Smallville and 90210 casting!

Soap star joins '90210'
Blair Redford, who's better known to soap fans as the third Miguel on the now-defunct Passions, is heading to primetime.

The young actor has joined The CW's 90210 in a major recurring role as Oscar, reports EW.com.

Described as a "handsome, charismatic and charming Brit," Oscar is said to (naturally) stir the teen drama's pot come fall once he moves in with Ivy (Gillian Zinser) and her mom.

90210's third seasons bows Sept. 13.

'Smallville' star returns
An original cast member is returning to The CW's popular drama just in time for the series' final season.

John Schneider, who played Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) adoptive human father Jonathan on Smallville, is reprising his role, reports IGN. Interesting, considering his character was killed off in Season 5.

Plot details have yet to be released, but we do know that Schneider will appear in at least two episodes beginning with the season debut this fall on Sept. 24.
