'CID : Need of New Support Cast'

I know CID is a very successful show ... so can't they afford new guys, girls and people as culprits..

whey are they bringing ex-CID offcers as culprits in the show?? few days i saw one girl from CID who had played an officer for several episodes ..

i don;t like this stuff...all the actors...EX or present have respect for their characters...so atleast dont make them murderers or culprits and insult our liking towards the show...

Actually she was not an ex-CID officer. If you look at the episodes in proper sequence, you'll realise that Parineeta Seth had acted in several episodes as a criminal/other character before she joined CID as Insp Kaveri. The same was the case with Aditya Srivastav(Abhijeet), Jasveer Kaur(Kajal) and Vaishnavi Dhanraj(Tasha) too. They played roles of criminals before coming in as cops.

Maybe FW takes in an actor for a few episodes and if they find that the actor is comfortable and fits into the role of a cop they take him/her as a full-time actor in the role of a cop.

I think that's perfectly ok.

The trouble is that Sony is showing the re-runs in a random sequence, so the people who have just started watching CID are getting confused.

@tweety_lovely The topic is intersting but if you could change the title to "CID : Need of New Support Cast", it can lead to better participation and an interesting discussion.

The day saas bahu saga took over Indian Industry proper support cast became diifcult for FW to find.

Well May be...

But if this is it what ur saying so...then it is also not good...

First things first their female officers are just fillers they can't take any decision on their own, Secondly I can understand what u r trying to say basicaally the cop gals in the show get a little scope and very less footage then if they come back as murderers they will hardly get noticed.

It may b ok for people who doesn't bother much abt the supporting cast but it defintely does for other people as well. I mean Mumbai is a country of lakhs of actors and actresses, they can take any one...bringing ex cops as culprits can sour fans memories...well sometimes !

@tweety it's the other way round !!! These actors had first played criminals and then entered as cops !!! Maybe they played as criminals so that FW could see whether they fit in the show or not !!

tweety, not only in Mumbai country, many serials have the tradition of a test episode.

I dont think it is wrong. But better we convert this discussion on the support cast in episodes other than officers.

Regarding support cast other than officers, they used a bald headed criminal (in the opening sequence and piracy racket episode and also few more). I liked his style of taporigiri. To be frank enough I liked him more than Insp. Sachin.
