this topic is really good. i m late in answering this. marriage (arranged and love) are based on compromises. in love marriages the couple know each other well so the time to adjust is less b cos there is support between them. in arranged marriages the individuals take time to support each other. Aham is not as selfish as Rashi .Rashi's main aim was to marry a rich man so she can a more comfortable life.
Aham is momma's boy. he cant hurt his mom feelings. when he sacrifices his love for his mom he will surely sacrifice his tough exterior when he understands gopi. koki choose gopi over Anitha because as she always tell a mother knows which is better for her children. she knew though it will take time for ahem to compromise, he will realize the goodness in gopi and her efficiency in household management which will lack in anitha. this kind of love which is slowly blossoming between them will make their bond of love strong and make them survive any misunderstandings in future.
marriage is nothing but compromise of another individuals intrusion in ones space. but when love is there nothing matters.
