The only problem (which is not much of a problem for audience) with Bollywood these days is that earlier the women kept quiet and the leading men continued with their waywardness and publicity stunts. Today the girls speak out so the tehzeeb is suddenly gone for a toss. It's much better for these havaldaars of tehzeeb if things continue to happen behind closed doors. That's all.

Its not that bollywood was not this sleazy earlier. I guess the women were expected to have tehzeeb and put up with the men and their boys will be boys attitude. Iam glad the girls are outspoken now.

However the stars have lost the aura of secrecy they once had. Its hard to be in awe of a person who you keep seeing everywhere 24 X 7- TV, magazines etc, add twitter etc on top of that. Familiarity breeds contempt.

I actually love these catty remarks, it brings entertainment. I think we should all thank Shobhaa de and Sonam who started the harsh remarks, it was back in 2008, they use to make masla quotes to each other or about others.

KWK it's just entertainment. When sonam-deepika episode was being taped, Ranbir was there in the studio, we saw the behind the scenes pictures of ranbir-sonam-deepika. So I think they are doing the show just for fun

what annoyed me the most , though not really related to this article, was serious issues like IT raids were reduced to jokes in the media. there were 198578237 articles on shahid's chaddis.. pathetic really..

KWK just carried the torch....lol deepika saying she'll give condom as a gift to ranbir....the controversy kept coming from kwk but it's all in good fun.

I would rather see these remarks than boring answers

Television is a sign of changing times. how are the young people in India today? they were their confidence on their slereves and arent scared to express themselves.

However the older generation still recollect their times when everything was different.

even today when I was speaking with my mom, we had an arguement where I stood my ground. She told me in her times she didnt have the courage even to argue with her elder siblings let alone her parents.

Sign of changing times.

wow, that was one well written article. It tied all those different scandals and controversies together...makes you actually ponder where are we heading and question our own initial response to those controversies. I, for one, did end up questioning if it was right of me to laugh watching Deepika-Sonam's rapid fire round....sure, it was entertaining but I guess it made me neglect the degree of insensitiveness and disrespect in those rapid fire rounds or one of those tweets. I'm actually feeling a lil guilty...cuz maybe thats the kind of behaviour I'd have despised in real, normal day to day life.
