EPISODE 681 : 150 Saal purana khoon ( 17-DEC-2010) - Page 13

The episode started on a rather funny note. The chemical factory scene was hilarious, chemicals bubbling even though the factory's shut down, and HCl doesn't look like that at all😆 And another thing that I don't get is how can blood around 250 years old still be liquid? 😆

In the middle, they completely deviated from the original crime, ie the murder, and started focusing on fake collectibles. 😕

The side story about someone following Abhijit Sir was very interesting, and was not too fast, neither too slow, took the right amount of time to progress, and I liked how everything got intertwined, the side story, the frauds of the collectibles to the murder. Really liked that part.😃

Glad to see Daya and Abhijit Sir together 😃 And I appreciate how Daya Sir was on the show most of the time despite his hectic schedule, I really applaud him for that, this shows his concern and care for CID👏 Abhijit Sir also took away the show with his camaraderie with Daya Sir, both of them looked and acted awesome today!

Sachin has improved significantly, but not enough to lead the investigation and all'Freddy is a much better candidate for that. And Freddy was really great today, serious and dedicated, too bad he wasn't given much coverage. Kaajal was amazing today; she was also not given as much screen space as Sachin, but flourished in whatever she was given. I was glad to see that Vivek was given much more importance before 😃

And what's up with Dr. Salunkhe and his portable lab? 😆 But, yes, on the other hand, it is nice to see Narender ji being given more coverage.👏 Well, I kinda have mixed feelings about this case. I mean, the way they got to the truth had more than one loophole, and the PT should've looked and researched more closely at the scientific aspects of the investigation. But the climax and the side story was really exciting and engaging. On the whole, it was above average.

I too found the chemical factory scene a bit hilarious..Wonder what chemical/acids are these that keep on bubbling..😆..However really liked the duo's performence and the fact duo was together  and present in most of the scene made me happy😃

It was an ordinary story with some loopholes(FW has become specialist in it) but I liked it because:
(i) There was no overdose of murders, neither was any mutilated corpse.
(ii) Abhi-Daya were together for most of the time and they were superb as usual.
(iii) After many days I heard "Haan Daya" (though the tone was different) thrice in one single episode.
(iv) Freddy was much serious
(v) ACP did not shouted much.
(vi) And finally I liked the way Abhi said at the end " Yeh dosti hum bhi nehi torenge........."  👏 👏

Now the loopholes as I mentioned FW has now become specialist in keeping some unanswered questions, may be they want that the viewers would use their brain to find answers.
(i) how did the skeleton came in the lab?
(ii) Who searched Abhi's flat?
(iii) Previously Abhi lived in a bunglow, and now in a flat, better not to speak about inconsistency. Or Abhi has changed his bunglow but forgot to inform us. 😆😆

My thoughts about yesterday's episode -

- It was quite a typical murder case, but this was handled considerably better than what we've see so far. The reason for the main villains doing the killing, they way they try to betray their accomplices in the end was realistic and the climax was well done and satisfactory. The fake antiques ring was a good plot.The skeleton idea was interesting, but I wish they expanded more on how they managed to get it to Damodar.

- This was one of Nitika's better stories, but there are oddities again. That magnet-spoon thing was quite amusing to be honest, it's really a deux-ex-machina. 😛  And as mentioned in earlier reviews, I think the subplot of the guy following Abhijeet and ransacking the place could have been done better. But the direction by Santosh sir was quite good and helped make up for the loopholes to some extent.

- They demonstrate incorrect scientific facts again. That scene of acids boiling (or fuming, but why out in the open like that?) in the factory was hilarious to say the least. 😆 Dr. Salunkhe describes the effects of HF on skin accurately but they got some more things wrong. As far as I know, HF or HCl in their fuming state totally decalcify bones, so the skeleton would've become flexible and soft. And chances of any flesh or skin remaining in there are close to zero.

- The performances of our team were great and the team distribution was well done this time. Abhi-Daya were fantastic and I especially loved Abhijeet's performance when he realizes he's being followed, that entire side story. ACP sir was great , and Fredericks too. Sachin was OK but I think he was a bit too aggressive again in the beginning. I liked both Kajal and Vivek;s performances a lot, but wish they are given more screen time.

- The forensic scenes were quite good (apart from the technical problems), the discussions were well handled without arguments.

- All in all, there were weaknesses in the plot but it was quite an enjoyable episode, I liked it. Better than the similar ones we've had before, definitely. So props to the creative team, but I hope they look into the flaws mentioned and correct them so our episodes can be even better. 😊

Okay, now this case had some very good scene but a lot of loopholes too!!!!

There's one loophole I want to point out. HF is a dangerous acid. So why did  nothing happen to the people in the Bio lab who were handling it mistaking it to be a fake skeleton???? Most probably they were not using gloves. Edited by Saadrita - 13 years ago
