Sandhya not in her room
DK goes to Sandhya's room, but finds it empty. He thinks she's w/ Neeraj, but finds Neeraj's room empty as well. He notes that Puru & Prabha have gone out, and everything is quiet, so that if Sandhya screams, nobody will hear, besides him (What about Pankaj & Sarla, DK?)
So DK goes out of there, looking for Sandhya, and runs into Yuvraj. He tells her that she's not in her room, and so they branch out and decide to look for her.
Purushottam advises Neeraj
Neeraj is sitting on a bench in the garden, and Puru joins him. He says that he's going out w/ Prabha, but b4 he does, he has something important to tell him. Neeraj tries to avoid him, but Puru stops him and tells him that he understands Neeraj's concerns, and Neeraj should see how things are right now.
He tells Neeraj that everybody knows that he & Sandhya lied about going ahead w/ their plan, and so now they're no longer willing to involve him in any of their plans. He tells him that others asked him to tell Neeraj to keep a distance from all family affairs, and Puru adds that that's his advice as well. He tells Neeraj that if anything happened to him, Puru would be answerable to Neeraj's parents (Wouldn't Neeraj's parents ask him how he could cheat Neeraj from having Sandhya to himself, instead of getting her into this worthless marriage?) He then repeats his request, and leaves.
Sandhya confronts Pankaj
Sarla chachi is in the hallway, and Sandhya arrives there. Sarla asks her whether she's headed outside, and Sandhya tells her that she feels suffocated whether indoors or outdoors, but is headed out anyway, and asks whether Neeraj is there? Pankaj joins them, and tells her that he's there in the garden - he can take her there if she wants. Sandhya hesitates, and Pankaj tells her that it's him, Pankaj uncle. Sandhya asks whether it's him, or whether it's his voice and someone else touching her? š
Pankaj tells her that he concedes that whatever happened to her and her father was wrong, and that on behalf of everybody, he apologizes. However, they cannot change everything that's happened. He requests her to forget everything that happened to date as a bad dream š” That would be in the best interests of not just her and her sisters, but everybody. He asks her to do whatever Yuvraj tells her for peace in the house.
Sandhya asks them both that if everything that had happened to her were to happen to either of their 2 daughters, would this still be their reaction? Sarla is shocked, and Pankaj tells Sandhya that she is right - had it been their daughters, then they, like her father, would have fought for her, probably even more. However, as it stands, in their family, Yuvraj is their son, and he's the most important member of the family. They would continue to do what's in his interests.
Sandhya then asks him that if Yuvraj wanted to kill his daughters, then what? After all, they know his secret, and if they were to side w/ Sandhya, instead of Yuvraj, and go against their family, then? Would they allow them to die, like her father and everyone else?
Pankaj explodes @ the question, and tells her that he would support Yuvraj even then, and that everybody who knows Yuvraj's secret is either on their side, or not alive. The same applies to his daughters as well, and if they decide to go against Yuvraj, then forget Yuvraj, he himself would kill them. Both Sarla & Sandhya are shocked to hear this. Pankaj tells Sandhya to say & do everything she does after a lot of deliberation, and that he was there b'cos Sandhya was forbidden from going around the house, and orders her to go back to her room.
Sandhya leaves, and Sarla watches her, in tears. Pankaj tries to tell her something, but she leaves him in disgust. š
DK tries to rape Sandhya
Sandhya returns to her room, wondering why is all this happening to her? She came hear w/ a lot of hopes & dreams, but all of that has become a nightmare. She then sits @ the foot of her bed and starts crying.
DK arrives in the room, closes it from inside, and locks it. Sandhya asks who it is, but DK silently walks up to her and grabs her. š” She recognizes it as DK, and asks him why he locked the door from inside? DK tells her it's b'cos she's very careful, and to now use that to pay attention to what he tells her. He tells her to quietly lie down on the bed.
Sandhya violently throws him off š and tells him to leave the room right then. DK goes back to her and tells her that she was willing to have a relationship w/ Neeraj, so why not him? (She was willing to only b'cos of that deranged nephew of yours) Sandhya again throws him off, and threatens to scream & get everyone here. She tells him to at least respect their relationship - he's the uncle of her hubby, and therefore like her sasur. DK grabs her again, and tells her that he can do anything, and anything he doesn't get easily, he gets by force. He asks her about what relationship is she talking about? She doesn't have any relationship w/ Yuvraj - it's a fake relationship just to get a child in her and show the world. He tells her that he'll get from her a son that will inherit the Jagirdar fortunes, and Yuvraj will do nothing. He never wanted her to have the relationship w/ Neeraj, and now, his dreams would be fulfilled (don't you have any dreams w/ Suni chachi? Why did you marry her?) Sandhya throws him off again, and this time, his head hits a pillar & he falls. š
Sandhya runs out of the room screaming for Yuvraj, and runs into him. He asks her what is wrong, and she tells him that DK... Yuvraj turns and sees DK smarting from that blow that Sandhya gave him. Yuvraj tells her to come w/ him into the room, and winks slyly to DK.
Sarla decides she can't support all this
Sarla is in her room crying, and decides that she can no longer support Pankaj, now that she knows what he's capable of doing to their daughters. She decides she has to do something.
Yuvraj rips Sandhya's mangal-sutra, locks her in
Sandhya asks Yuvraj if this was what was left to be done w/ her? She asks him to ask DK what he was going to do to her. She's ashamed to even repeat it, and says that even the relationship is no longer sacred.
Yuvraj explodes, and shocks Sandhya by asking what's wrong w/ it? š” He tells her that DK was doing all this on his behalf. He orders her to quietly co-operate, and not to breathe a word about this to anyone. Sandhya tells him he ought to be ashamed - she couldn't imagine that they'd sink this low. She asks him whether that was why he married her and brought her here, and reminds him that she's his wife.
Yuvraj tells her that if that's her problem, he'll fix it right now - and snatches her mangal sutra directly from her neck, snapping it, and also removes her head ornament (didn't see it) and tells her that she's free from her relationships, and that all they need from her is a kid. He then throws her @ DK and tells him that she's all yours, and nobody will disturb you. Sandhya begs him to at least fear god, but Yuvraj tells her that he is his own god, and to just fall in with his plans. He then bolts the door from outside š” She again throws DK off and runs to the door, begging Yuvraj to let her go, but he's already bolted it. Yuvraj leaves, while DK chuckles on watching Sandhya turn around and cry. š”
Comments
A somewhat ugly episode, but it was fun watching Sandhya repeatedly throw DK off. She should have known better than think that Yuvraj would oppose this - DK wouldn't have dared do that w/ Yuvraj opposed to it. Anyway, Yuvraj just exposed himself even more.
Also, I'm glad Yuvraj broke that mangal sutra and told her that she was free from any relationship. How about making it official, Mr Jagirdar, w/ a divorce? That way, let Sandhya marry whoever she wants. And hey, have DK have a baby w/ Suni chachi, and claim it as yours.
Tomorrow, hopefully Sarla or Neeraj come to her aid, and she knocks DK unconscious. Neeraj would do well to forget his loyalty to the Jagirdars, and get Sandhya out of there - his gratitude towards them doesn't mean that he owes it to them to support their raping somebody.
