I don't think Maryada has anything to do with Parineeta!!! 😕 None of the characters are similar, nor is the storyline!
Aditya's character is shown to be that of a very determined, individualistic and opinionated man...someone who is extremely sure of what he is and what he wants!Priya, even though very weak and shattered right now, is also arched out as a very strong character! Principled, righteous and straight-talking! Very similar to Aditya, in fact! They are sure to have some major clashes later on (When they get married and Priya comes out of her past trauma) Especially given that Priya will rebel against the way the women of the Jhakar family are treated! Aditya will probably find himself stuck between supporting his Father or standing by his wife! That might see him fighting with Priya or atleast not supporting her! I hope that the most negative his character gets, not more than that! Its very nice to see a male character as being so strong and charismatic, without any negativity in him! Most of the times, daily soaps try to show a strong male character by portraying him as a sort of anti-hero...someone cold, ruthless, rude and arrogant! Sort of a contrived Mills & Boons hero!Whenever the hero / male character is shown as being a 'good guy' they simultaneously show him as a sort of Champu / Silly person who has loads of ideals and nice thoughts but is unable to do anything concrete for himself or for anyone else!Aditya here has a sunshine personality...he gets along with everyone, is friendly and helpful, has a sense of humor, lacks any apparent ego and yet is very alpha-male types! Determined, forthright and in some way ruthless too!Wish, they would let Aditya remain the way he is!
