DID beats competition with big numbers

Probably it was expected. That the new season of Dance India Dance Doubles would scorch the ratings charts doesn't come as a surprise. After all, haven't the earlier seasons too scored big time? Well, the show opened with a 4.6 TVR surpassing Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa which premiered on Sony with a 4.1 and Nachle Ve on NDTV Imagine with 1.3.
With DID opening at a promising rating for its very first audition episode, Zee now plans to extend its immensely popular weekend non-fiction slot to every weeknight in the coming week starting Monday, January 10 as a build-up to the grand premiere episode on the 14th. The channel has decided to let the entertainment continue on all week days and not just restrict it to the weekends. With the auditions of every city throwing up spectacular dance acts and Master Geeta Kapur, Marzi Pestonji and Rajeev Surti faced with the mammoth task of selecting just 12 couples from amongst the 61 Best Couples from across the country, Zee has decided to showcase its action-packed mega auditions in four parts between Monday and Thursday, from 10th to 13th January in the 10.30 pm slot.
For sure now viewers will await the Grand Premiere at 9:30 PM on January 14.
