Maan - Epitome of Selflessness in Love

How to love? If we love with a view of achieving something from others,then that love is no love. Love means constant self offering on the strength of one's own inner aspiration. Love knows no answer for it does not question. The success of love is in the loving - it is not in the result of loving. We can do no great things; only small things with great love. The most effective medicine here on earth is love unconditional. And, such is the love of Maan Singh Khuraana. It was she who misunderstood and questioned his motives, but he holds himself responsible for not making her trust him strong enough to avoid her having the misapprehension in the first place. It was he who was most hurt by her false accusations, but he reminisces only on how hurt she must have felt because he could not understand her state of mind at that time, and regrets being the cause of her misery whereas he promised to keep misery away from her; feels guilty for increasing her misery when he should have taken care of her; and punishes himself by telling her that perhaps he is not right for her in order to make her stay away from him and thus, to stay safe from the shadows of her past, which both will never be able to forget completely as long as she is with him because he is the brother of the culprit who destroyed her life. His every word reflects his concern for her well-being; reflects his determination for keeping her safe from any more troubles and worries; and reflects his love that makes him think only about her and give up any thoughts for "self". How much more selfless can unconditional love get?

Though the bitterness of losing her love and respect manifests itself in rude behavior at times, the basic essence of his love is pure, unconditional and self-less, and that has to be appreciated for what it is.

An Apology - Reflection of a Pure Heart

I liked her understanding on how much he will be troubling himself as a result of her silence, her realization that she needs to talk to him immediately, and her insistence that he listen to her then and there. I liked the way she presented her apology and the way he understood and responded. The depth of the meaning of every word she uttered can not be understood by those, who are not party to their true feelings, like the rest of the people in the conference room. I also liked the way he acknowledged receiving her sorry note indirectly by talking about the fax.

She accepts that she should have told this to him immediately after he spoke to her earlier. She apologizes for doubting him, his love and his integrity. At that time, she was in such a confusion that it was impossible for her to distinguish between right and wrong. But later, her self-reflection showed her how wrong she was, how baseless her accusations were, and how cruel the circumstances were that did not allow each other to understand the other properly. She accepted that whatever happened is due to her misunderstanding and there is nothing in it for which he should feel guilty. She can no longer bear that he holds himself responsible for this. She can not endure him questioning whether he is right for her or not. For her, that question is meaningless because both of them deserve each other, and no one should doubt this fact anymore. She humbly requests him to forget the past because she wants him and no one else to be her companion for the rest of her life. She tells him how much she needs him, how much her unborn child needs him, and how her future will be as dark as her past without him, and he reciprocates to her immediately with his acceptance. What other proof can there be than her apology to establish the purity of her heart and the strength of her love?

She proved yet again with her persistence in making her apology heard, how honest, sincere and pure of heart she is. Once she realized her mistake in understanding his true intentions, she does not hesitate to correct it. Her integrity is established by her not trying to find reasons to justify her acts, but to accept where she went wrong and express sincere guilt for the way she insulted him in public.


Forgive & Forget: Healing the Hurts We Don't Deserve.

"Will you ever be able to forget your past and forgive me?", he asked. To taste the sweetness of life, one must forget the bitterness of the past, and through her well made apology she made her answer that she is now ready to move on and to do so, requires nothing more than his constant presence beside her. All she now seeks is his forgiveness and his companionship for the rest of her life.

People that understand the true essence of love forgives best , and that is what we witnessed today. As forgiveness can illumine a human life, even so love can enlarge a human mind. Love's gift cannot be given, it waits to be accepted, and what better way to forgive than to accept that gift by making a promise to stay with her in every step she takes into a future that will then become a vision of hope? Today will be remembered as the day when "forgiveness" is redefined by Maaneet's love.

Following is in honor of this final promise which Maan makes Geet.

He doesn't promise sunny days; just a rainbow at the end of a storm.
He doesn't promise to make her life trouble free; just to give her the strength to see things through.
He doesn't promise she'll have no fears; but that he is always there.
Most of all, he promises unconditional and everlasting love.

One last thing to mention. I liked how he dropped the file and ensured they had privacy in a public conference room. It symbolizes to me that they will always share their own private space even if they stand in midst of a crowd, and it also reinforces what Maan said to Geet just before he took her to see the doctor for the first time, "Aise Hamaari Saath Hi Kyu Hota Hain Ki Saaree Duniya Ki Chaaro Taraf Hote Hue Bhi Hum dono Akela Milne Ka Raastha doond Hi Lethe Hain".

I understand all think that she is selfish and being forgiven is what Geet craves the most because it will give her peace...😕😕

She is so selfish that even after Maan told her not to come to ofc, she comes because she knows he is upset..😕😕

She is so selfish that she plays the fool in front of him because she knows her smile is most important for him. 😕😕

She is so selfish because she knows that bringing a smile on his face by asking for forgiveness in her typical childish behavior will not only reduce her guilt but also alleviate Maan's pain... Because he would have to forgive himself 1st to forgive her...

She is so selfish that she wants him to give her punishment to atone her mistake- Why does she say this??? Because this is how she has been reprimanded for her mistakes in her home..So she meant no hurt when she told Maan to punish her for her faults..

She is soo selfish that even after the way he behaved to her during the party... she told him yesterday that he makes no mistakes.. Its she who is at fault always... 😕

And in love - No matter who hurts whom... ultimately both suffer and the person who has started it all gets hurt the most... 🤢🤢

And when we are hurt.. Reason is as far away from us as the Sun is from Neptune 😆😆

Geet is such a shallow creature that at the age of 18 instead of listening to her elders.. she decided to follow a stranger's words which gave her the courage and take a course of action that alienated her from her kin...

Maan has always been Geet's savior... But its mostly Physically... Geet has been Maan's savior - Emotionally... He who had become a hard shell of man and had hidden all his emotions and goodness under the rug of his heart... His true nature came out cos of her.. because of what she was..😍.. Dadi too acknowledges the same!!

There is a diag in HP - in the wedding house... He says its the paradoxial nature of hers that draws him to her... She is strong but cries like a child when adversity is thrown at her... She is a confused soul - Why.. Because her heart and mind are constantly at war… She has loads of insecurities.. But she is not without her Self Respect.. That was brought out courtesy Maan's nasty remarks.. He has always had the power to make her sit up and not just listen to him.. but follow his words to make her stronger..😳😳😳

Though she was wrong when it came to MU, she thought she was standing up for her Self Respect.. Later Ego and pride came to help her fight her battle with Maan. The min she realized that she was wrong.. she abandoned all pretense and is back to clearing the air…

He is her world.. She will shatter if he is no longer in her life.. Just like the pieces of a broken mirror… She may laugh, eat, cry.. But she would be existing.. not living..

Behind my smile is a hurting heart. Behind my laugh, I'm falling apart. Look closely at me and you will see, the girl I am...isn't me.😭😭😭

And ultimately these lines simply describes Geet for me - I think I'm afraid of being happy because everytime I'm happy, something bad always happens. I don't deserve you...I never did.

Wow- This describes Geet's jealousy for me - I'm jealous of every girl that has ever hugged you, cause for one moment, they hugged my entire world

This is for Maan - I'll always be beside you until the very end, wiping all of your tears away, being your best friend. I'll smile when you smile and feel all the pain you do, and if you cry a single tear, I promise I'll cry too.

It's YOU. You mean everything to me...you are the first thought in the morning when I wake up, my last thought before I go to bed, you smile at me in my dreams, when you are sad, I feel sad, and when I see your true smile, I feel incredible, like there is no other thing around and all I can see is you.

I've learned it takes years to build up trust, but only seconds to destroy it.

And finally after this long boring Post… I have to say this to myself -No matter what I do, somebody hates me.

And I would like to explain just one thing about Maan...

Maan reacted the way he did because - he is a person who beleived Truth was ultimate in any relationship!! And here is the love of his life calling him false- He did not care she insulted him in front of the whole world.. Here she said his character was false.. thats what hurt Maan the most.. That he had opened up himself to her (ACC to him, she heard the entire conversation), and yet she disbeleived him...So I understand what he went through and I understand his reaction to the pain... He fell back to his safety net - Namely the angry Facade...

However, I wrote this post only to reiterate that even though we do not agree to someone's way of behaving, it would be nice if an attempt is made to understand or atleast accept the person's faults.. The way we readily accept Maan's faults , why dont we accept Geet's??

November 18^th

Today's episode was a wonderful, so much better than yesterday.

There was episode and scene continuation.

The pace of the episode was slowed down and not rushed.

CVs and Nissar, Thank you for a wonderful episode. 👏

Barry Dhillon, Thank you for such outstanding dialogue in today's episode for both Maan and Geet.👏

GC was superb.

Drasthi was superb.

The emotions emoted by both GC and Drasthi was exactly what was needed for this scene. Stand "O" for both.👏

1. Geet, Maan & BOD

Geet enters the conference room to apologize to Maan. She does not get any of Maan's hints that he is on a video conference and the BOD hears her apology to Maan, and they smiled.

Maan disconnects video conference and delivered the most admirable and heart wrenching dialogue.

Maan says to Geet, "you are asking me for an apology; who had promised to help you in all troubles. Who instead of helping you in pain, gave you more pain and trouble." Geet tries to stop him but he continues to say "I couldn't even keep my promise and full fill my promises; maybe I am not right for you. Thinking that Dev is my brother… I hate all relations I have. I fear that if I don't keep myself away from you then your future will be clouded with me bringing back the memories of the past and even if I want I can't forget your past." Maan then asks Geet "can you forgive me and forget your past?"

Maan, who has always kept his promises to Geet, here doesn't acknowledge that he has blames himself for something he isn't even responsible for because it was his family that destroyed her life.

The expression of pain in Maan's eyes and pain were heart wrenching.

His words, his expressions and the idea behind them are so romantic.

This is Maan's humility, his grace. Not only is this Maan an epitome of truth but also of selfless love.

2. MSK, Geet, Pindi, 2 Company, Sasha & Tasha

While Sasha is presenting, MSK is losts in his thoughts regarding his morning conversation with the love of his life and wonders if Geet thinks the same as she did not answer.

Geet walks into the conference room holding file. Maan and Geet stares at eachother.

MSK finally snaps out of his eye lock with Geet after Sasha calls him.

Maan scolding Sasha once again for interrupting Geet, hallelujah!

Geet tells him she knows what is bothering him and he has to hear what the fax from the old client says if not he'll always be bothered.

Geet planned a corporate merger for her and Maan. She confesses that the "company is sorry and was very wrong and that Maan wasn't wrong."

Geet further goes on to say that "it was a misunderstanding and both companies are equal and she tells Maan that the company needs you and the company's heir needs you and that if you don't accept them then their future will be darkened like ashes."

In the above dialogue, she confesses that she needs him, she asks him to be the father of her child, even though he had already accepted her with the child previously.

Maan says yes to the merger.

Geet you made me proud today.

Geet's apology here is also heart wrenching as you can see she realized that because of her, she almost lost the love of her life. Her apology was definitely her hearts cry for her love.

Here we see a mature and assertive Geet and I hope CVs and Nissar does not destroy her character sketch anymore.

When Maan and Geet walk towards each other, Aaaaah, the look on Sasha's face PRICELESS!

Here we also see Geet as Maan's equal and one soul with two bodies united once again. Now we have Manneet!

3. Dev & Meera

Meera has always been Dev's guider and today she points him in the right direction of going and speaking to MSK.

4. Waldrobe

Geet:

a) Please get her different styles of outfit in different colors.

IP 3 Company

b) Why do you still have then in IP overalls that says "Indian Paints" while they are Khurana

Construction employees? Please get them new outfits.

Here is what needs to happen…

1. Geet needs to put the Taveez around Maan's neck.

2. Dev and Meera should go and speak to MSK regarding NT.

3. Geet needs to give a public statement to the press saying that "she misunderstood the

situation and acted rash. Maan is nothing like Dev and Maan is and will always be reputable. The answer to your question is yes, Maan and I are getting married."

4. Sasha needs to be put out of commission once and for all. She should not have another hand

in causing any more damages to Geet or Maan as for an employee she has already got away with too much.

5. Dev's mother and sister need to be mentioned as part of the criminal crew and be punished

too.

6. Geet needs to know Meera's true ties to Khurana's family.

7. Maan needs to become the ferocious tiger. Remember his words to NT that if she made Geet

cried he would take revenge for each tear drop. I don't think NT can pay this debt in its'

entirety in this lifetime.

8. Maan still needs to know

i. That NT poisoned Dadi's mind

ii. That Dadi kicked Geet out of the house.

iii. That NT lied to Geet about him not wanting to see her

iv. That NT lied to Geet about the taveez and again Maan not wanting to see her

v. That NT moved him from his original hospital room in order to prevent Geet from seeing

Him and that she stopped Geet at the door of his hospital room from entering to see him.

vi. That Sasha is the reason why the story came out at the office.

vii. Nasty Attitude insulted Geet and threw her into the pool.

viii. Sasha is working with NT and locked them in store room.

9. Where did NT get POAs and are they real?
