actors. Maybe it was because both of these celebrities are so respected that Karan himself was behaving more in these episodes. đ :P The questions didn't seem as designed to bring out malicious answers.
The past seasons of KWK were fun to watch because it felt like you were getting an insider on how your favourite actors actually are in real life. Most of the stars would just act themselves and you could see an actual comraderie and respect between most actors. The show was designed as a friendly chat/getting to know people since Karan has that inside advantage of knowing them all personally.
But this season is totally fake, scripted and malicious in its intent. Even the stars seem to want to appear on this show to make themselves look better. I'm quite sick of all this "sexual" /risque kind of comments as well. Totally lame and trying too hard to impress type of comments are made by actors this season, and Karan himself seems to be asking for exactly this kind of a response. So called dignity and grace are traits totally unheard of in this show. Both from the host's side and from the guests' side.
Sure the media these days isn't helping with creating this kind of an atmosphere in bollywood. But this very season of KWK I feel is adding more fuel to fire than necessary. It's totally not needed. Not to mention just plain boring and tiresome to watch. đđź
