I agree with Varsha jee we should not discuss her weight here.

Weight has many layers to it( pun unintended) and sometimes things like thyroid problem also contribute to it. So plz spare Abhilasha the flak nd yes, breathing exercises should help her.

In fact Adnam Sami despite being obese at one point of time had no breathing issues
Best of luck to ABhilasha and Sniti and sugandha ALL 3

i think weight has become grossly a topic of debate. I remember Arpita Khan in Idol 5who was in fact a little overweight not much was made to believe her weight was result of her elimination( as per her elimination interview). So please appearances and singing are not related. So much so that even little Antara Nandy in last year's little champs was not spared.bcoz of her chubby figure

Okay, those people who are saying Abhilasha should not win because she's fat are really being shallow. Since when does weight create talent? Singing should be the reason for the argument.

I know many people talk about breathing being heard, and I agree with everyone, that it can be clearly heard in. This a really correctable problem. I have the same problem too because I tend to have poor breath control. She just needs to hold the mic a little more awake and take smoother breaths at the right time. She should mark her music where she needs to take a breath.

She has a beautiful voce, and she has proven she is pretty versatile as well. She has been fairly consistent too. I think she can give Kamal and Sughanda a tough competition!

Well IMHO Sugandha is a versatile singer with classical background and Sniti is a unique singer with classical background. Abhilasha has neither the uniqueness of Sniti nor the versatility of Sugandha nor has she shown her classical expertise in any performance. Her only advantage is her sweet voice but that alone cannot make her better than Sugandha/Sniti in terms of singing.

I always agree to the fact that Sniti's voice is unique and has strong classical background.......is anyone denying this fact...same with Sugandha.... is also classicaly i .trained and is a good singer. Is anyone fighting over it.....just because someones voice is unique or they are classically trained do not automatically qualify them to be the best singer or they are singing without mistakes and same goes with Abhilasha.....just because she has a sweet voice she is not the best. But for your info she is CLASSICALLY trained and you saying abhilasha has not shown versatility is very difficult for me to understand esp coming from a person like you who I thought is beyond prejudice. It makes me sad when you can talk like this.Abhilasha sang variety of songs sung by varied singers and from different genres..if this is not versatility I have no idea what is versatility? She has the-right combination in correct proportion of Sur & Bhava -latter is missing from lot of singers.......while rendering? songs... this stands her apart. Abhilasha, well done! May God be with you in your endless journey of Sangeet !!

Amukta, please don't get emotional.. Abhilasha is still among my top 4 but this post was in response to the opening post which said 'Abhilasha is the best among girls'. And it is my opinion that she is not the best among girls. That is not demeaning her singing in any way.
I am not saying that she is not a good singer or she is not classically trained. But has she portrayed her classical prowess in the contest so far? About versatility, Abhilasha has sung songs which fall in mostly one genre thats popular soft bollywood numbers.
Again, this is my opinion. You are entitled to yours.
And again, all 3 girls are good and I didnt want to compare but the topic compelled me to do so.
So chill 😊

What is there to get perplexed? I am not being emotional when I say that I dont have problem with Sniti's lisp. In certain songs, her lisp is noticeable and in certain I absolutely dont find any problem with diction/lisp eg songs like Jhoote Naina Bole, Sajana Re Tere bin Jiya Mora, In ankhon Ki Masti and a couple more. And for me, her singing in most songs is just too good to even notice her lisp. Just like you dont perhaps notice Abhilasha's panting as you might be too involved in her singing. But that doesnt happen for me. You got to accept this that each individual is different and has different likes/dislikes. How can you make such a serious allegation that I'm not truthful?????? Its a personal remark.
Didnt expect it from you.
I am completely truthful in saying that Abhilasha has not shown her versatility(especially compared to Sugandha). I havent heard her singing any classical song so far. I haven't heard her singing songs in the genre Sniti sings(NFAK, Shafquat ali etc). She has just sung simple melodious compositions.

please do not get emotional I never said you are not truthful i only said your remark about abhilasha is not truthful. Is classical singing only singing aalaps and srgmp....why are the mentors saying that she is a complete singer and sings all kinds of songs from classical to fast to semi classical to soft numbers.I have no clue ...anyway there is nothing between you and me and lets both not get worked up.Each one finally sticks to their point of view.
