I would like to know your opinions on my thoughts about real time Aham and Gopi jodi. In the serial we know that Gopi is kind hearted, docile and hard working gal. Also the fact is that she is not educated and does not fit as a wife of our educated, modern Indian guy who is rich and highly respectful of his mother. Gopi however fits very well with the genre of her mother in law, as a home maker. We all know that one day while living together, the feelings will erupt and Aham will start loving the decency and simplicity of Gopi and will accept her as a wife.
But my question is- Isn't this a compromise ? Compromise with feelings, time and a good amount of struggle in life. Marriage is anyway a big adjustment, whether arranged or after knowing each other. Even couples who shack have to make further adjustments intheir lifestyle and emotions after they say "I Do'.The point I am making here is that Aham has a full right to have an easy married life, less adjustments to make and so does Gopi. Gopi being a conservative Indian, would go as per the wishes of her peers but Aham who could have taken a stand against this alliance.
What does Aham do when he is emotionally aroused and wants to be with a woman of his choice? One day when this marriage will consummate, is it going to be a compromise with time or it would be real love ( a man is a social animal and is bound to fall in love , we even start loving our pets) between Gopi and Aham? And if it is going to be love, is it because this is what is in the platter for Aham or because he starts understanding the good stuff in Gopi which he could have gotten from another girl of his liking too?
Would like to know your thoughts on this.
