Maan and half-truth-- brilliant again i think.

I hate to say this but I have to agree that MSK needed half truth before any kind of confession. I didnt think of this before only after I watched the episode today.

The confession today would have been great, if not for one little fact. MSK and geet were not on the same plane. this is so cuz

--- From the beginning Maan has been in a smug place regarding his feelings. He had been too sure about Geet's and has always been the one DEMANDING the confession. HE HAD NOTHING TO LOOSE.
He knew what she felt, he knew when she wanted to confess(in a way she did want to tell the truth so they cld confess love), and he even timed it at his will.
(even today he wanted her to tell him first)

--- Geet on the other hand had everything to loose. The hard facts of her past cld be poison to any man.
Yet she has always been the one to risk it for him .She risked her life and that of her unborn baby to save him in HP. She was risking terrible hurt, and rejection wen she told him the truth.
She has always been completely open to any attack and not feared failures and pain.

MSK is on the contrary. He avoids risking pain and hurt. Todays confession would still have had him in a very comfortable position.

---When we talk about Love , of the magnitude maan and geet feel for each other, they both shud be completely equal in vulnerability and humility. HUMILITY is what is lacking in Maan right now.

After today, he is goin be furious and devastated with the painful half-truth. This will make him hurt geet definitely like neva before, maybe by being mean with words in private, or subtly taunt in front of others(they still have to play fiance game).

Maan will NOT hold back his hurt and his temper. He WILL lash back. Geet might take it for a while trying to clarify but ....

SO THEN wen Maan gets to know the truth, he will REGRET, his contrition is what is needed to make him humble. To make him care LESS about his own hurt and RISK pain and discomfort for those HE LOVES.
The confession THEN would be where maan and geet are on equal footing. It would be more intense , honest, and passionate, cuz there will be no holding back of any kind from either side.

Though i do dread that by the time maan comes to know of the truth, he will have already alienated geet who might just decide to leave or something. The confession will be dramatic to say the least but will be worth the wait.

Maan wanted this confession only when he was COMPLETELY sure of her feelings. I had said in my earlier post that he needs to learn of LOve, of loving without pre-reqs and conditions and risking it.

Thats what I infer from this scenario. Painful times ahead people.

PS: I also dont want to see Maan having his confident look/smile while confessing like today. Their intensity would be best wen even maan is all out there and deperately NEEDS for her to accept him and love him . I am actually looking for expressions that completely tear his heart, like wen we saw wen geet left her job and Adi had come to ask maan where she was(wen maan got angry that she arranged a shaadi like party). Maan s expressions there were the BEST and most UNGUARDED ever.
I want to expression of that calibre from him again ....pleeeeease!!

i agree with you
even with liking maneet so much and enjoying maan being madly in love with geet but i think maan was controlling the situation and was so confident about geet'answer. also why was he so determinant to get that three words from her first? same as a demanding child without considering that he should behave much mature than geet ( she is just 18)
maybe we can say his behavior and eyes shown his deep love for her but we are talking abut words and confession.
i think he should learn that real love is more about giving than taking and for this reason is so priceless!!!!!!
he should learns to think about his demands less and consider geet' side more and for result what a wonderful lover geet is going to get!!!!!!!!!
but until that day poor geet ,poor maan and poor us that should learn to be more patient

i so agree! I didn't like the fact that he wanted to hear ILY from her mouth 1st! it's more classy when the guy says it, but since he was so confident...he was all like you say it! But i agree...i wanna see desperation in his eyes!

yep...another good thing would be this week they will definitely focus on Maan's 'feelings'.
Up until now, i felt, his emotions weren't given time and detailed expression. I hope to see(hear) more monologues from Maan where he ACTUALLY describes himself, his thought process.
I want to see more of his 'self' revealed. with no excuses.

oh yes...then too we saw a myriad of emotions on his face! Maan looks so beautifully young and noble , wen he emotes vulnerability or hurt!
