i agree - i think gaurav has some idea - its something like he knows what his dad does, and because of that any opinion the ssp has on gaurav - gaurav dislikes it.

I think so, Gaurav understands that or has seen something due to which he has lost all the respect for his father, and sympathizes with his mother and is ready to do anything for her. He understands the pain she's hiding under the perfect wife role.
