Delhi Belly To Release On 1st July

Delhi Belly produced by Aamir Khan Productions will release on 1st July 2011. Delhi Belly has been directed by Abhinay Deo and stars Imran Khan, Shenaz Treasuryvala and Vir Das.

The date could prove to be lucky for the film as both the hits of Imran Khan's career have come in the first week of July.

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na released on 4th July 2008 and I hate Luc Storys came on 2nd July 2010

Delhi Belly is distributed worldwide by UTV.

Delhi Belly is a sex comedy about a young foreign-returned dude's adventures in the capital and will be directed by ad filmmaker Abhinay Deo. Ranbir Kapoor was zeroed in for the role but date hassles cropped up. Ironically, Imran informs that he was the first choice for the role but he too chose to opt out of the project due to date problems.

A sex-comedy, in full english, is an interesting take for a BW film

It seems like this is one of those "niche" films since sex comedies really aren't that commercial 😉
